macro is important, its extremely good for skin checks on moles etc, life saver literally,
ps battery charging settings, turn on super fast charge will fully charged in 20min, it's off by default as warns shortens battery life.
i just set a modes called fast change to enable when in a rush..

Ok review, thanks - its nice to know the differences with the S24 but I don't like the A55 being compared to the S24 all the time. It would've been better to either compare it to the A54 or with other brands of the same price range.

I bought A55 5G just a few days ago. I was using Huawei P30 for years, but then its motherboard broke down 4 months ago. Luckily, my bro still got his old Huawei P20 Pro. I used it for a few months,but it's rather old and lags a few times... and I finally decided to get a new phone that's priced reasonably and can last long. So far, I've been enjoying my Samsung A55 5G. It feels premium, and the build quality is similar to flagship phones! I'm very new to OneUI, and it's definitely sleek and visually appealing. So far, I'm happy with this purchase. The battery can last for more than 24 hours of minimal usage like mobile browsing, playing music and video clips.

I lost a £1200 phone and replaced it with this A55 : what a pleasure .... i cannot see the marginal benefit of paying an additional £800 for the iPhone ....
Watching on my 1month old A55 5g,,so far so good.l especially like the way it looks and l hate that l have to conceal it in a case hahaha

I bought the Samsung Galaxy A55 in May from my local Samsung store. I have loved it ever since and I can say that it is the best smartphone I have ever had in my life.
At just £500 (UK Currency) it's a really impressive device. It may not have the latest flagship Samsung AI features but if you are not going to use those features then it's not a big deal. The cameras are pretty decent too (I don't use my cameras very much so I didn't see the point in spending double the price just for great cameras).
It feels very comfortable in my hands and I love how they have added a metal frame to make it more protected.
I bought the Ice Blue colour when I purchased the phone. I got home to realise that the phone doesn't really look as blue like it is in the ads
My overall review on the phone is that I really love it and it's incredible for just £500
I even got a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE with it for *FREE*

Hi. Can you tell me, that after you installed everything you use daily, did you experienced slow down? Or for example the camera app can open inmedatelly or stuttering at open or opens but at the start of the video recording it puts stutters in it? My A52s does this and I am very curious if A55 still has, because when I checked A55 in a shop I saw stutters here and there but those were advertising menu mainly. And I am interesting in FHD 60Fps video recording. It crops a lot in A52s. Is it still does the same? Xiaomi redmi note 13 pro+ doesn't do that. Similar price range. Could you share your experience? (Usually I want to make very fast point a shoot picture, because my boys just are fast and with th A52s I usually late to take the pfoto, jast dtanding there and waiting like a fool. So I use for that a iPhone 13 Mini to be able to grab it in any situation, but it would be very interesting to know for me how fast you can shoot a picture with A55, when every app is syncing doing their work in background and I am afraid it can still slow down in that situation or put stutters into the start of the video or crops too much.)

Bro . I bought this phone . Your review was very detailed and excellent . How can I keep it to run longer without getting slow . bcz I think Samsung A series phone tend to get slow after some updates and their camera quality degrades I think . So tell me how can I keep it running smooth for a long time and make it better time by time and love your videos . Keep up the good work .

the 25w charger doesnt bother me because samsung is just trying to help us care for our device. Using higher w can charge your phone faster but can also damage the battery life easily so... 🤗

It would've been a welcome option (off by default), but I don't particularly miss it personally. That said, I've never owned a high end smartphone because I don't need the extra features I'd get there. So maybe I'm a lot more forgiving than a smartphone reviewer. 🤷🏻♂️

@@Geekception yeah tbh one of the reasons why I tried but could not adjust to samsung, pixel and apple phones. Having to wait for more than an hour sucks just to be fully charged. So many people say"it's to protect the battery". Battery replacements are cheap compared to having to worry about "damaging the phone battery" every single time. I'm tired of people making terrible excuses for having awful charging speeds in 2024.

guys, some people say that this phone has some issues and problems about its samsung keyboard, like suddenly jumping to home screen for no reason or laggy coming ups, bothering eyes at low brightness at night, overheating battery, and being unable to install some apps like shareIT or whatsoever. has anyone confronted these issues? i have a55 and i can confirm sometimes it suddenly jump on home screen issue, but the other on what you said, i cant confirm that because i new to the phone(like 3days or smth)

There is no problem in charging the phone while on. Actually, doesn't make much difference.

@@DEONTAY-WILDERI second this. I sold mine because of battery. Performance is much better on S23 FE but battery is 💩. And it heats up! Unless you're in a well-ventilated room. If battery is not that of a deal breaker, S23 FE is much better. Camera, display, gaming. Excellent. Used S23 FE costs like brand new A55, if not lower.

No, its good but s24 ultra speaker is like 10-20% better, you wont notice any difference but it does sound clearer in general

The A series are very good for the first year then you'll see it start slowing down and lagging... by lag I meant gets slow. I had the a10 series and a20 series. I'm going to upgrade my a23 to a55. If it does good il stick to a50 series if not il get flagship after the a55 dues

I am struggeling at my decision. Should I buy the A55 or the S24? Many people say that you'll notice much difference except for the price. Surley the S24 is better in some things, but it's also a flagship phone. But instead of buying 300€ more for a S24 i think the A55 do also a really great job and till the end a normal user will not notice the difference.

What do you use your phone for most of the time?
I am confused about the same. My maximum phone use is very basic like social media, songs or pictures
Not really satisfying for me, first for its rectangle edge and heaviness bad to handle, compared to a70-a72 era's design; second it's macro camera is truly useless, while a72 once had 2x telescope; third it has a weak gpu though the cpu is quite good for mid range. there are also minor cons: ratio is not 21:9 which good to watch wide video and excellent for multi-task working, no double sound speaker, wide gap on edge, kind of slow charge, no ltpo refreshing rate to go down at 24hz (although the duration of battery of a55 is kind of good, but not the best). if only a7x series still exists and the chef of samsung mobile didn't change.

@@Geekception oh i see.. usually watching videos, social media and games (rpg).. i did some customization like increasing vibrations for haptics and volumes, turning on AOD and FP scanner and some apps to run in the background.. oh and i have an average of 4 - 6 hours of screen time (as seen on me settings🙂)
I'll try to minimize my battery consumtion and see if it changes to that..

A54 is way way wayyy better in camera performance especially front cam...i compared it more than once & the a55 front cam really feels like a 13mp cam...The a54 is best overall and a55 is all about premiumness & slightly better performance...
yeah I liked the camera on the a54 too. it was very organic. as for build I agree, the a55 just feels so much more premium

@bignoob2726 no its not overpriced a lot of tech guys who have done reviews are saying it's fantastic phone for your money. Why spend over £1000 for nearly a new S series when the A55 is nearly as good for around half the price
@wesleyallin5487 you'd only think that it's nearly as good if you haven't used a flagship before... if you've used a flagship, then you'd know.
Just as two examples, they hyped up the screen telling you that it's flagship quality. But if you u put it side by side with any s phone from s10 onwards, u can very clearly see that the flagship dynamic amoled has far more color than the super amoled of the a55.
Example 2, they tell u that a55 has amazing cameras, yet it loses to s21 cameras.
They tell you that it has surprisingly good performance, but other midrangers in 2024 offer better performance. It's gaming performance is that of s20 exynos...
There's nothing amazing about this phone. You're basically paying for the flagship look. With none of the flagship, when you could get an actual older flagship that's far better with the same money. Or even less if you are willing to go for a refurbished one.

Th samsung Galaxy "ass" is not comfortable at all to hold. The fiingerprintscanner is a hit and miss.
