We bought my grandparents home after they passed. It was kind of sad time, but no one else in the family wanted it. We’ve put in tons of work and have lived in a war zone for about 6 months. But we’re finally done. It’s beautiful. I feel somewhat how you feel. It feels good to put your own stamp on a home. Also, we have $100,000 in equity 😳❤️ thank you for helping me through this. Congrats man! You earned it. Sweat and tears :) I learned so much from your channel, and always revisit your playlists. Happy you guys did it. Take a break and come back refreshed! Btw. Would love to see more advanced building stuff. (Tighter homes w/ ventilation systems, high efficiency heating/ heat pumps / geothermal, etc. ) I know you’re old school, but codes will keep changing in that direction. I know with renovations there’s only so much one can do, but it could be worth looking at some low hanging fruit at least. Triple pane windows / taping seams/ vapor/ air barriers etc…. :) - anyway, awesome job - happy holidays!
I am sure we will have plenty of opportunity to deal with different style of renos in the years to come.
