I thought it would be Cyril/Pavlovich also. When they announced it, I was all "WRONG SERGEI!" 😂 But I think the matchmakers and Dana know...Pavlovich destroys Gane. And they don't want their French cash cow getting mailed and smashed in front of the home crowd. Plus, I think they'd want to save a fight the caliber of Gane v Pav for a PPV co-main or something. #1 contender fight but they can wait until after Jon & Stipe fight. In fact, if the fight ever happens...I think either guy or both will retire, regardless of win or lose. Then the belt is vacant. Then Gane/Pav gets made as a title fight for a vacant strap... 🤔🤷‍♂️
