    Joe Hart was not useless. 75 caps for England - same number as David Seaman. He was an outstanding shot stopper early in his career. His biggest problem is that goalkeeping has evolved beyond recognition in the last 10 years and he didn't have the skill-set to evolve with it.

      The same guy (Sinclair) that thinks the North West and North East are the same. According to him, Trippier moved from Madrid to Newcastle because he's a North West lad. Him, and Danny Murphy need to be removed from this show. Murphy made a comment a while ago about defenders taking penalties, that only strikers should, despite him being an average midfielder that took penalties. Murphy also says right-backs shouldn't be a captain because they are not in the middle referring to Séamus Coleman. Sinclair will just defend anyone from Man City, and West Ham. Sinclair's opinions are completely framed by his association with those clubs.

You can't be carried in the world's toughest league. And as Simon says, there's no context. He could have been fed up with weeks of effortless sessions etc. Yes, what he said wasn't nice, could have been framed better etc. But Hart is done. If he wants to be a coach or supporter of the club, he can take a big pay cut or buy a season ticket.

      @@sharingiscaring1952 They gave him a contract. If they were never gonna play him, they shouldnt have signed him. He wasnt brought in to start, he was supposed to be a sub GK and even in that role, he was told that he was never gonna have a chance. The club signed him before the manager and before either played their first game, he had already made his mind up. Thats not the right attitude as manager, you should always give a player a chance to prove himself, at least once.
      You're right we're missing context for the other side of the story and Nuno is probably right about Hart's ability, but the timing and the fact he got sacked so early himself doesnt look good on his management style either...

  • @MyShowbizName
    @MyShowbizName Před 2 lety +31

    He was certainly useless at West Ham, constantly chopped and changed between Hart and Adrian because neither one could be consistent for any period of time. Maybe he's finally regained his confidence but it seems to me that Nuno told him in blunt terms as he had asked him to. Not sure what the problem is. The amount of times I hear players say something like 'the manager kept telling me I was part of the team but never played me'. Well, do you want the truth or not? He said don't hold back and Nuno didn't.

  • @danielgalea8499
    @danielgalea8499 Před 2 lety +68

    This is ridiculous. He doesn't rate him, he doesn't want to give him any lifeline because he has 2 other goalies he prefers. It's very simple.
    Joe Hart at 32 isn't going to improve enough to overtake them in his opinion, so telling him to improve on things he cannot is just a waste of everyone's time.
    Absolutely nothing wrong with anything Nuno has done here.
    Comparing Nunos career as a player to Hart, is equally ridiculous. Maybe Mourinho and Arrigo Sacchi should have never said anything to anyone, considering they didn't play at all.

    Joe Hart adds so much more to Celtic than just his performances on the park.
    Joe has become a leader in the dressing-room and an outstanding ambassador for the club. His interactions with, and his respect for, the Celtic support has arguably made him our signing of the season.
    I was a huge cynic when he signed, but he converted me with his performances and his presence.
    This is intended to be a season of redemption for Celtic; however - Big Joe has already redeemed himself in my eyes.

    I'm a spurs fan and Joe I've met he's a good guy but now his body doesn't respond how an elite keepers body should..I believe what ended his time at spurs were the few consecutive shots that beat him from distance. If you watch Joe he jumps across but doesn't spring up to at least get near the shot.. hardly getting off the ground.
    That's what nuno meant no leg strength..it was actually quite embarrassing to be beat that way time after time.
    Players knew.. shoot from distance and Joe will flail and miss.

He was seen as the great hope of English goalkeeping , after the noticeable decline of Seaman and the shambles replacing him. Joe did well for a while, especially early on for club and country, but overtime you could see him making the same mistakes game after game. All Joe did was talk a big game, or think he can psychologically outwit everyone he played against. Some of it was embarrassing really. Glad he's doing well in Scotland, but he'll probably come back and say how unfairly he's been treated after they won a two horse race for the league.

    Harts confidence was shot when he was in the EPL. He was pretty much at the end of Harry Maguires current trajectory..
    Going to Celtic has been great for him, and he has been able to rebuild and become a really useful player once again.

    Joe hart was the best prem goalie for years and kept de gea off top spot for afew years… still holds the joint record for golden gloves… joe was unreal for us (Man City) and we’ll love that man forever… well I will anyway

    top debate, very intelligent discussion. Sad state of English football when Joe Hart got the run he had. Thank god it has improved since then.

    He asked for the managers opinion and got it. Would've been more unfair to to lie and keep him knowing he was never going to play

    Trevor argues Joe Hart was not given a chance because he went to clubs who's goalkeepers were all better than him?!!! So he's not very good then Trev?

    Pep replaced Hart with Bravo and that didn't go so well. Maybe Pep isn't perfect.

      Then signed one of the best GK in the world the season after. So it did work out pretty well.
