Toph's character design change of decision was the best thing ever.
Miranda Lou *SCREECH!!!!!!!!* There! Got a pretty good look at you!
Thank god, she‘s so fucking badass
The Last Airbender is the only series that I have watched twice. Once as a kid, and once as an adult. lol Love that freaking show
Try 6 and counting.
nessus12 This is my 3rd year (and 5th time rewatching) both series
Me too haha. I Just bought the whole series/ all there books on the internet a week ago and watched it within two days haha. But the end is freaking m out...all I want to know ist how it goes on after all that heartbreaking stuff happend...
I rewatch this show once or twice a year when I'm just bored, since maybe 2007/8
nessus12 same
I always just assumed that the air bender in the opening credits was Aang.
it is....same clothes same build only air bender in the series but I also don't know about the earth bender was that original designs truly split into 3 different characters like why? just the boulder would be fine
Same. I was so sure lol.
yahh
+david dor Air benders have the same sillhoutte :D they are all bald and have same clothing. I also assumed it was Aang tho :D
+david dor me to
The boulder is feeling content with Toph's character change
"Little soldier boy", never cried soo much while watching animated tv series T_T-
that episode was really good
srsly I cry every time I hear it, it's so sad 😫😫😫
i actually never heard it in english, i should probably listen to it some time.
OMG ME TOO !!!
It was prob the best filler episode in the entire world.
Not gonna lie, I prefer Aang over Korra. Of course because as we watched Aang grow, he seemed stronger, wiser, way ahead of his time (well, technically he was already, but you get my point), and just so many steps surpassing Korra that it just made him look like a badass at the end. Not to mention that it also made all the other characters in Legend of Aang look more powerful than those in Legend of Korra. I mean, look at the White Lotus elders (Bumi, Jeong Jeong, Pakku, Piandao), and don't even get me started on Iroh and Team Avatar's members itself. The show itself just outpaced LOK so much. But in an unbiased opinion, LOK did show us the actual slow development of a Team Avatar. It's not always going to be a quick build into a team like Aang's team was. And Korra's failures were cringeworthy, believe me. But with Korra's struggles with her physicalities, bending, and mentality, it took a great look into her personal struggles and taught that nobody's perfect, even if they are the Avatar. The storyline I agree wasn't much better, but it did have some lessons to tell.
True. Looking past what everyone wanted to see in an Avatar, watching Korra learn more about herself and her world was pretty deep. You can see it was especially hard for her, because though she thinks she's prepped for anything, when everything comes at her at once there's just some things that she can't fully handle. LOK got more in depth showing that it ain't that easy being the Avatar.
I agree with you who was a better avatar and has strategy balance and mercy if you still had a connection does avatar spirit she may have learned faster but
You know what they say the longer you take the more you know
+Marcus Teah sorry auto corrected some .of my words
+Vauni98 same here, I like Korra, I really do, the animation is beautiful, the character designs are awesome, the acting is amazing, I love seeing the future that the Gaang envisioned, its just...I can't describe it, there's just something off about it, something that doesn't make me like it as much as Aang's story, maybe its just because I started with Aang and miss him with his goofy marble trick but there's just something that makes me prefer Aang
Korra's story is fun, heroic, sad at times and badass at times but Aang's...its something much better, its so complete, serene and beautiful, its almost as spiritually enlightening as the Airbender philosophy
The world was just so well put together, amazing backgrounds, exciting music, heartfelt moments, amazing characters and character development, great original concept, excellent choreography and beautiful action sequences, you grew attached to the characters, even side characters so much quicker than you knew, you watched them grow, felt their happiness, laughed as they did, felt their sadness and anger, the show had its own philosophy and well put together back stories, the only real way to describe it as a masterpiece
And...that's really all I can say, The Last Airbender was a beautifully orchestrated masterpiece that will be remembered and loved for years
Carlos Bailey I know but even so I still don't think it would have been as good as ATLA in my mind, whatever the case Korra is done, it was still great, saying it was rushed is just an excuse, just accept it for what it was, a great show
I was disappointed in The Legend of Korra for losing some focus on the themes The Last Airbender was based on. The Legend of Korra just did not seem to have some sort of "basis" to go on. It had the formula and plan of who does what and goes where but just did not have the pzazz go along with it.
I feel u broo
Korra can be a frustrating character at various points in the series. She's bull-headed, prideful, and she sometimes pushes away the people she needs most. But in the context of the series, it makes a lot of sense. She's been sheltered and spoiled and she, more than anyone else, is living in Aang's shadow, not certain what the world needs from her. So it's no wonder that she doesn't have Aang's sense of clarity and direction. It also makes it much more satisfying to watch Korra grow into her own, to learn what she can do as the Avatar and when it is appropriate to put her life on the line.
