- After a hard climb up, a wild camp on the magnificent Fairbrook Naze on the northern edge of Kinder Scout.
A look at my Garmin In Reach 2 Salellite Communicator which I recently purchased, and a relaxing time in the tent with a new Aberlour whisky.
It's been a while but the wait was well worth it. Patrick you are such an inspiration and it's a real privilege to be taken on the wild camps with you. Perfect way to relax before dinner. Thanks for all your efforts with the hill climbs and the filming in tricky conditions.

Patrick, my sincere condolences to your wife & yourself & kudos to you for being there for her. I lost my Mum late last year, & as I live alone, I know it makes a difference having someone there for you. It's great to see you back out again, but do try & ease into it, there's no rush & spring will soon be here. We don't want to see you taking a tumble & setting yourself back for 3 months if you break something.

The whisky sounded lovely too, amazing how quickly it disappears once the cork is out. I think it evaporates :)

Tip from Italy, Patrick. Save one of your Sambucas and when you make yourself an espresso coffee put some Sambuca in it. 'Caffè corretto al Sambuca' is an Italian favourite. Cheers.

Fairbrook Naze was the first hike I ever did in the Peak District, way too many years ago to mention. Watching this has made my decision for my next wild camp.

Nice one Patrick, when it comes to tight spots, always good to know how to improvise when it comes to pegging down. Great video as usual.
Yes looked a easy site, but once tent was out you could see pegging was not so straightforward, and was getting a bit windy.
The problem up there is the top few inches are very loose heather and roots, then you find more solid ground below, so longer pegs are the best option, or it's a inch of earth, then rock !......not straightforward....... thanks Pat
