Yes nitros can be a pain but once tuned and you know what you are doing it's the best. Cant beat the noise or smell of NITRO.
Except the noise and smell of a 2 stroke, like Kev's Baja.
exept the smell and sound of a 2 stroke 125cc go kart
Joels RC's canât beat the smell of a yz450f
@@ceofirstclass3050 if its a 2stroke then it smells practicaly the same
Joels RC's 450f is a 4 smoker
Iâm with Stemp!!! He always has a nitro!!! Good Man keep Nitro Alive!!!
âââââââââ
I will never be able to afford one of these rc cars but watching you explore it make me feel like I own one. Cheers mate
Yes you will mate
No doubt you will be able to afford one, save a hundred out of each check and youll afford one in the matter of a few weeks
Not with that attitude you wonât, itâs not inconceivable that you could change your life and be able to buy toys - be more positive and focused
I have a Traxxas nitro slash, itâs completely stock, and I havenât needed to do any upgrades. Itâs amazing as it is. It took me a few month to figure out hot to tune it, but once I figured it out it was super easy, and super fun to drive!
Kev: (Fideling around with the truck)
The Bodyshell: *Y E E E T!*
is it just me that sees people saying yeet
lol
Yeah he
My advice: be very cautious about any RTR (ready to run) as it also stands for "ready to repair"
Why don't you try and make a homemade rc car build off with stevin and pat it would be nice for the Channel
Funds limited to very little as well. Someone has an advantage
They have! They built a bunch of RC cars from LEGO models and a bunch of stuff like that. Check out his older videos
@@davidtruelove5022 i was talking about from popicle sticksand shit
When you said something about the rear axels in the mad force it brought the good/semi bad memories of driving my old kysho dst and crashing it and alwaya loosing or breaking the front axles man i love that car but unfortumatly parts for it are really hard to come by nowadays
Thanks Kevin for getting into some Nitroâs I canât wait for more ! I hope they make a comeback!!
The whole start procedure completely reminded me instantly why i sold all my nitro crap.
fun when they work, crap when they dont!
I converted my old tmaxx to electric
Never should have sold it
Hvacguru Arizona thatâs why I buy Traxxas people may not like ez start but there the best I never have problems starting my jato.
I'm glad ur doing a review!! Been wondering about this thing cant wait to watch and see!!
Yes yes yes love seeing brand new nitro on the show
Love the vids kevin, ran nitro for years, switched in 2009 to electro, biggest tip for nitro: grab a torch and heat the cilinderhead for 10sec, then wait 1min and it will start first pull.. cilinder and piston are conical, they dont have pistonrings, preheating wil make the perfect gap between piston and cilinder.
Its cylinder by the way
Pro tip, back the turbo or glow plug out half or full turn, apply igniter pull till it either runs or almost runs. Re tighten by hand with igniter then finish with tool. After this compression will be much kinder on starting and starting parts đ
Looks awesome...the springs look really strange, huge coil spacing!
I got some team associated rc cars from my dad. love your vids
I got some team associated cars as well. They are quite good đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»
@@everythingjacksrc7201 I'm shredding around with the rally
That is cool đ
I have one also but I need help with fixing it. Itâs my first actual rc.
@@6666Gman what parts
Kev ! I am from Germany. Glad to see u back in Nitro :D
Love watching the content kev!! Keep the good stuff coming. đ
Cool video kev it's cool to see you guys out having a good time with some nitros
Keep up the nitro content lovin it man! Braappp on!
Nitros great, just takes a little time to learn the setting of carbs, a little patients and time definitely helps
Big, Crazy, Fast = AWESOME Kevin Talbot content!
Great đđ» video kev I was waiting for a run away but you did not have one lol đ hahah.
I bought a traxxas tmaxx 1.5 off of eBay, got it to run after finding out how to tune the engine, I donât know what I prefer, electric rc cars are a lot easier to maintain and use, nitros can be a bit of a hassle but are more fun, gotta love the smell of nitro fuel and the noise.
Another great vid kev. Cant wait to see some runaways in the future.đ
Pull it till it start remind me the old day. Pain and sour finger at the end of the day.
Hey kev, them engines can be a nightmare, bit half tank lean issue that plagued the savage, not as bad though. Worth noting that the needle you expect to be the LSN is in fact a mid speed needle. The lsn is actually on the side the servo attaches too.
That's a cool new truck, they are loud and awesome.
I love Nitro I just want to see you enjoy it and not end up hating it again! Once you actually learn it all itâs extremely simple and all nitros will be the same to you! It will be like electric is now for you!!! Super simple! One day it will just click with carb tuning a light bulb will go off and you will really enjoy it!!! It takes research, respect, and practice like everything else!! I love that youâre coming back to it please keep it that way an learn how to make it easier on yourself so I can watch your badass videos!!! Thanks!!!! đđ»
The look of this car is Really a look of the savage just the gearbox way of the engine is mounted
Love the merch Kevin, you need a tumbly wumbly shirt too!
i adore my T-Maxx 3.3!
it has the original Blue Cap Powerstrokes with the Bypass shocks and they have been abused for a good 15 years and still strong as ever!
hoping i can get too this meet you are planning!
