Special thanks to MoonlightDragon and FrostFireTheCat for the idea to do a video on Bioshock! - Hry
I neither liked or disliked because a man chooses, a slave obeys.

Would you kindly do Bioshock 2?
Hellnogizmo I c what u did there :)
+Hellnogizmo I to love BioShock 2, I think Infinite ripped off 2.
+Áron Gigor eye sea wat u did hear to! Two bad eye _sear e us lee_ doubt that was on porpoise
Would you kindly get a profile picture and a life
They should have made a Bioshock that was set before everything went to shit in Rapture. Something along the lines of someone finding out what Ryan's plasmids can do to you and his attempt to cover it up. Something like this would be awesome; giving the players a better understanding and experience to what a regular life could have been like.
They did it's the burial at sea DLC in infinite
No, I mean like a whole game in like the perspective of Ryan or something like that.
+SneaksFrWeeks There isa book about the building and fall of Rapture. It's called "Rapture" and is by John Shirley.
Its a good view on how things went down before everything went to shit, and /how/ everything went to shit. However, even though its official merchandise it isnt completely canon (since Ken Levine never read it and didnt really supervise it at all)
+lilneopuppy I'm actually reading this now in preparation for another playrough of The series.
They did try and do that but was scrapped
D-did I just see someone shooting Anti-Personal rounds at a Bouncer?!
Ikr!
y-you idiot! ;-; What a waste.
Kami Tem
Shotgun with explosive rounds!
binx isma anti personnel rounds is for unarmored targets. Basically hollow point bullets. You CAN kill one that way but its a waste and those bullets could have killed at least 10 splicers
binx isma Not really a right or wrong way to play. I had a stealth based style that got the tonics for stealth walking and Camo, and try to kill every splicer with a clean shot to the head so i dont ever waste ammo. And if i get in a fire fight, just use telekinesis to use a item as a shield and retreat and set up a trap for the enemies xD
So, 451 is the A113 of gaming?
Lol yea I guess so
Or thx 1138(interestingly,did you know Pixar was founded by George Lucas to be a special effect department for his films
4SidedStar I was just about to drop this :D
4SidedStar Or the Konami code in a way
+4SidedStar almost liked your comment until i saw your like amount :D
I actually thought I knew everything about my favorite game... Apparently not.
Now would you kindly like?
How to look smart while cracking a safe in a game?
Try variations of 451 and hope for the best.
Kaskerz I dont get it?
^ me neither
When I was playing the game for the first time, I thought one of the endings would involve looking at a reflection of yourself only to find out that you've been spliced... I was wrong >_> nukes and shit
Nukes? You a bad man.....you harvested them all didn'y you m8 hahhhaaaa !
I do wish that the splicing changed your character. You get a TON of ADAM in the game over a relatively short stretch of time. I find it hard to believe that you could be fine and the Splicers used enough MORE ADAM than you to do that to them.
Instead I love the fact that I can use all the cool plasmids and still be the good guy. :D
Sasy Ryan I think it would have made for a good Nightmare Difficulty setting. It'd give another level of challenge and reward players who play on the highest difficulty with more dynamic consequences for your choices.
Lennard Church Nightmare Difficulty? I didn't even play on Survivor Difficulty! XD
Maybe if they do a remastered version they can take this into consideration (but I doubt they will). However, I hope so, because I really love Bioshock.
Sasy Ryan Same here.
Jordan McIntyre Yeah, if adequately upgraded the wrench becomes overpowered. I didn't know the first 6 times I played the game. Now that you make me think of it, the wrench makes the survivor difficulty almost pointless.
Maybe he saw pac man through a tear...
+Nick Fulton I thought tears were only in Infinite.
+Benjamin well there were tears in burial of sea pt 1. Burial of sea pt 2also had the leutece device(I think that's how you spell it). There must've been a tear to rapture because how would Booker, Elizabeth, and songbird get there at the end of the game.
+Benjamin Yeah like he said ↑ but in simple words, in burial at the sea you find out some [important] people knew about tears
0451 was the key code to get into looking glass studios. Warren Spector acknowledges the fact that everyone seems to think its from the Bradbury book in his Lets Play of Deus Ex, but really it's just a coincidence.
Also who the Hell shoots a Bouncer with Anti-personal rounds?
