Im a regular visitor to the Chemnitz Roundhouses, a museum for steam, and diesel locos. Living not to far away, the steam locos they have there are amazing. Nice to see this Fleischmann loco.

Fleischmann products are wonderful, I've got a luggage van/brake with rear/internal lights marked "made in the US Occupation Zone", so the mould for the metal chassis dates back to before 1949!

Beautiful locomotive. I have a couple of Fleisechmann locomotives. They have fantastic detail, and they always run very well. They are not cheap at all (second hand), but they are great models. Best regards from Australia 🇦🇺

Fabulous, I wished there were Marklin and Fleischmann dealers in the UK.

Lima also fitted its ringfield motor in the locomotive in continental tender locomotives: the SNCF 141R and the DB BR39.

Hey a 65 018 that has not been renumbered yet, especially as its from the Benelux region (this is an actual preserved locomotive in the Netherlands).
Judging by the manual its a fairly new one, as it has the typical close couplers fitted on the picture.
The cause of the noise is both the brushes and the gears. Most tank engines will stay a bit more noisy compared to the tender drive ones as the gearbox vibrations will rattle the valvegear

A lovely loco Barrie and towards the end of Fleischman before they were brought out by the modeleisenbahn company they fitted can motors to the BR03 BR 41 BR 95 and BR 39 and there might be a couple of others as well and on the electric slide the BR 101 and BR 145 also had can motors from New i also find roco locomotive s run more quietly than Fleischman
