    Try gapping down the spark plug to 0.020" that's what we typically run on N54s and if you are using E85 then try 0.018". Most likely breaking up because of spark plug blow out

      Thanks, It's gapped to .018. It was just running really rich when it was breaking up. Just need to dial in the fueling after switching over from the MAF to VE.

    You keep loosing fuel pressure. Starts at 60psi and drops into the 40s that's completely wrong your running out of fuel pump. Your fuel pressure should go up with boost to compensate. I'm thinking leaving the car sitting with e85 has plugged up the fuel system.

    • @cmattdabrat
      @cmattdabrat  Před 9 měsíci +4

      You're right about that. I'm on it. Long story short, the DW300 in there is good to 600hp on E85. I have a Radial 1:1 pressure regulator at the rail. Just the stock FPCM needing adjusting. It has 3 different modes. Low pressure, normal and high. Need to adjust the tables it so it'll tell the pump to send more pressure. Easier said than done, but we'll get there.

    • @johnsnow1355
      @johnsnow1355 Před 9 měsíci

      @@cmattdabrat possibly the e85 turned into jelly and is plugging up the pump. I have seen e85 go stale in just a month of sitting. Especially in hot Texas sun if any fuel was sitting there for weeks it could of gone rotten and gelled up on the pick up. At least u were running pig rich when it was dropping fuel pressure instead of lean and burning the pistons or valves.

  • @zakura70jr
    @zakura70jr Před 9 měsíci

    Your having alot of knock retard so you gotta look into that
    Keep your lambda keep it between .77 - .75 or 11.0-11.4 in afr when in boost
    Check your fuel pressure specially if you have an external regular should rise as boost comes on... if your running e85 never let it sit in the tank too long it goes bad and starts absorbing water
    And spark plug gap should be smaller the more power your running. See what gap you have now and try closing that gap so it doesnt stutter in the high end and stuttering can also be knock retard which reduces timing and in some cases will richen the afr in some cars which also causes stuttering

    • @cmattdabrat
      @cmattdabrat  Před 9 měsíci

      Thanks for looking out. It's false knock. Timing is pretty low until I can see what it likes on a dyno.
      Targeting .75 - 8 depending on the amount of boost. Just need to get the fuel dialed in on the VE tables. We'll get there. Just need to sort out how to trick the ECU into staying at a high fuel pressure while under boost. I have a radium 1:1 regulator.
      Currently gapped to .18. Just had too muh fuel. On the fuel, it's fine. I've had e85 sit up in the tank for almost a year when I swapped in the DW300. I was surprised at how spotless the tank was and how well they seal. When installing the new solenoids, I had to pull the fuel line at the rail to get to one of them. The fuel looked great and I've already burned through a 2 tanks working on the tune.
      We're getting there. It's taken a lot of street driving and flashing just even to dial in the MAF. Now that's out, MAF is the same thing but A LOT more dialing in and reflashing. I'm at the 350 mark as far as how many times the car has been reflashed and tuned. Would be nice to just adjust things on the fly, but just how it goes reflashing the stock ECU, and not to meantion it has it's own set of calculations where, as soon as I make my mods, it's sway it one way or another. Kind of a pain in the neck.

    • @zakura70jr
      @zakura70jr Před 9 měsíci

      @cmattdabrat thats good id keep timing low untill you figure out boost and fuel and then if you want to add timing ad 1 timing at a time... normally timing increases as rpms increase as well
