Lyrics:
Take it down with a steam hammer
Pack it hard, lead shot in your mood shooter
Choose your poison, have a drink
With your painkiller, take us down
Wreck a party like it don't matter
Smash it up then get down, broken beat maker
If I could, I'd trade it all for an automator
Here it comes
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
Cosmo sucker, bad breath crier
Bad timing robo crap, you're a great liar
Overdrive, deep dirt
On your shit highway, black eyed
Fuzzy filter, hollow head wobble
Take a trip, get a grip before you get in trouble
And you wonder why you're called the destroyer-stroyer
Stereo
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
It's coming back again
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
It's coming back again
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
It's coming back again
Oh, you do it again
You do it again, destroyer
Take it down with a steam hammer
Pack it hard, lead shot in your mood shooter
Choose your poison, have a drink
With your painkiller, take us down

Revisiting in 2024….Like the good old days!!!! RIP Wayne.
The memory remains.
I miss him, try not to talk about that😊
Please don't judge me but I took my teenage daughter to see Static X and Otep it was amazing!!!
@@user-eq2xe1ho9l Excellent mom!!!
I wish Wayne was still here😢
Me too, you can cry on my shoulder. I sad too.
Take a drink with your pain killer pussies and stop crying lil biatches
Liberace wishes his brother George was here.
What suck a friend saving you from a overdose the not helping him. Now I'm just a sad homo crying listening to the deftones I think
On god
If you grew up in the 90's, thank Wayne Static for being original. Rip Wayne.
You're right!
Great band and great Wayne.
James Deller all the way till the end
same for me. I was lucky to see static x in 2003. they opened up for korn and they outdid korn's show IMO
James Deller My favourite band from childhood.... rip Wayne
Choose your poison.
"Choose your poison, have a drink with your painkiller."
Clear enough, Wayne, clear enough....
If you remember this song
you are not old
You are high quality vintage.
I still dress like I did in the early 2000s late 90s
Yeah my joints are vintage too. I’m 42 but sometimes I hurt so gd bad it feels like I’m 75
The fucking bass line in this song is so catchy
i'm no expert el maldito x
r.i.p I'll always miss the ministry covers they would do
tony campos’ bass playing and backup vocals on static-x songs are godtier ngl
Here goes the bass guy Durrrrrr
I love everything about the band but what I love the most is the rhythm section, Tony's bass lines combined with the amazing double foot pedal drumming of Ken or Nick.
Such a unique voice, nothing is filling that static-x hole in my heart.
❤️
Edsel Dope comes very close but nobody is like Wayne Static
Nothing ever will
Hopefully a new gen will fill all our hearts!
♥️
This takes me back to my days of a lotta weed, beer, and benzos....among other things.
I have this song in my "Music for driving at unsafe speeds" playlist.
DUUUUUDE....that made me laugh pretty good! I think I'm going to start a folder with the same name if you don't mind...this song will definitely be in it haha!!
Jonathan Smith Not at all.
I have this on my riding mix when I'm the rocket so yea i would have to agree this song just makes you want to go fast
care to share ? :D
Love it man xD
Static-X will forever be my favorite band!
I am "discovering" static-x very late, but im loving everything in hearing so far. Such a unique and great voice Wayne had!
Grind 2 halt, makes me think of dbz sagas.
his lyric pattern is also very unique with his fairly fast delivery. Love the song Z28 because of the pacing. There wasn't a man with better hair either 😁
Better late than never 🤟🏻😈🔥
I remember the bands name, but I've never heard any of these songs.
@Unknown KansasBoy Too true!! Actually been listening to a few new-to-me bands over the last year. So much good shit out there I'd never heard before.
2020 and this still hits like it did when I was a kid
Yes it does!
1st time I've heard it
Young buck
Fuck yeah!
2023 and same
Who cares about how he died? Let us remember how he lived and what he gave to the music community! He is a legend and did his own thing!!Cheers tonight and Rock on forever!~!Godspeed!
Well said.
How did he die?
Exactly!! How he died doesn't matter, that doesn't have anything to do with how talented and original he was! Underated legand
@@razorcola5434 nope. It was not an overdose. It was a toxicity issue with mixing multiple prescription drugs with alcohol.
Salute brother
"There is only ONE Static- X."
R.I.P. Wayne
unfortunately he live out the lyrics at :18
RIP Wayne Static

