I'm not a Harley guy but as soon as you said 'top hat spacer', I knew exactly what you meant. I think it's a universally recognised term. Very interesting to see they use tapered bearings for wheels!
Right on! Glad to know it's reaching more then just Harley people and getting to like minded people. Thanks for watching and commenting 👊
Thank you... I'm ready to change my 1989 FXRT from 9 spoke to 13 spoke this video is a big help... Cobar in Nebraska..
I appreciate you tunning into the video!
Vulcan engineering makes some pretty nice sealed bearing conversion kits for front and rear.FXR division sells them🤝
I forgot about that, that's not a bad idea. I appreciate the advice sir!
Dangerous! Pish Tosh! Danger is your middle name! Good video Jay. I like seeing the comments where people are saying these videos are helping them with their FXRT. That’s what it’s about!
Wild and dangerous in the garage lol! I'm glad you saw that too! The videos are helping and that's the best part of doing it. Seeing it helps one person makes the effort to keep going. 👊
my rear wheel had the same set up on my 89’ no issues 👌
this is very good news to hear!
I just did my bearings on my 87 fxrs and I bought the tinker seal bearing kit from fxr Division so you don’t have to deal with any end play of any geeace packing so much better
I need to look into that, that seems like the better way to go!
My 90 has no shims if that helps. It's like that from the factory
That does actually, I appreciate the Insite on that!
Put spacer in the lathe & take .004 off & I'll bet you will be at .006 !
I need to add a lathe next to the garage!
Most safe item on my '89 Fxrs is the Cruise-control-screw😂
the forbidden screw! lol
