  • I still use a MacBook Air and iPad for a majority of my work, but I also use Windows and Android. I made a full switch to Android phones, here's my take of the Samsung A55. I upgraded from an A52s 5G, my friends said I wouldn't last but I have never looked back since. The A55 comes with a free pair of ANC Galaxy Earbuds FE (Fan Edition) and even a Samsung 25W power adapter for the supplied USB-C cable that came with the phone.
    Excellent value for money, superb technology, just the camera I needed, the perfect phone for my lifestyle.

    Dude the Galaxy A52S is the GOAT of the A series! I still have one and still planning to keep it even if my main phone now is a Pixel 8. I still need those quirks and features of the ONE UI and A52S is so reliable even after 2 years

    My work colleague is iphone user, he recently adopted A55 as workphone as that was one of the option available for him, he's loving it. He said, he couldn't believe A55's camera and Android apps are amazingly better than iphone.

    You have to keep the sticker intact...you can stick it to the phone box. No need to keep it on the phone

    My A55 battery did degrade but it's still good. I brought it to a shop to change out the battery but they recommended that I didn't have to. The A55 battery performance is similar for me, it doesn't go on for two days but that's also because I use it alot its an interesting new toy.
    The performance is noticeably faster, snappier, I think it should last to the third year before it starts to show signs of slowing.
    Number of files and internl storage free disk space matters for performance too I found with the A52, so I opted for 256GB model even thought SD expansion goes up to 1TB.
    I went for the A55 over the S23 because of price and my active ocean lifestyle. 😊
    Hope that helps friend.

      Does it have a heating issues sir? My a55 has been heating

    • @injuredtechman
      @injuredtechman  Před 15 dny +1

      @@jackGADRE3L There is a little bit of heat when using right after charging and prolonged use such as watching a movie or playing a game. It only becomes a problem when you bring it to your ears and use it on the face right after these three activities. However, with a phone case you feel it less.

    I have had a Samsung Galaxy A70 for the past 4-5 years and really needed an upgrade, so I got a Google Pixel 8 a couple of weeks ago and I'm really not enjoying it! I'm seriously considering sending it back and going for an A55 instead. I enjoyed all the Samsung features that I'm so used to - I don't use my phone for much other than the notes app, social media and taking photos so I think the A55 will cover everything I need with the familiarity of still being a Samsung. I think the main reason I'm not liking the Pixel is because I'm having to get used to a whole new system..... The S24 has a similar camera but is hundreds of pounds more!

      @injuredtechman  Před měsícem +1

      I considered the Google Pixel too but went for Samsung for the SD card slot.

      I'm planning on getting a pixel 8 pro. so can you please tell me if there's anything else besides the UI that you didn't like about the pixel 8. I'd appreciate that

    • @injuredtechman
      @injuredtechman  Před 3 dny

      @@hamza.el.k for me it was mainly the price and SD card slot. On the A55 I can set the SD card (up to 1TB) for my recorded media, videos, multitrack audio, and photos, as well as editing.

      @@hamza.el.k Hi, the other details I didn't like were things that I knew about before getting the phone, but were still annoying... all the apps were in a long list and could not be grouped/re-ordered, I hated that I could not change everything on the home screen, and the battery seemed to charge slower than my A70. I also hate change so I am much happier with sticking with Samsung, and the A55 does more than I need!

    Hi, love the vid. Im just wandering which phone should i get, either an Iphone 12 or a Samsung a55? What is your overall opinion?

    • @injuredtechman
      @injuredtechman  Před 15 dny +2

      I have spent many years on an iPhone, iPad, Macintosh ecosystem, that means I have invested in a lot of software which I still love and want to use. Audio and video editing, software instruments, are incomparably smooth on Apple systems. I was able to make the shift to Android because I have an iPad to continue using my iOS apps. The Samsung A55 gives you a really good camera, functionality and good build quality without hitting too high a price. Having the option to expand video and photo storage into a 1TB SD card is a big plus. And also for me (check your local store), my A55 came with free ANC earbuds, that’s great value.

      I saw the Nothing Phone at the shop too. Good specs. I went with a more mainstream brand because my OPPO phone wasn’t compatible with my DJI drone.

    I was waiting for someone to make a comparison with A52s. I too have an a52s which is running good, however the battery has degraded. How is the battery backup ,on a55?
    I'm confused in choosing between s23 fe , a55 and nothing phone 2.
    Can the chipset on a55 hold on to the new updates which Samsung promised for 4 years?
    What would you recommend?

    • @csyiphk
      @csyiphk Před měsícem +1

      I have A52s as a third phone, or a DAP & portable photo backup to be precise. The real urges for so many iPhone/flagship users, myslelf included, to rush and bought all those A52s as a second phone/ collectable, were the second card slot for memory card extension, headphone jack and the qualcomm chips. Now A55 still kept the memory card slot. That alone may be the reson for anyone to consider A55 seriously. For users living in countries far bigger than Singapore, chip set and radio frequency supports can be important if reception quality is on your priority list. It is not ideal for qualcomm users when upgrading to a Samsung chip. So I would not border upgrading from A52s. But, if you want a better camera, and you live in a country with excellent cell tower infrastructure like Singapore. And if this is your only phone or main driver, A55 is a worthy upgrade. Just having a newer chipset and more ram alone can be worth considering.

    I've been and Android user for ages even though for a while I used and iphone way back when iphones were small and squared 😊 but I've been considering switching back to iOS even though I had and iphone 12 last year but there's something about iOS that gets on my nerves and its the lack of freedom. I mean, they are great devices all pretty and premium and the cameras are really nice but the file manager is both a disgrace and an offense. And also the fact that Apple always tries to twist your arm with purchasing storage and limiting functions as to keep you trapped in their ecosystem... Why the hell can you not plug in an iPhone to a different operating system to exchange files between devices? iOS has some great qualities with its updates for years and years being one, but it also has some mayor flaws and red flags. I whish Apple would just pull out the cucumber out of its own arse and be more flexible!
    I own a Samsung phone, which is a good brand, I mean to me it's the Apple of Android, but I'm still tempted and wondering if I could make it work with iOS one more time 😅😭

    • @injuredtechman
      @injuredtechman  Před měsícem +1

      You're right. I used the iPhone for so many years because I was entrenched into the ecosystem with both tablet and laptop needing to be part of that ecosystem for the best file transfer experience and even then it was not so straight forward. But the competition has gotten great =).I am loving this Android phone. I feel like Gollum and the ring of power. It integrates with Windows beautifully.
