    Same issue have with my Gt3582 turbo used on R33 Rb25DET. The power is up top, but I like it cause doesn't take away drivability at all and when it comes on you know its on!. Wish it came V band so I had to convert 4 bolt to V band. My car has about 370 at 13-14psi (made 420+ but dailed back down cause stock internals) and haltech computer and its been that way for more than 5K miles so I am happy. Would buy again but if I had to I'd go Gt30 since I intended for a street car but this turbo seems more for drag racing

    The way that turbo's compressor housing is machined makes it loud comparable to the HKS T51R. I'm glad they are ball bearing now. Maybe I'll try one. Otherwise, you will see a huge improvement with the power curve starting lower especially with a .63 turbine housing if that's what you have there. If so, you might notice it going flat or giving up in the upper RPM range but a larger wastegate would help as it will make up for the inefficiency of the housing. Plus the smaller housings are more street friendly than an .82~ or 1.01~ size as I'm sure you're not driving up at 7-8k all the time. Or I could be wrong lol.

      @cmattdabrat  Před 9 měsíci

      It'll be interesting to hear and feel what the difference is. Site says Turbine A/R: 0.82 and Compressor A/R: 0.63. We'll see where it runs out of stem, but would be nice for it to come in sooner. LOL, definitely not. Most driving is around 2500-3K with occasional spirited driving. I'll have more on it soon.

    I'm thinking this will do the trick for getting it to light up a bit faster. Wastegates wide shut, I'm thinking it'll spool around 3k rpm @15psi. Hard to say exactly since there's a lot of factors that play into it like the VVT, but that's where I'm putting my bet. I love everything you do with your engine, and I hope that my financials will allow me to do what you've done to my sonic one day!

    I run this turbo sept the pulsar garret replica one and i have beat the shizzle outta it at a steady 31psi and have spiked to 40 .... but tbh i think imma drop to a g25-660 for a better responce cuz the 3071r gen 2 dbb is not full boost till 4500 ... but yeah bro always good to see ya uploading ... much love and respect bro imma watch this vid now lol . Ps im low compression aswell so that makes a differance on spool and boost levels to hp ratings so your responce should be better if u are more than 8.5-1 comp ratio 😅

      @cmattdabrat  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the feedback. That's good to know. I'm sitting around 10:1 and 4500 would still be an improvement over 5k. Have you thought about an anti-lag to get it to spool? Thanks!

      @mastercricket7626 Před 9 měsíci

      @@cmattdabrat I have but atm I'm on a super cheap standalone and a 30 year old harness so I'm honestly debating if I should wire in a antilag switch (I actually already have one in just have not disconnected the neutral safety switch yet to bypass it ) or just get a whole new setup when I can afford to ... but atm it's a rat rod build I have pieced together anyways and from ground up built and tuned so I'm familiar with it just not sure what way to go next ya know lol ... I did have a sticky throttle plate at one point tho and when it stayed in boost throu shifts onfg I almost shit myself lol was not expecting it to be like it was ... but I deff think it would help .. maybe nos to idk , I deff wanna do water meth for iat's tho and I hear it helps a lil if u spray it pre turbo with spooling aswell and efficiency but I have not got to test any that yet lol .. I'm a broke fool lol na but I am a disabled stay home dad of 2 kids so I kinda limited so I can suggest and help ppl quicker than I'm able to experiment with it sadly myself atm but soon hopefully that all gonna change but yeah I think you should deff have a better spooland the way the boost hits from journal to dbb is a light switch to if ya ain't already experienced it yet bro ... super happy to see ya back posting tho brotha , hope all is going well with the fam an life my brotha ... much love and respect and keep killing it bro love seeing the eco tech stuff not much out on it I think we talked of zzp I think it is last time we talked and that all I know but I think it's a cool platform a d I need to get something that has back seats anyways so I been thinking this or a calliber to build next as a family car /build... but I'm rambling my bad bro but good to see your linked up with the zzp guys cuz they make some rad ecotech stuff ... anyways sorry to babble on brotha and hope ya see this lol much love and respect to ya brotha mattman peace and keep it radical stay safe and build on brotha .. l8z

    That turbo will be very useful for diesel tuners. Unfortunately MPR doesn't do many turbos able to deliver the high pressure numbers required by diesels.

    Im looking into big turboing my 2014 cruze, but its the 1.4l which has the turbo in it already. Since it already has a turbo stock, would it be a lot easier to install a bigger turbo? *Im already looking into building a custom exhaust manifold, upgrading my cam, injectors, coils/ plugs, valve springs. etc* I guess I'm trying to ask if you'll think for the install of the turbo, itll be sort of a plug and play with the existing turbo hardware? (lines and tubes and such).

    • @cmattdabrat
      @cmattdabrat  Před 8 měsíci

      It depends on which turbo you upgrade to. You'll have to do a little digging because not all turbo feeds, drains, and coolant passages are the same. Some require different flanges, fittings, etc.