"Drink a 40 like it doesn't matter"
I will Static, I'll drink this 40 for you man. RIP man this was my favorite music video on HeadBangers Ball when i was in high school.
Cheers.🍺
It’s actually wreck a party, sorry to disappoint you ;((
with a pain killer
I actually thought Wayne said "Crack a 40 like it don't matter" lol.
@Diego Brando Can you believe they discontinued Mickey's?
"Have a drink with your pain killer" 🙁
Biggest regret is never seeing them live. RIP WAYNE. All these years later and I'm still obsessed!
They put on great shows. 👍 But, Edsel did a good job filling Waynes shoe's.
So, in 2011, I got stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. Wayne Static was doing a promotion of his solo album "Pig Destroyer" at Hooligans night club. He played one song of his solo album, the rest of his set was playing Static-X songs, including Destroyer. Wayne Static looked good too on stage, he looked like he worked out, his wife was one of of the dancers on stage. Good memories. Just thought you like I share that memory with you.
@@justinethridge9157 no edsel did not and using the same haircut as wayne is just an insult to me nobody can fill wayne's shoes
Same here, I regret never having seen them live before Wayne's passing especially since they were the band that got me into metal in the first place. I finally saw them in San Francisco last night and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The gang is doing a phenomenal job of keeping the band and Wayne's legacy alive.
Saw em in Dallas...it was Morbid Angel, Static X, Slayer and Pantera. Wayne was playing all of the Gibson Gothic guitars but what I remember most was how much it sounded just like the album. I didn't think any band could play that tight but they've always been one of the more impressive bands I've seen.
Static x will always be one of the most original metal bands ever, no one can ever do nor copy nor perform the way they do let’s not mourn Wayne’s passing but celebrate the amazing music he made for us with static x as well as his solo work.
Okay, I won't mourn his passing, if you say so.
Dope?
That base line. This song just oozes my brain to shreds. Static-X just has that kind of energy and vibe to it that makes me twitch and want to slam shit.
This video inspired me to try roller derby. Three years later and I am the destroyer.
What....that is awesome! Good on you!
Hell yeah
RIP it up, biyatch!
Cool.
Congrats!! That's fucking awesome. Chase the dream!
I don't use C4 pre workout powder, I use Static x Destroyer!!!!!
you got it right, its my style too... plug the wireless buds, crank up the volume... start the workout
@@digitalplugged8383 I use Citroën C4 to drive. I have no idea why am I writing this. Great song although.
a drink loaded with 300mg caffeine: 😴
evil disco: 😈
I'll never forgive myself for not watching one of the most unique voices ever before they died......never
Have drink with your pain killer 💊
Still do that some days. Nothing better then Jack Daniels gentlemen jack and 4 ibuprofen when your back feels like someone twisted it off and then stuck it back in

Dick Hurtz.... always makes me smile ;-)
The zoom into freeze frame makes it all the funnier!
I saw Static-X once in concert and it set the bar for all other concerts I've ever been to. So, tonight in my drunken state, I will seek out all Static-X videos and post this comment. Wayne Static, you brought joy to my life. I'm sorry you went the way you did. I'm here and I still love you. Jazz
Evil Disco then, Evil Disco now, Evil Disco forever
This bass line over the guitar riff with that vocal sound is amazing the break before chorus adds to the flavor infinitely
RIP man. You were amazing live....One of the first bands I listened to that made me love the music....
Same here!
And me!!
Static X isnt nu metal though.
Rachel Cote we all did 💜
I was 16 when I first heard them... I went nuts for their sound. I mean, I always loved bands like Megadeth and Pantera, but their look and sound was like a beautiful combination of electronic and metal. I loved it from the start.
I'm 36 now, and 20 years later they are still amazing. It's just too bad...
Thanks for the Ride Wayne!!!!!!!
r.I.p. bro......
Anyone here in *Current year*?
This is the best workout song
R.I.P. Wayne. Having a Static-X marathon in memoriam.
Doing that here during the pandemic February thru March 2021 😷
When this first came out this was my ringtone on my phone
I can honestly say that static-x has played the biggest musical role in my life ever since I heard Wisconsin death trip album. I have ear raped so many of my friends and family forcing them to listen to music that makes me feel so much more alive than any other band. RIP my dear friend and know that I'll be listening to you when I'm 80. You'll never be gone. Sincerely a true fan
Justus Woodard.....that's cool my man. I'm 66 years old and I'll be listening til I'm 100 if I'm so permitted. Headbangers FOREVER!!!!!
This song has some seriously overlooked bass work!
tragic to see him go, i was crushed by the news
First line sounds like "Take a dump in the street Grandma!"
see, i hear "take a dump in a steamhammer"
XD
@@CHIMERA259 no, he says "take it down with a steam hammer".
Cleavland steemer?