Someone who is REALLY desperate for bullets. AP bullets are only useful after you have researched Big Daddies a few times with the camera. You have to research all 4 types. Otherwise AP bullets have the same effect as normal bullets.
Also, Slugger Splicers can be hit with a shock then whacked with a wrench early game, right?
But by Hephaestus [I think] they can do shock damage AND are immune to shock. Only 'Static Dischrge' and 'Electric flesh' has an effect upon them but it won't stun them, just do them damage. ONLY if you have fully researched them.
Researching Little Sisters fully boosts your Health and Eve bars a LOT.
Going into video: Pfft! I guarantee I'll know all these! Prepare to be my 1st disliked video ever!
After Number 10: ....shit * likes video*
Puffer Fish xD
I thought that too, I knew about half though.
Puffer Fish I don't know anything but I am trying to lear because my friend loves it and he explained it but i didn't listen oops
the last one messed me up
What gives you the creaps like the code is a link to something like illuminati lol
Love this game so much. I'm one of the few who holds it in higher regard than Bioshock Infinite.
One of my favorite games of all time.
The Metal One YES infinite was good but it just aint the same
***** If you haven't played the dlc Burial at Sea then it doesn't make sense on why it even relates to the firs game.
The Metal One The original Bioshock was superior to Infinite in every way.
While I love infinite, especially how engaged you get with the characters, I'm pretty sure most people agree that the this bioshock is the best of the 3. For many reasons:
the environment wasn't as linear (more open), better plasmids (where did telekinesis go?), you could see the upgrades done to ur weapons, the architecture was more varied, better hidden items/ puzzles/passages, etc. Overall, it was a lot more intricate and packed whereas infinite just felt very linear
The Metal One i like it way better...
It's REALLY a shame that #3 got cut. Because while I was playing, I noticed the plot hole that Jack was immune to the effects of splicing.
+Annie Trinity hmm tell me more? So he got all the pros without the cons
+Annie Trinity it's not a plot hole. in the book, the addictive/cancer factor could be removed but Fontaine didn't allow it so addicted splicers would keep on buying them. The plasmids deployed after for Jack to find were modified without the addictive/cancerous side effects
bokuno pico The book?
the Bioshock novel, yes. it's a thing
The Splicers are that deformed simply do to them getting absolutely addicted to ADAM. I mean, Splicers consume a lot more than Jack did.
However, there is evidence to suggest he did become deformed, as one of the things a Little Sister can say when she sees you is "Their faces are melted!" Hpwever, this also happens when Splicers get too close, so it could just be a stock phrase.
This 451 thing blew my mind. Wow.
Katja K Yep. I blame the Illuminati.
Haha that is very possible :D
Heres an idea: half life 451
Just found your channel, and I've got to say, extremely well done on these "things you didn't know" videos. All too often these are the same facts over and over, so when I heard your "I'm willing to bet...." intro, I did a mental eye-roll. Four videos later, you've won a like every time.
Cheers, you've got the obscure factoids and the classic game knowledge, keep on keeping on, buds.
Somtaw420 i.imgur.com/8Z5vZmW.png Thanks so much, that means a lot. I'm glad I could entertain and teach you something. :D Also, new 10TYDK within the next two days.
Agreed you got me straight away, but the 451 theory is very strange/interesting, well done
+Somtaw420 It's way WAY better than something like 101 facts from Channel Frederator. Some of those facts are literally just *air dates* of certain shows. Like, WHO THE HELL CARES.
+Somtaw420 Exactly thinking the same thing.
+Somtaw420 Exactly.
451 was the door code to get into looking glass studios.
I find it funny how I was introduced to Bioshock. I read the prequel book (Yes, they made one, and damn, was it good), so I knew the origins of Atlas/Fontaine/Gorland and plasmids and Little Sisters and Big Daddies and mostly every other staple in the series.
Gahhh I still need to read the book. I found it a very long time ago at a used book store in perfect condition, so that was pretty cool.
Is it good?
Niño Kristian Ng woahhhh we both have Shinku icons. (Also I haven't read it yet)
Niño Kristian Ng The book is great about halfway through the first part, but the beginning is rather slow.
+Secret Steve what's it called?
Would you kindly do this with Bioshock Infinite, too?
Adrian Brozek Clever phrasing, but prob not anytime soon. But never say never, right?
