Club Kart Update Final Assembly
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 3 měsíci
Many months in the making, the Salmson Cyclekart now finished. Steve Vinson and I decided to build the kart for the guys in our Arizona Cyclekart Club to enjoy and drive along with new enthusiasts to try out. Both Steve and I have each built 5 Cyclekarts so we learned to keep things as simple as possible. This will save weight and improves reliability.

Work continues on the Arizona Cyclekart Club Kart. In the last update over on Steve's channel we had the kart out for its initial test drive. That went very well, and we should be ready to think about painting pretty soon. There are still a number of items that we need to finish up first.

A bit more sawdust sprinkled on that smooth concrete circle would have meant huge fun!
Hi Dennis. Its should be the “Cart father”. 😂 Best from Denmark
👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
46, great car count.
I honestly did not know you could get shocks for leaf springs!
Are those motorcycle wheels and tires?
Thank you, nice work👍
Would be nice scaled up with a two seater
Who are the workers ?
please tell me the dimensions of the frame
I would imagine "details" are are second nature to someone who make models of any type..... making things look realistic. Great looking Kart, I still like "Old 27" though.
Talk to somebody with a 3D printer they make plugs for the end of those rails
Where can i find the plans for this
Google
Great work! love seeing some of these finishing touches.
Brilliant.
Do you know where I can get those rims and tires I've been looking online and cannot find anything
That kart turned out beautiful, the new additions you did fit perfectly. You and Steve (and others) have set very high bar for the rest of us to try to meet in kart construction
How did you give 27 its’ number? Since you explained the 48…. Disclosure…I did not watch entire video, but watched the decal part. Nice addition to your team.
Beautiful work, Dennis!! Clearly way beyond the carriage wheels and a Clinton engine we started with. Keep 'er coming.
That looks AMAZING guys! Great work!
❤❤❤ I absolutely love your build. An attention to quality and detail. I do wish however, that you would Have hand paylet those letters period correct and numbers. I had to Shame my body with a World War. 2 Jeep and to doing the same. I hope we get to see test ride videos of this. You do great work😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great job!
Great looking cart
Great finish on the club cart Dennis! I have been thinking of a Motometer for the Miller for quite a while but thought it might be too big for the car. Seeing it on the car it adds to the caricature aspect of Cyclekarting.
You are a true artist!!!!! Fan-freaking-tastic work!!
I just got a house that I am moving in April and it has a shed. I am seriously considering building one.
"Wandering around Ace hardware..." I do that at Goodwill too. I love creative artwork, making something from nothing. Nice ingenuity, Dennis.
Howdty Dennis, I’ve researched the Pearless dif, bit confused on which is correct. Can you point me in the right direction? Also, I intend to make my own front spindle assemblies. One more thing I can’t find is length and diameter of the actual axel I.e. hardened bolt. I’m hopeful you can point me in the right direction. Tim in Maine, first timer, frame complete.
Can this be made street legal.I love the idea!Nice work.
Really cool. When you said Huntsville, I thought Alabama. Utah is so much closer to me. If I get around to building a cart I will need to come out for this.
No lettering? Really turned out nice.
Maaan real nice 😌😆 wish my dad made one for me
It’s a beauty! Y’all’s attention to details are amazing! Love watch the builds.😊😊😊
Looks fantastic!
Great
Dennis, I’m assuming that your brake rotor is connected to the differential case, what happens to braking if one tire loses traction ?
both wheels brake. Its a common misconception that only one wheel has power or braking. It works, not sure why.
Thanks for the reply Steve. Here’s what I’m thinking. If you lock the diff case with the brake and you spin one wheel the other wheel spins backward at the same rpm, provided both wheels are off the ground, so if one wheel loses some traction it wants to spin backwards but can’t because it would have to lose all traction to do that. Not a very scientific explanation, but I think that’s why it works.
Looks great Dennis! Enjoy it and hope to meet you guys one day!
Nice job guys!
This has been a very interesting journey to follow, guys. I have to make more parts myself, but it is educational anyway. I love how it turned out, it is a beautiful Kart!
Super Nice result... Two Thumbs 'Way up.
It is a fantastic example of great workmanship and attention to detail, well done to all involved
Thanks for sharing, this project was very educational. Looking forward to seeing it in Hunstville this year.
Looking good!
Really cool to see Kendall doing all of the work.
