Driving my big rig eastbound on the Oakland Bay Bridge

Leaving San Francisco,CA headed east on I-80 and across the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge. Look for the overhead sign structure (at 1:05 to 1:07) before the bridge that says Treasure Island. I hauled that metal structure a few months ago.

This may be one of the only eastbound trips over the old bridge before the temporary S Curve (seen under construction at the 4:00 mark) was implemented. Thank you for sharing.

Note the indentations in the concrete wall of the tunnel on the right hand side of the lower deck at 3:49. Those are left over from the days when commuter trains would cross the bridge -- and were there for workers to seek refuge and survive should a train sneak up on them during maintenance.

The "beeps" were my cell phone ringing, my ringtone is a recording of a train bell. If I am stopped I can feel the bridge moving, but not when I am driving.

What were those three beeps around 3:40? Do you ever feel bridges and overpasses bouncing or flexing under your rig? The engine is loud. Thanks for the vid.

Westbound traffic is on the upper level, eastbound traffic is on the lower level.