Syyborg Gaming he "said.... would you kindly...."
Syyborg Gaming YOU NEED TO ANSWER HIS SAYINGS because....A SLAVE OBEYS!
fun time gamers Maybe Tenenbaum cured him?
***** In that case...
CODE: Yellow
I like the idea of a futuristic/cyberpunk 1950's styled city. I don't care in what game, I'd just like that sort of setting.
Awful vending machines? What are you talking about? I love those "Circus Of Values" vending machines.
Gamefan113 "Come back when you get some money, buddy!"
+Gamefan113 They annoyed me a little when I played through, but I really missed that voice in the second game lol
Yeah, I miss them too.
+Gamefan113 they never bothered me either lol
Welcome to the Circus of Value! EhHehehehehehe!
I love that he makes a bet with the viewers, I wouldn't have given it my thumbs up otherwise. Good technique.
I used to think that the ghosts from Bioshock 1 & 2 are Tears.
it would make sense
Even more than that, I think the ghosts in System Shock 2 are Tears as well.
No. What happens in BS1 and 2 is because Adam is taken from dead bodies by Little Sisters, then passed on to others in the form of Plasmids, the memories of the dead people the Lil Sisters drank Adam from is passed on to the main character so he's seeing memories of dead splicers as the Adam was once part of them. That's why Lil Sisters call dead people 'Angels'... because the Lil Sisters probably SEE a lot more than normal people do because of the undersea leeches they carry in their stomachs that form a gestalt entity of leech and human child. The Sisters drink the blood of Splicers and the leeches convert the blood into Adam which is probably removed from their bloodstream or even directly from the leech in their bellies?
Either way, Lil Sisters are very tough to kill as the Adam is a form of stem cells that repair damage to bodies very quickly BUT they are very unstable and so Suchong and Tennenbaum developed a way to produce Adam more quickly than letting a leech feed from a human. Because little girls are still growing, the leeches seemed to merge better with them than adults and formed a gestalt being formed of the two.
But they needed protection so the Big Daddies which were designed to repair the parts of Rapture needing work were put to use as 'Protectors' for the Little Sisters by using a special pheromone that made the Big Daddies very protective of any Little Sisters.
"angels remember so we remember"
Thumbs up! I'll admit that I didn't know most of this, except for a few of the games that use the 0451 code. But, the fact that you mentioned 0451 and gave a list of the games that use it made me super happy! Keep making these types of videos. I've already watched the New Vegas vid, gave it a thumbs up, and followed it with a subscribe.
That singularity meets portal would be a badass game.
At this point you have 59,*451* subscribers
_Cue Creepy Music_
Angiras Darbha XD
I'd love to see Bioshock remastered with Unreal Engine 4.And maybe add areas that were cut from the final game.
JohnSTF72 I agree but I can wait 5 or 10 years when it will be really beautiful. For now I'll patiently wait for FF7.
I learned a lot and I played and replayed all Bioshocks front to back numerous times haha, good video
Syy your enthusiasm and sincerity bring a breath of fresh air to CZcams commentaries, keep up the great work :)
all of these facts are on Imdb under the trivia section..
some of them verbatim. busted
Syy, please make more of these on a regular basis! I love these! It's so awesome! I knew NONE of these facts! Please!
Gabriel
Gabriel McConnor Thanks!
Bioshock is my favorite game, but most of these were new to me. Great job!
Good video! I miss the LP's but I'm happy you are still making videos!
Icarus Falls Thanks!
I didn't know anything so I pressed the like button twice
Would you kindly make another?
Gibson Litster noice
Lovin' these "10 Things you didn't know about...." vids! Nice! Will you make more in this series?
Found your 10 things series via your fallout NV entry and really enjoying these. It's like a more focused and interesting version of Did you know gaming. Subscribed.
Thank you! *tips hat*
love this game. I remember playing it for the first time and my mind being blown.
Regarding the Pacman thing...if you follow the time travel/parallel universe theory established in Bioshock Infinite, it's not surprising that someone could have referenced something from the "future".
Nice stuff!! learned some stuff. and now I'm going to subscribe!
damn.........U did a good job......
earned a like and a subscriber !!
