Something I went my whole 38 years of not knowing cause my family is so traditional and ignorant that they always knew heavy bleeding was normal. (Mother and grandmother), I am curious… Whenever I drink coffee(usually iced ), I experience a small amount of spotting when I go to urinate because coffee will make me go more. But, one thing I have also known, every time I do a urinalysis test, doctors always find a tiny bit of blood in the urine. Could this becoming from the fibroid as well? I have an MRI later this month to do so I can see what’s going on. Thanks for any advice and help.

      @Atlii  Před rokem +3

      4.5cm is definitely large enough to cause significant symptoms. Symptoms are determined more by location than size. A small centrally located fibroid can cause horrible bleeding, while a large fibroid located on the outer part of the uterus may not cause any symptoms.

    started having frequent urination around December of 2020 and constipation around August of 2021. (The frequent urination started first not constipation)
    I can't go number 2 without having to chug 1.5L of water everyday (I have to drink all of that in one go in order to have a bowel movement) but if I do that then I'll be pissing myself all day. And even if I don't drink 1.5L of water everyday I'll still be in the bathroom alot.
    What is the cause of this? Since I'm a woman I heard issues with the uterus or ovaries can cause bladder and bowel problems so I'll be getting checked (AGAIN) on December 10th since the first OBGYN dismissed me without giving me any physical examination.
    This has NEVER happened to me. Before August of 2021 I could go number 2 just fine no matter what I ate or how much water I drank. And before December of 2020 I would only pee for 2-3 times per day no matter how much I drank.

    Myomectomy surgery will most likely not solve all your problems because myomectomy only removes the largest fibroids and leaves other smaller ones in place with the blood supply intact. The majority of patients have to return for another myomectomy surgery or other procedure (maybe even a hysterectomy) within 5 yrs! UFE treats all the fibroids in the uterus by closing off the blood supply to all of them permanently, causing them to shrink and greatly decreasing symptoms without any surgery! Why do surgery when you can have an outpatient, non surgical UFE treatment that will tackle ALL your fibroids with a much shorter recovery time, plus the guarantee that you'll keep your uterus?
