    A true audio legend.
Edgar Villchur knew more about the reproduction of sound 60 years ago than 99.99% of audiophiles today.

Mr. Villchur and AR did indeed change the world of hi-fi. And they (along with Dynaco) brought it within the realm of the average man with equipment that was both very high quality and very reasonably priced. How often do you see that?
Especially liked his crack about those obsessed with cables, and his final comment about live music. I've known guys with almost $100K invested in audio equipment. For a fraction of that, they could have heard live performances by the world's best musicians. But that would probably have left them disappointed.
Edgar Vilchur was not only a pioneer but a refreshingly sane voice in a field now dominated by too many frauds, charlatans and hucksters. (Better sounding AC plugs indeed!) He favorably impresses me as the sort of businessman who genuinely loved not only his product but his customers as well. Truly a rare breed.

Changed the world of hi fi. today there is way too much BS, being sold as science...like better sounding AC plugs! Criminal. This guy and AR made things based in reality, and science...changed the world of speakers.

Cool, I just bought a 25ft roll of 18 gage full copper zip cord for $5.