+Tarunjeet Singh :D
+Syy by far one of the best freaking videos ever good job mate
i agree
+Jeremy Stockmeyer why would you put a dislike button why not just put no like or dislike. it just makes him look bad
ok...?
I know that the canon response for the ghosts in Bioshock is Adam footprinting, but in my own personal canon I like to think they're tears. Tears into the past. Hence why the screen goes all grainy just like how tears in Bioshock Infinite did it. ;)
I love these kind of videos. it's fun to see the stuff that I missed or I didn't know.
I knew about the 451 thing, but everything else was amazing! You've got 1 more like and 1 more subscriber! This is great!!!
godamnit, I was so ready to go into this scoffing at each fact but literally #1 was unknown to me. You my friend have earned a like and a sub.
MrPohnpeiboy Yay!
Do another one please!
I have more 10TYDKs for other games.
I am a big Bioshock fan and I have seen most of the facts you may not kno videos, but this video suprised me. Thumbs up! Sub confirmed!
You did your job incredibly well that you earned a like, a share, a Favorite and a new subscriber! My knowledge of this game was just slaughtered. Nice job!
It could be the number 451 represents the author and book which almost every fan of science fiction genre has read and probably respects.
Also, a lot of the games listed with 451 are dystopian science fictions,[ one of them is about writing books I think specifically too so there is a direct connection], Fahrenheit 451 is a classic member of the dystopian science fiction pantheon of stories.
Cohencidently... I see what you did there! :)
Great job Sy! Keep up the great work and have a great day! :)
There is no game that fascinated me more than Bioshock 1, youve earned a sub.
Can't wait till the remastered!
Same here i hope it looks better
Great job Syy!
Thanks!
I watched it again and found all these different references you made. "Cohen-cidentally" and the Mass Effect reference in the saving/harvesting little sisters thing. Bravo.
First of all, before watching the video I was thinking: "so how can this guy surprise me, I'm big fan of bioshock, I know everything about this game", but you really surprised me, yeah you did, I was knew only three of them, great job, keep doing this👍(sry for bad english)
I had to suscribe. I was sure I at least know about one of this facts but NONE! Great vid man :)
I have to say... this defniitely beats my Bioshock DidYouKnowGaming video. Great job!
FarfetchdReviews Thank you! I actually quite enjoyed your Bioshock video, and it helped me find trivia for some of the things in this video.
Ohhhhhh my god this is nerd gold, deep facts and easter eggs for the best video games is an awesome idea for a channel. Fist bump, fellow nerd, fist bump.
The Driver *Fumbles fist bump, ends up punching you in the face by accident*
Syyborg Gaming *Laughs hysterically*
*cries after witnessing such a horrible thing, then grabbed portal gun and goes to moon*
I didn't know any of these! This was great. :D
I actually didn't know about 9 of those. You sir have earned yourself a new subscriber.
rapture is gone in 2016 i put thoses cords couldnt find it
Wow, I knew everything besides the 451 thing. This video used to have 451 views. It also used to have 451 likes. 451, 451, 451, 451, 451, 451.
Okay! I was not expecting all the information that was injected into my head! I knew the first few but once it reached seven I was in a whoollle new territory.
I will very happily like this! Thank you for educating me some of my most favourite games!
The game tells you about how you are seeing ghosts, I don't understand how we would not know that.
And the Patrick and Moira thing is just a slight hint/foreshadowing.
Saw this video before.. knew all of the facts from the last time I watched the video. So disliked.
Well, arent you a special snowflake?
Berat Küçük
Called a joke. Much like people call your name a joke.
..was that supposed to be a joke?
Ylai Jah
It was a joke in that I actually liked the video and pressed like.
Oh.
In bioshock 1 you can actually hear the songbird drowning all the way from bioshock infinite. i swear, look it up.
Really?
Suicide Cyborg doubtful, as it was said in an interview, that none of bioshock infinite was even considered during the creation of bioshock 1
k thanks for clearing that up
That isn't true.
Suicide Cyborg np dude
The most interesting thing I learned from this video was in the opening action cinematic. I had no idea you could attach multiple proximity bombs to a life preserver and then use telekinesis to launch it at an enemy.
I didn't know ANY of them bro! Awesone job!
Wtf at #9
Helder Pinto same bro
Come back when you get some money, buddy!
Excellent video, thank you!