It's a beautiful truck, the design obviously reminds me of the legendary HPI Savage series which is probably my all time favourite.
My brother has the same truck but brushless, want to get some silcone plugs to lock the rear end for him, ready for some wheelies...
It reminds me of the Tamiya Terra crusher
Kevin I canât wait to see all the new rc cars you got
I suggest you do a dirt cheap banggood brushless review
the runaway rc car from stenf looks like the WLtoys a979b
I have a few hobao vehicles. None of the nitros. Glad you made this so I can see one in action
You need 1 tune to start n warm it up then the racing tune... Nice work buddy!
haven't ran nitro since 2005, will never go back. I had a Duratrax Raze 1/8 Scale NITRO Buggy, Hpi firestorm, Team associated Rc10gt and a Nitro Warhead EVO Monster Truck 27. Brushless came out and the nitro got sold, converted the firestorm to brushless though.
So you really gotta know what you are doing when you get into these seems like. Side note: My Dad used to race dual engine go-karts in the 70s at Riverside and Ontario raceways and they had big stainless side tanks and ran Nitro, 145 mph, loved the smell. I was just a little guy, 5 yrs. old? Anyway, âźïž đ Thx for sharing Kev! Enjoy!
I'm keep my T-Maxx thank you!đ
still got a 3.3 Tmaxx, had it for a decade, kev said they dont go backwards, tmaxx can :D
i bought mine 6 years ago and it's still working
Loving this one thanks for sharing very important information giving thanks blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work đđđđŻđČđŻđČđŻđČđȘđȘđȘ
My GOD turn the low speed screw out to the left at least a 1/4 turn!!!
Low speed wasn't what he touched it was idle screw
Is that why the car kept during off idle? I got an hpi savage that does that when cold
Yup, you can hear it running lean at idle and during part throttle. If idle is out of control, try richening the low speed needle.
Nitro trucks are dinosaurs, and I just purchased one! Love that sound, smell, and finicky nature of these beasts!
Pinch test will really help you dial in the low speed needle! Remember must be warm, itâs best to have a temp gun, and the engine should die within 2-3 seconds of pinching the fuel line.
I have one of thease it's awsome I converted my one to electric 6s I'm playing on getting their electric v2 version the pull start is shit iv gone through 3 of them I bought a roto start kit for the hyper 7 and modified the drive shaft and love it much more fun starting it
At the track right now, my bud is still trying to start his rc, and this is my 17 turn. I'll be on my second battery by the time he turns on an tunes his rc for this cold morning. Lol
Ayyyyy heâs back with the nitros
Same problem I have with my nitro, traxxas 4tec, bought it like almost 20 years ago. Has a pro .15 engine. It goes 50 mph max, but it's not shifting. What I notice is that it does go the top speed but it starts out kinda slow, like if it is stuck in 2nd gear. Been messing around with it but still no luck. Will keep trying.
Iâll help ya tune it , let me know the next time your down that retail park and Iâll bring the LST2 down.
Considering buying a Arrma Infraction when theyâre released.
I also started w nitros, now I mostly fly flow rc planes. I like nitro on airplanes cause its easy, a prop and thats it. On rc nitro cars, got the clutchbell, drivetraim, it gets complicated quick.
Kev: Get's a Cool RC.
Also Kev: We got a new Lypo if that's how you spell it XD
Kinda built like the savage with the twin plates. Pain in the arse to work on it would imagine.
ill let you know!
it's whatever makes you smile ... that's the right rc for you!
yes! All of them if i had my way lol
@@KevinTalbotTV lol me too :)
Great vid. I'm toying with the idea of getting into RC and can't decide nitro or battery. Also want to build from scratch so I can learn about RC. New sub ;)
Dang kev. You have some balls for touching that spider.
Tuning is really pretty simple. You need to study up an watch some videos on it or something.
This should help you. Fully tighten the fuel needle.
After that try 2 and half turns to open position and if its not running as good keep opening until its at flash. Never mess with the low speed and idle.
Nice to see some nitros!
got to tune it..good show
As a rule of thumb, if it ain't smoking it's too lean n that high needle needs to b opened up a bit. When you give it throttle and it does that choking/bogging thing like it did at 11:19 and at 12:09 it means that low speed needle needs to be backed out a bit, but only tune the low speed needle once the high speed needle has been set n has a nice trail of smoke, without that smoke you will just fry the engine
Love my Nitro and Gas vehicles. Yes they can be a pain in the ass. But there is something about the sound and smell from the exhaust.
