Scaling and drawing seem easy when viewed from this end of the screen. Your skills are exemplary.

Thanks Steve, I guess taking mechanical drafting in 8th grade (part of several required shop classes) has served me well.

I’ve spent my entire career as a mechanical engineer endeavoring to make drawings as well-executed as yours. Bravo

That is very nice of you to say JB. Your comment means a lot to me coming from a Journeyman engineer. Thank you!

Send me some pictures if you get the chance. I would love to see your progress. My email is: dennis.thomas@finewoodsmfg.com. For anyone who emails me I will send my notes and drawings from my builds. I don't charge anything, I just want to promote the sport and get more people building.

Outstanding drawings Dennis, way way better than what I can come up with. What front axle are you planning on using, one of Renegades? Kart is going to look fantastic.

Thanks for you kind comments Tom. You are correct, we are using the Renegade front axle. We are also using pretty much everything he sells. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful drawings. But I'm confused about the track. On your top view it looks like the front track (centerline to centerline) is 38", and the rear 39". I thought the maximum width was supposed to be around 39". Or is that just a 'guideline'? Thanks.

What are your thoughts on doing 5" below the frame vs 3" or 4"? When the foam compresses down, you get the driver's butt about 3.5" below the frame? is 5" enough ground clearance for a dirt track

Some guys are running at about 3" off the ground. They bottom out on uneven surfaces. I recommend that the bottom of the tub be 4 to 4.5" off the ground and you won't have any clearance issues. Thanks

I'm interested in getting started with building my own CycleKart, but I'm not sure where I can find drawings for a chassis-- if there even are any. Any suggestions or leads?
