    Bro the sos pads are a miracle for vinyl buffs out scratch’s and stains. As long as the vinyl isn’t gouged it’s a magic secret

    My new neighbors wanted to put a vinyl fence around their whole 5 acres of property. But after getting a quote for the fence that was $50,000.00 they changed their minds really quick! They went from a privacy fence all the way around their property to a 2 rail and post vinyl fence about 1/3 around their property and then ran a cattle fence around the rest of their property. I would love to put a privacy fence around my whole 5 acres too, but my pocket book not that big either. Even though I can do the labor myself and save that cost. The materials are not cheap either! Especially if your wanting least a 7 foot high fence to keep deer from jumping over the fence

    Wow, wow, Wow, I am absolutely amazed at your attention to detail, and your superior Craftsmanship!
    The fence looks stunning and I especially like the "mow curb" and I want one of these when I install my new fence!
    Do ya'll install these types of vinyl fences in the State of Washington? If yes, how do I get a hold of SWI fencing?
    Well done, Sir!

    Moving blankets…. Oh how crude!
    I recently took a trip to my daughter’s home in Florida to install a privacy fence. Before driving over to get the parts, I asked her for some blankets to protect them.
    She brought me a half dozen “Baby Blankies”. They were soft and smelled like talcum powder!
    As we loaded the posts, rails and panel parts into the bed of the truck… they slid on the blankets like Teflon. You could almost hear them giggle as they felt the velvety softness of the fleecy blankies. I thought I caught one of the posts smiling as it snuggled into its resting position!
    And the smell, O’ my goodness. The big brawny dock worker, who poured sweat all over them as he loaded the panels, was breathing hard just so he could inhale the baby powder fragrance as deep as possible!
    The results? When we arrived at the house, not only were the parts undamaged… they also had a high polish sheen that only tender loving care from the use of baby soft nursery linen, infused with baby butt powder fragrance, could provide.
    So Dan, you go ahead and use those coarse, dust smelling old movers blankets if you want…. But, I am gonna pamper my vinyl fence with the infant protection care they deserve!

    Good job. Not a easy job. I like the rail locks and gate hardware. I've only seen the metal sleeves as gate stiffeners. Then you have good solid screw points for the hinges. How do those round post stiffeners give you solid screw points for hinges. I run into lots of sagging vinyl gates. And leaning posts so there the hinge screws are impinging and no way will the gate shut.

    Nice video to watch, is it possible to put concrete on each column to make it more sturdy?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      We used to do that years ago and discovered that it actually doesn't help. In fact, it creates settling issues & makes any future repair of the fence 1,000x more difficult.

    Hi Dan, I’ve really enjoyed your videos. I am in Australia so first question is does your company post things like the lock latches you demonstrated etc to Australia. We are just beginning the fence project and have decided to go with the pvc as it looks like the style we like the most for our Queenslander style house. Next question, have you ever installed an electric sliding gate for the driveway. Many thanks, Gordon

      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      Hey thanks so much! The short answer is we *can* post internationally but it's going to add to the price considerably. Give the shop a call and you can talk it over with one of the guys. 307-578-8040
      And yes! We've done many automated sliding gates. Here's one we did recently (although this one is obviously a commercial gate): czcams.com/video/T5orVsOPNd8/video.html

    Really like that gate hardware. Any reason you couldn’t use the hinges and latch on a wood fence?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      It is intended for vinyl fence... but maybe you can. Might be better to go with hardware intended for wood fences. bit.ly/WGlatchset

    • @SWiFence

      Standard is 4". You can go 6" if you want thicker.

  • @encampmentify
    @encampmentify Před 2 lety

    Not sure if you covered this or not. I know you talked about control joints for movement and you did not think they would be needed. So does that mean your also not worried about frost heave on the sections between the posts since there is no rebar going from the post holes at frost depth to the next post hole across that shallow span? I also live in WYO just southern and I think our depth is around 48” frost depth.

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety +1

      Correct. It's all one "piece" of concrete, with the post holes going down below frost depth, effectively acting like pylons for the entire structure. It's common practice to have portions of your concrete going down below frost line--not every inch of it.

    Where do you find this type of vinyl fence at? My local lowes and Home Depot just have the panels that’s already glued together.

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      You've got to find a reputable supplier. We absolutely do NOT recommend big box store vinyl. It's an entirely different product and that's where vinyl's bad reputation comes from.
      We get our vinyl out of Nephi, UT from National Vinyl Products. I'd call around some of your local fence contractors and see what they carry and what they'll sell you. If you're lucky someone will carry NVP.

    what do you use to beef up the gate post?or does the screw just screw directly into the vinyl ?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Před 2 lety

      We do screw directly into the vinyl, however we also insert a post stiffener into the gate posts.

    4 things guaranteed to happen to concrete:
    1. It's going to get hard
    2. It's not going to get stolen
    3. It won't catch on fire
    4. It's going to crack
