9:27 The difference I noticed is the color of shirt and the color of the trees in the background. Personally I prefer the A55's video processing because the background has more highlight control where it doesn't look overexposed.
First time viewer now subscribed also. Your presentation was excellent with a clear voice and all the relative information I was looking for. I've the A54 5g and will be staying with this as the A55 doesn't personally seem worth the upgrade. The A54 5G has since updated to Andriod 14 with the One UI 6.0 Thank you.

Hey I have the A54 as well (got it last month) and since it got the one ui 6.0 update, the software messed up my camera, and display, turned it all yellow tint ish and I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT 😭😭 Makes my pictures look overly saturated, my skintone turns turmeric yellow. And the display has this yellow tint to it as well.
Does yours have any software issues with the one ui 6.0 ?

Love your reviews. At 5:15 you say no Ltpo refresh rate but i understand that The A55 does dial down from 120Hz to 60 Hz when idle.

I have and like the A54. I just wish it had better battery life. The only reason I would upgrade to an newer version is if they significantly improved battery life, and it looks like they did not do that with the A55. So, I will wait until the A56 or 57.
I upgraded from an A52 to A55 and the difference is massive. A week later and I'm loving still loving it more and more.
Would you have saved and gone with the S24 or happy with A55?

Also upgraded from the A52s to A55 but the camera is horrible, all the pictures are so blurred...really sad

@hannahtwinbelinda it depends on the deals in your region. In my country, the base model S24 is over twice the price of the A55. I'm someone who doesn't want to spend too much on mobile devices, so buying the S24 hasn't even crossed my mind.

A54 & A55 Temperature Test?
Your benchmark scores are weird. I think your A55 is throttling, as shown by the high temprature rating. Other reviewers are getting significantly higher scores on the A55 in antutu and geekbench multi-core.
Please can you do a video on A35
The Geekbench and Antutu score of A55 is so much higher than A54. I got 726000 on Antutu, 1147 on Geekbench single core and 3382 on multi core.

Can you tell me how good are the speakers of a55, I have it and it sounds terrible, sounds like it only has a mono speaker not stereo, also even with the dolby atmos enable it sounds the same way, is it that my a55 has the speakers damaged? I upgraded from that Phone and it has poner enough i feel better especiales in battery speed shoot camera, you wont notice a big chance but in battery life yes, overall is better the A55 except in little details as wireless charging etc

The only reason i wanna update to the A55 is because of the software.
The one ui 6.0 on my a54 is really wack it ruined the camera it makes all my photos extra saturated and my brown skin turns turmeric yellow. Also the display has a yellow tint to it no matter what you do or view, you have to tilt your screen a certain way to get rid of it 😭.
But performance wise the a54 is really good especially for multitasking. I don't think i have the patience to wait for the one ui 6.1 update on my A54 that's why I was thinking about the switch.
Do you think the A55 can compete with the Google Pixel 8? They are currently only £15 apart on the uk and i’m stuck between the 2, the screen size attracts me to the A55 🤔
A55 has noticeably better battery but camera quality is quite a bit worse. Pixel 8 has wireless charging but no SD card. It does perform better for gaming, but it's not as long-lasting as the A55 as far as I'm concerned.
Hard to tell between the two. Tbh, I would just buy a Pixel 7 Pro 😂

I got my samsung A55 with free charger, both wire and the head (free), and free galaxy buds FE. a big win for me
If owned the A54 before now then I don't think there is a need to migrate to a55 because the different is not really much, and if you're talking about the Google pixel there's something I noticed in this generation that no matter clear the level of your mobile it's, most people's retouch their picture before sharing it on social media, if can own the A54 self I be oga and maybe I could have start my content creating self, God pls show me love and same time thank you Oscar for this and at we all learned something.

Personally, I'd go with the A55 in 2024. The cameras will rival the s10 and win in most aspects. Also, you get a durable build, more recent OS, more OS updates into the future, better battery life, and arguably, a better processor. I mean, if that isn't an upgrade, I wonder what is.

I tried the A55 camera instore today and also took pics with my s24+ and I'm super impressed! The clarity is much better and not as grainy and no blurry edges! I'm returning my S24+ asap!

It's certainly not a downgrade perfect phone at the price
For me the biggest draw of Samsung phones is the guaranteed Android updates + OLED panel. Apart from that, this phone is almost a rip-off considering competitors from other brands. The price is a bit high, software features are removed to differentiate it from its flagships, no charger or accessories.. If Moto, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo etc. could get their act together and guarantee at least 3 yrs of timely Android OS updates, Samsung could possibly no longer be so popular.
In the meantime I will try to hold on to my aging Huawei from 2017 for as long as I can 😆
The design is what turns me off from A devices right now. I hate this Iphone look. I liked the original design they had in A50 and A51 way more. This is why I am still using an A50, but I might upgrade because my battery is dying.

Yes, It's downgrade for me since I came from the S serie which I barely use all its High performance worth as I payed. Even It's not as good as I ever use, but it's good enough for me in ordinary daily use.

Galaxy A55 for 420 dollars will make sense in a world where Xiaomi, realme and oppo don't exist. These phones are slow AF. They are fast right out of the box. But give it a week and they will disappoint.

Also, in this video, and in your A35 video, I noticed that your Geekbench scores are not accurate, and do not match geekbench testing elsewhere. You should clear out your background apps and wait a minute before testing on geekbench for accurate numbers. You, and some other reviewers, need to spend more time researching and giving accurate information as not to mislead others. Especially if this is your profession. Also, you said that you prefer small phones, but you like the A55 design more? That makes no sense. I am not impressed here.

I recently got my mother the Moto G84 which seems like a close contender to the A55, not to mention, it comes with OLED screen, whooping 12gb ram and 256 storage, 5000mAh battery, a headphone jack (which she wouldn't use obviously 😅), a free 33 watts charger and case.