All my toys are nitro, itâs all I run. My HPI Savage is my go to basher! If you ever wanna sell yours let me know! Iâll gladly take it off yer hands
Any plans to get a Tekno MT410?
Great video! Love a good nitro vid!
That is nice mate its very sporty looking for a truck đ„đ
Be alright if it worked!
âIt was probably my faultâŠâ YES, Iâm going to take that as a disclaimer for every video and get it out the way because you are darn entertaining to watch.
YOU ROCK KEV, YOUâRE A BADASS!!! I Love me some Nitro!!! I canât wait to see the other Nitro vehicles and all the boats plus other stuff you purchased!!! Iâm here until the end!!! No matter what Kev makes videos about I will stay watching!!! I wish I could beat up and really push/test my RCâa to the limit like he does!!! I just canât afford to be that crazy with my toys!!! I really enjoy watching him break stuff though!!! đ đ đš âœïžđ§š đ 𧰠đ đš
Stemps radio for the 1:16th scale nitro stadium truck seems like it's on it's way out, it should not do that if he turns the radio around or shake it lightly that's for sure...
Also should be a way so you can set the direction the servo is supposed too pull on the failsafe i believe.
otherwise he might be able too just turn the servo around in the car & reverse the channel on the radio then the fail safe should pull the brake instead.
Been bashing with electric for about 4 years. Got my first budget nitro 4 months ago. Done my home work and have had so much fun with it Maybe when Iâm ready for another NT this could be the next or maybe a nice kyosho rtr
Hobao sounded bad at idle richen ur lsn. On the other hand very nice car I have the hyper ss cage nitro and it's been amazing since I got it, no issues out of the box, easy to strip down and wrench on, easy to start and tune and it runs like a champ, mine came with savox servos out of the box. Hobao nitros are great I love them, best out there for a beginner car I reckonđđ»
very nice work M8 keep it up
Kev, the hobao is still running too rich, adjusting HSN will increase acceleration and top speed, but you may need to adjust gear shift point in the gear box
Stempy, on the jackhammer, your idle speed is too high, and your LSN needs adjusting,8th of a turn one way or the other, the current bad setting on your LSN could be the reason you have to have it idle so high
I like how his finger was in frame for the first bit of the video
Oh man about time you got a new HoBao!! I have 4 of them man
I swapped my pull start for a drill start đđȘ
It canât of just been me waiting the whole time for that crazy scruffy guy to turn up to tell you guys off đ
i got hay hyper mt nitro too. if you let it idle too long the the carb gets loaded up and it stalls if you try and yeet it like at 12:45 . Gotta ease into it till it clears out, then you can beast it.
Nitro r/c's are cool, but for me personally, too much maintenance... or wrenching, as you guys say! Thanks for sharing Kev, love your channel.
Pretty nice Nitro Truck. Let's see how facts you will break it lol! đđđđđđ
I have the electric version and will probably get the MT II soon, local to you in St Alban's.
It will do back flips on the ground if tune right
That's a sweet-looking new truck Kev about once you get it all tuned in it really halls but I've had experience with those 32 engines. Hobao / ofna it was here in the states . They run great and make loads of power . that truck sure looks like it's built a lot like the Savage to me.
Any tips for ofna engines?, I have a 28 ofna/picco engine in my 9.5 violator
Got t-max 3.3 massive pain but nitro is so fun and awesome when it runs well
Nitro is awesome when they work properly but electric now days are pretty dope too tho and so much easier click and go
HS 3.5 out from closed LS 2.5 out from closed, worth a try dude.. tell stemp to leave the glow ignitor on for a few seconds after start as the nitro will just cool the plug to fast and cause it to stall, you want thay plug to warm up nice, thats why they cut out at first when you apply throttle, Im probably telling you how to suck eggs lol..
All of those issues are EXACTLY why I left nitro. I went back once with the awesome Thunder Tiger S59 Sledgehammer, but within 2 weeks, I missed brushless and sold it
great video awesome stuff
Ahaha down in Australia a spider of that size is tiny! Loved this kev nitros are looking good
20 years in this hobby, I will never go back to nitro.
Excellent Dude.
Nice video kev keep up the good work
hey kev awesome vid as always
Hi kev I love your vids I watch it everyday
Great vid man keep up with the nitro stuff
nitro is really cool, it may be funner then electric but it looks like alot of work. however, workin on rc's is half the fun I guess, good vid kevs
Looks sweet!!
I warm my engines with a hair dry b4 starting and they start so much easier
Kev: it looks epic
Me: it looks like a f150
I've recently bought a hpi rs4 super nitro rolling chassis off eBay, I've bought a few bits for it so far but not 100% clued up on nitro rc's, hopefully I'll learn abit from your video's đđ»
It's all in the tuning, the rest falls into place.
kevin there's a spider where I live that can get to 6in long and runs 10mph it's called a sun spider