Bioshock is one of my top 2 favourite games and I did learn some interesting new facts here so thanks! :)
2k people pretend that they knew everything
I AM SORRY, MY ENGLISH IS A LITTLE BIT CARZY.
PLEASE TO TELL, WHY IS THE CHARACTER THAT YOU PLAY CALLED BIOSHOCK? I THINK THIS IS A MOST STRANGE NAME FOR A MAN. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL PLAYING A CHARACTER WHO IS CALL BIOSHOCK
Pork William His name is Frank
Antonio Martins thank you my friend
Pork William Do you mean the name of the main character in bioshock 1? Cus his name is not Frank it's Jack.
Happy The Cat how many times did you facepalm before saying that? Because my mental facepalm sector overheated and blew up
Marc Bradshaw What do you mean?
Wow! These are good. Nicely done
Wow, great video man! :D
you dont tell me what to do! instant dislike! *muahahaaha*
Peter Parker WHAT!!?....*JOBBER!!*
Hey you know what my favourite brand of rice is?
Uncle bens
Jonathan Gonzalez Aceves and my favourite brand of rice is? jonathan gonzalez aceves precious smelly ass rice ...1 of the best rice's off all time!!
Stone Cold Steve Austin thats my second favourite omg!!!
Jonathan Gonzalez Aceves *giggling*
you need to do another Bioshock related video. This was very interesting
Heard the voice acting one, but didn't know that the image was a fruit box. Everything else was new to me. Great video.
What with all the multiple dimension lark in Bioshock Infinite, the idea of the Pacman reference isn't entirely implausible
Exactly what I was thinking.
Funny how I knew everything, but I loved this video and BioShock so... Obviously I'll like it. To support you :D
Also you did do your job, to entertain me :D earned a sub when you said would you kindly
Well done. I just remembered how much I loved Bioshock. A V.R. Rapture would be excellent.
Syyborg Gaming Sir, you have my hand up (like). I didn't know any of this. Great series by the way!... Could you make a video about Fallout 3? (I love that game).
i'm obsessed wth BioShock so I've heard all this before but the 451 safe combo thing I noticed in all the BioShock games before seeing this. that's pretty crazy
Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is a Sci-Fi Novel based in a Dystopian future where books are banned. Basically V for Vendetta meets The Book Thief. Levine wrote BioShock as a critique of Ayn Rand's Philosophy (Actually plagiarizing it damn near verbatim [Atlas being a reference to Atlas Shrugged, as well as Who is Atlas being a reference to the same book and Who is John Galt.]) Now Infinite was an allegory to today set in 1912, So the references are in the games, because most of them, the Shock series and Deus Ex are preaching Bradbury's Message in some form, which was read for tomorrow you may not get the luxury to.
awesome video! learned 4 new facts thank you
I remember playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and thinking, "Why does it seem like a lot of codes in these games are a variant of 4, 5 and 1?" I'm serious too because I played through Bioshock several times and then when Deus Ex came out it just felt so familiar. Then it pops up in other games like Dishonored and I remember it again. Now I know... pretty cool, actually.
Love this game :D Sooo good, hoping for a Bioshock 4 sometime
Thumbs up. I knew 8 and 5, but all the rest were new. Thanks!
2:40 anti personell on big daddy. Damn that's a big waste of ammo.
These videos always amaze me! Just like Fallout New Vegas, I didn't know most of these. Amazing!
Thanks, glad I could entertain!
i always learn something with your videos.
Giving this a like because in the video you elluded to System Shock 2.....and that was the game I played RIGHT BEFORE going through Bioshock again for like the 4th time. Yeah 2015 and I JUST played System Shock 2 for the first time.
I think the first idea concept pitched would still make an amazing game lol
Well, I knew all of them. But thanks for uploading this video. I liked it. :D
Well, the Patrick and Moira thing makes sense. I missed it myself, but I've read if you go into Fontaine's office near the end of the game, there actually is a poster for Cohen's play up on the wall, the implication being Atlas was looking right at that particular poster when he first gave their names.
(On a similar note, the family angle actually exposes a chip in Atlas' story if you're paying attention. At one point, he mentions bringing his wife and son with him to Rapture, but later on, he reminisces about taking Moira to one of the clubs in Rapture on their first date).
i begrudgingly give you your thumbs up. nice episode good sir!
