Went down to the Paducah area earlier this month to record this nice Thunderbolt, located in a neighboring town called Reidland. This one is just off US 62, behind the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in a quiet neighborhood.
Despite the rough condition of this siren, I have to say, it sounded pretty healthy but honestly I didn’t have much faith this would even work...or what to expect really. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it was single tone, and is probably one of the county's more healthier sirens. It's probably one of my favorite recordings I've done recently. I just wished I cleaned my camera sensor beforehand...
MacCracken County tests the first Saturday of the month at 1PM, during fair weather.

Damn I think the best replacement for a Thunderbolt 1000 is an Equinox. A 2001-130 is good for a 1000T. An equinox is literally much better than a 130

That attack though, just sounds so EPIC! Definitely sounds like something you would hear if a nuclear system was failing or an air raid was happening. Please keep doing more drone shots like this, they just add to the effects.

Because this isn't a 1000T. The T models are dual-toned. This is a Thunderbolt 1000, single tone, 5 port.