oh u must be new here
Very RIP Wayne :(
Wow not only did he have awesome music, but also a great sense of humor
Love em' both. Static X and Roller derby
Rest in Peace Wayne. This is the best workout song ever.
Amen
There will never be another screaming tone like his it was so recognizable!
agreed him and chester bennington both had such unique sounding vocals it can't ever be replicated
When I was a kid I used to watch the Los Angeles T-bird roller derby with my dad this is how I remember used to look like! this videos got it right......
You did it again, Destroyer
I'm devastated. RIP
Best scene ever 1:36 😂 What a face!
I know I just commented but I can't believe how underrated this group is. The most views ive seen on a static x song is 7 mill, not getting the respect they deserve. Too bad we won't be hearing anymore of their songs. He was a very talented individual.
there is actually a new album on way! I preordered already
liked for pic
This was one of my favorite music videos back in high school, I think it still holds up pretty damn well
Take a drink with your painkiller...... such a shame
ikr 😐
You're supposed to guys.
+Goodliferacing that's how he died
+Francisco Vera youre supposed to take a drink with your painkiller sounds like he condoned it. But yea it does suck that he past that way.
+Francisco Vera fuck you fuck all of you
I get the goosebumps everytime I watch along, thank you for being in my life as I grew up into who I am, I will always miss you & a few others, I hope you're all jamming out or relaxing, you were such a gem
I'm so late discovering Static-X. I feel sad to know Wayne is no longer around. Now I'm enjoying all their hard work in music.
More power Static-X
Wayne Static was a genius. I think about him all the time.
Absolute fucking art. My daughter is almost a month old and she will be listening to static X like her dad
Still rocking the static X, rip my dude
rest in peace Wayne, father of nu metal/industrial
RIP indeed, but not of NU sorry...
@@TheSpiritOverSky yeah that was probably korn
The Father of Evil Disco
Can't forget korn or ministry or kmfdm.
I love that Jim Morrison is on the cheer squad
But one can't; Forget the community. That made them. TY!
I miss him to pieces.
He played in my hometown of Topeka in 2012 and I was beyond impressed. Seeing a childhood star of mine shine on that stage was beyond ✨. How he even agreed to come here makes me happy he even gave us the chance and it was worth it for all!!!! RiP wstatic!!
I love the humor in this video RIP Wayne
Wayne was a real musican. His energy was pretty intense when on stage. Off stage he was a sweet nerd. Miss you man.
Man Wayne, I miss you man, walking into Gabe's house and seeing you playing with his daughter when you were in town for a show. Talking about regular stuff and being regular people. You taught me to see the talent in music that I dismissed just because it wasn't my preferred sound or genre. Well, keep rockin the afterlife brother, you are missed.
R.I.P
Still absolutely love this song
same
"never drink with your painkilla"
Death sucks on so many levels fuck it WAYNE ! you will sorely missed RIP mate listening to Static will never be the same you will live through your music forever ...
Man I like this song!, I might be too old to like this type of music, I'm 50 years old, I listened to this song with my co worker who is way younger than me. Its because of my co worker I now like this music. Unfortunately I learned Mr. Wayne Static passed away. Rest in peace Mr. Static as the comments here indicate you will be missed.
Never too old 😍
Sarah Dodd thank you 🙂
Age has nothing to do with this! Just enjoy it 😉
Miss you Wayne Static, one of a kind bad ass!
Man back in the day, most of my peers were listening to emo, I was just over in the corner rocking out to Static-X. Where has time gone?.......
He actually uses Aussie hair spray, the strongest one.. He holds up a part, sprays it, then while still holding it up, blow dries it and then it stays up. It's the same method I used when I had a 9 inch tall mohawk and it works wonders.
I used Moco De Gorilla, worked real good as well when I did my liberty spikes in high school lol
I always used gelatin and a vacuum cleaner hose for my hawk. blew out my moms vacuum but for 4 months I had it down
I got to see them live in 2007 and they fucking ruled I was blown away. I was at the gig to see Megadeth but Static X were the best band of the day massive energy.
Yeah, but, when it came down to it, Static X and Wayne Static weren't really in the same class as the Megadeths and Metallicas of the world. Or Anthrax, or Slayer, ect., ect. Nice hairdo though.
Still drops like a bomb in 22
Have a drink with your painkiller.... 🤣 Now your speaking my language !!
Do it

Amazing to think that such a simple song like this one sounds so good.
Rip wayne. Thanks for letting me experience awesome music in my childhood. And thank you for making that awesome music easy to play.
"Have a drink with your painkiller" damn....
This song will make me drive recklessly.
1.5k people didn't have a drink with their pain killer
I always want to believe the band was at their happiest making this video. Good song, solid & funny theme, and I miss the F out of Wayne Static. Damnit.
Fuc---- CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT R.I.P. the real original DESTROYER!!!!!!
Wayne was one of the great voices in rock music. Such a shame he couldn't beat his addictions
muy buena cancion ... como olvidarla :)
R.I.P Wayne!!! Your Missed!
Still going in 2019 rip wayne, you made my hs life survivable in the early 2000s
in 2024 this video and song is truly a master piece made in the great mind of Wayne Static.

The album Cannibal which Destroyer is from is one sick heavy piece of work.
Complete with Wayne's hair.
Good Music!....God Damn it...I miss Static-X!

Descanse em paz grande Wayne!
Such a good band. So many good memories while listening to this. RIP Wayne Static. Xerox, keep up the good work! I hope one day I might see you beautiful people in concert!
