#Cr30 #3dprintmill #beltprinter - Jak na to + styl
This certainly the best CR 30 review I’ve seen. I jus subscribed.
Thank you. It's appreciated.
You know thought the video may not have amazing transitions or all sorts of wow moments! EVERYTHING that I heard in the video were useful, and the info matches the style of the video! KEEP up the great work on this
Thank you, it's very much appreciated.
Great machine and an incredibly concise video. Great job, keep it up.
Thank you. I've started adding the modding videos to go along with this machine, so if you haven't done some of those, yet, you might want to check them out.
Subscribed due to info not small talk !
Thank you for this great video :) I make a lot of full sized 3D printed models so I am really considering buying one of these. I have a couple of projects planned where this machine would really make it all so much easier, than using a regular 3d printer. Your review really helped me decide if I should get a CR-30. Liked and subscribed thanks for sharing :)
I'm happy to hear that it helped you out. Definitely add some ferrules and upgrade to a Bowden tube. It'll save you sooooo much trouble.
Love all of your videos. They are very well done and full of useful information. I just bought a CR 30 last week and have been having lots of fun with it but bed adhesion is an issue. I can get the first print in a series to stick but all prints after the first always comes loose.
On a side note have you tried ideamaker for a slicer for the cr 30? I use it instead of crealitybelt. It has lots of neat features and you can preload Nak3d's profile he uses for his cr 30.
You need to condition the bed first. Using isopropyl alcohol, you'll scrub down the bed. There's a coating which is left over from manufacturing. I'd replace the bowden tube with a capricorn as soon as possible. For some filaments, I found that my hot end needed to be heated above 210 to get good adhesion. Hope this helps.
thanks for a great vid, had you considered a linear rail upgrade ?
I'm planning to do mine when the new stepper motors come,
I actually bought that a while ago and haven't had time to install it yet. I might add a better hot end while I'm doing the install.
originally i was going to get the cr-30 as my first printer since i want to print really large props, but i got off the new buyers high and opted for a prusa mk3s definitely going to keep reviews like this one bookmarked because i want a belt printer for productions based prints
There are also some new kits on the market that allow you to upgrade less expensive machines to work similarly. I haven't gotten my hands on one of those as yet, so I can't rate how good they are at the moment.
You paid too much. Prusa is more of a religion than a well considered purchase. I have listed the cheap parts on the Mk3 elsewhere. I have a Anycubic Kobra that worked very well right out of the box with very little tuning.
great video. i just got a CR-30 and all hooked up and printing some test files on the USB. installed both BlackBelt and CrealityBelt. No profile in BlackBelt for the CR-30. Did you just do a custom profile to use that slicer? i assume just set the width and height, and nozzle size is all that is needed?? but not sure about other starting gcode. thanks for any info.
For this machine I used the provided slicing software by Creality mainly since it had several features designed specifically with this machine in mind. I may do an update latter on to cover that slicer software, however it will take some time since I'm still finishing up on some other videos.
@@Yarkspiri thanks. I have played with all three slicers. the ideaMaker is pretty comprehensive so using that so far. Did you end up making a video on the replacement of the tin connectors to ferrules. would love to see the details on that. keep up the good work. thanks
I was going to, however, I lost the footage from the filming. This machine was pretty standard however, so if you refer to this one czcams.com/video/JEwOtIJ7CIM/video.html it'll be pretty close. Any of the terminals will definitely have the tinned wires, and the rest of the instructions will be the same.
Lol, I watched it 2.0 speed and then you mentioned text to follow along. 🤣
I do the same because it saves so much time, but it is an acquired skill.
Do you know any alternatives?
There was a mod for the Ender 3 a while back which would probably be a better option for mass productions. The CR-30 is really only useful for really long prints but if you cut them up into smaller pieces then it could be implemented in the Ender 3 Mod.
Can it print in carbon fiber nylon ?
You'd have to do some upgrades prior to being able to do so. You'll need to update the hot end nozzle + firmware to start things off but I'd be more concerned about damaging the printing belt. I'm unsure if it can take those types of temperatures without starting to deform or release toxic fumes. Also, please keep in mind that you would need to have proper ventilation when printing with such materials.
Wow... that seems like a lot of work just to get it up and keep it running.
While it worked out of the box initially, ya, there was quite a bit of work to do in the end. I recently tested a bunch of FDM and SLA printers for the tinned wires in a video, and this does seem to be a widespread issue, unfortunately. So if you have a 3d printer, I'd suggest you check and replace those connections with ferrules one's instead.
You taught people who have already got a CR-30 and researched it nothing at all.
It's a review and has been titled as such. If you want a tutorial, there's one video that goes through a pre-made mod.
@@Yarkspiri and where is that?

Its not really worth the value
Especially now days. With the existing mod kits out there, there are easier alternatives which are of a better value.
