YO! Today I'm teaching you how to control a card as well as a pretty nifty color change! This move was created by Alan Rorrison and I'm happy to share it with you all today with his full permission.
This is a clever sleight using a one handed fan and a selection. You're going to learn how to control the card to the top or even palm it off to reveal it in your pocket! ENJOY!

Yeeeeesssssssss!! New video time!
Love gow chris‘ outfits are always coordinated to the cards he‘s performing with
Yes! Loving this tutorial Chris! Your sleights are by far some of the best I've seen and having you break it all down for us is just so awesome of you! Keep up the outstanding work and channel
That's amazing, and it looks so much fun to practice! I'll get in to it. Thanks so much Chris for all your efforts, i'm a total beginner in card magic, but thanks to your videos and recommendations i've been able to put an order on what i'm learning, hit the books, learn the fundamentals and use youtube as an inspiration to progress not as "THE WAY" to learn, i really appreciate that and thank you for it. Keep it up!!!
This is one of the most improving channels at the moment I think, your content looks really proffesional, is interesting, creative, original etc. And now you are uploading very frequently too! Thanks :D
I LOVE the idea of using this as a color change. With the change happening FU, a simple DL turnover leaves the selection at 2nd position. Prime for any kind of Amitious-like add-on! BEAUTIFUL!
who wants Chris on Penn and teller fool us
Madison was eaten alive on that show
I think he was on wizard wars
me
Kevin Goni The trick was simple but Daniel Madeson did to the bottom deal perfectly
@@dylbot2364 no I don't think so.. he knew they would find out the trick.... He just did it to show how good he was in sleight of hand
Your enthusiasm for sleight of hand is so inspiring, keep it up man!

Letting the card glide across the fan like that is actually very satisfying.
Thx for sharing this, I just learned something amazing today! What a freaking great move! So many applications. How could I miss this until today? Alan Rorrison, I see, I see. Wow! I am excited! Thank you so much! Amazing!

Awesome move Chris!!! It's always so fun to watch you.. PPPEACE!!!
Hey, Chris, I went over youtube searching for how to do one handed fan I found lots of tutorials but I couldn't get them right......thanks a lot. This video taught me how. It means very much to me thank you for everything.METTA!!!(peace!!!)
I started learning card magic about 18 months ago after seeing Chris Pratt do a trick on Graham Norton, that led me to Chris Ramsay, Pandrea, Spade and PigCake.
Learning at age 37, working fulltime, trying to still be in a band and recently becoming a father has meant dedicating time to learn card magic has been tricky, as time was hard to find.
It has forced me to use downtime in a smart way (practice while watching TV or movies) and trying to practice the right things has been challenging, but very fun.
I reckon I probably first saw this video about 10-12 months ago, at that time I started to try this trick and was like 'I do not have the skill to even try this yet'.
Now when I tried this I got the very basic mechanics in about 3-4 tries. So it is time to put in the work and master this as well as I can, it is a cool feeling to see the progression of skill and learning (albeit slowly). Thanks for the content Chris and thanks to Alan for letting you teach this to the masses, it really is an awesome control technique.
I love the way your intro performances are shot, they always look great!
Thanks Chris for sharing this move it has all types of applications , Peace and magic.

Love the Monarchs - i have the green and blue, they feel nice and the traditional faces makes them usable for magic without people mistakenly thinking they're gimmicked
Solid tutorial, CR you rock man!
Sweet move, thanks Chris!
Very very cool move, thanks for teaching us
Love the video, that's an awesome control. More please !!

Great job Chris!🙌🙌🤙
I like how you said it's fun to just sit and practice cause it totally is! And it's not even super hard to do, thankfully haha. Obviously to make it clean and slick, it takes practice lol but I think this is awesome and I can even add it to the ambitious card routine. Thanks for the tutorial! Love your content man

I actually watched one of your old Instagram videos today, where you did this move! It's was one of those "I have to learn this" moments, and the you teach it here! How great is that?
Your editing and music are awesome.
This is one of my favorite controls to do now so much fun to do
I love your videos since there is no other way for me to learn any tricks or if any decks are better than others I have been saving up for your chess deck thanks for making CZcams videos
This outfit looks really good on you 👌🏼
Keep up the good work
this days that you been on a uploading streak it's been heaven 👌
I love this slight of hand sooo! Cool
Nice new card control and colour chnage I learned today.
Just noticed when re-watching the tutorial, that the Monarchs compliment really well with the shirt and t-shirt of Chris Ramsay (or the outfit compliments the cards). Looks really nice :) . Good job card stylist Chris Ramsay :D
i love this move and the camera advise is great since my angles are abit different since i'm 6'5
This trick is so awsome!!! Thnx!!
Chris, love your channel, thank you so much for all the work you put into this.
One thing i noticed that may be helpful when thinking about doing this, is the white t-shirt. Here is why, really on affects the palm, while palming the card there were gaps in the fingers, i noticed that i could not see your white t-shirt through the gaps in your fingers. The green shirt is a good pick for the greenbacks, but while pulling the card out and your hand was in front of your white shirt, it was noticeable that something was out of place. Not trying to heckle just pointing this out for something to consider if thinking about doing the palm trick.
I love it Chris!
Thanks dude
Your tutorials are always spot on thanks so much! I always practice in front of my 5 year old and this had her mistified
Thanks for this Chris and Alan. I left a sub on Alan's channel. This is fantastic!!

Great ability to teach brother .
this is a awesome colour change been using this for a few years
I basically smash thumbs up right after the intro (around 30-60s in) on each of your videos! 😄
Great trick I got awsome reactions when I preformed it.
I always enjoy your videos/tutorial/teachings. This is real magic learning for serious ones that want to learn the true art of magic and be the best that one can be in this hocus-pocus world. Allan Rorrison is good. I'll check out his CZcams channel too.
I came up with something similar a few years ago where instead of the thumb I contacted the exposed part of the card in the fan with the first finger of the fanning hand and I closed the fan with the finger keeping a large break in the deck. Then with the friction of the pointer and the crotch of the thumb on the deck hand I pivoted the card into tenkai palm. Which allowed me to control it to the top or produce it somewhere. I have been using this for a while and I find it's working. If anyone would like to try it out and see if it works, I would like to hear how it worked for you. Have a great day!