+JustWatchingVideo56 I would strongly disagree. Korra did stumble a bit, I grant you, but from what I gather, Nickelodeon played a HUGE part in that; they said they were only going to order 13 episodes (hence the first season is a self-contained story)...then at the last minute ordered more episodes, meaning the team had to rush out a new season from a story they had effectively concluded, which is why season 2 was such a mess. So yeah, sadly the team was not given stable footing to begin with to create a story as focused as Avatar was. If they had been given 52 episodes to work with from day one, I'm certain it would have been better paced and focused.
Nevertheless, I think Korra DID have a consistent theme: Change. Ultimately, every season is about a society going through change, and the turbulance that comes with that. Every villain in the series is either responding to social change, or trying to provoke it. Amon is reacting to the rise in non-bender prejudice and trying to create equality. Unalaq (albeit selfishly) is trying to break the barrier between man and spirit, and feels people have lost respect for the spirit world. Zaheer and Kuvira both feel that Earth Kingdom government is broken and corrupt and needs to be replaced, either with freedom and anrchy, or a controlled, united empire.
The Avatar's world has gone through a massive metamorphasis in the past 70 years...and every season of Korra has dealt with the issues that come with that. Old ways of living are giving way to modern social values, and Korra has to find that line between preserving tradition and allowing for progress. It's not as simple as just beating the bad guy and restoring a status quo; even if the villains are beaten, they are still symptoms of a social problem that Korra HAS to address. Even Tenzin trying to teach old Air Nomad philosophy in season 3 is in keeping with the theme of change; should the Air Nomad ways be remembered and respected, or has society changed too much for those archaic ways to mean anything anymore?
At the end of the day, all seasons of Korra are about tradition vs progress...and even that is still just a variation on the one, resounding theme of the entire franchise: Balance.
+JustWatchingVideo56 The Legend of Korra isn't supposed to be similar to The Last Airbender. It was meant to touch on much more adult themes, like terrorism, depression, PTSD, and more. The show was meant for the kids who grew up watching The Last Airbender, but who are now young adults and who face a much different reality.
+Steve Allen Season 2 was only a mess int he first half. The Second Half has some of the best Avatar episodes ever including the spectacular two part series on the first avatar Wan. I really enjoyed the spiritual angle of Korra that continued from that point on.
Zuko, also known as "Sasuke with charisma and well-writen personallity"
A.K.A Sasuke in reverse.
Well Sasuke is like any other shounen rival a Vegeta ripoff while Zuko has his own thing...
J. Ackermann the only fiffetent is that sasuke is a better character
centonier Bethcepour Lavhy *Well-Written
centonier Bethcepour Lavhy Zuko is Sasuke if he had a believable redemption arch that wasn't contrived bullshit.
I feel that aang was a better avatar and a better character. my problem with Korra is that she was a prodigy so she only needed to learn patience and perseverance, while aang had to legitimately figure out what the best coarse of action was to end a war, how to master all four elements and the avatar state within a year, who to trust, how to have faith, and most importantly how to adapt to a world that he had been away from for 100 years. I just felt aangs character had more depth and was more relatable to the point to where I felt korra was a let down from aang. But that's just my opinion.
+CHRIS ZEPHER But Korra had a struggle in the 3rd and 4th season.
Kinda have to blame Nickelodeon on that. They only ordered one season originally so they couldn't spend one whole season building characters.
+IconicSchmoobie Yes, but aang had it all throughout. I honestly didnt think korra was good until the 3rd and 4th books and even then didnt compare to the original.
Hold this *W*. You deserve it.
Thanks guys for the support :)
Have not finished legend of Korra. Her teenage angst is so off putting and contrasting to Ang's lighthearted easygoing nature.
+The 6th Order I prefer the last airbender too, but I never liked Ang (I found him almost creepy).
that's how shes supposed to be
Yeah but their pandering to teens makes the show more about drama between characters than in the last airbender.
yet by the end of season three of the last airbender it felt it was for a somewhat more matured audience that followed the series from the beginning.
The series starts getting better, tbh. I don't know at which point you gave up, but the 3rd and 4th books are MUCH better than the first (edgy teenager Korra) and second (possible psychopath, crazy Korra) books. The series later cuts down on the teenage drama, ends the insufferable love rectangle between the main characters and introduces some interesting, multidimensional villains.
I always thought the airbender in the opening sequence was Aang....
+Nicholas Bloxxer Me too I was like wtf
ME TOO!
+Nicholas Bloxxer yea me too, but i guess you can't make that assumption since all air nomad shave their heads. Plus looking back, the air nomad's body structure looks a lot taller than Aang imo.
+MrLittleSam finally someone that's understands.
+Anime Balls Deep could it possibly be the original Avatar?
Avatar is by faaaaaaaar, the best cartoon show EVER !!
And one of the best show ever
Not really but I like the show
@@naiaferrell4203 Something better?
@@syressx9098 Dragon Ball Z
Facts
i know that The Last Airbender was way superior to legends of korra
I still enjoyed the show.
Last Airbender is indeed better. The plot was a lot more ambitious and gave the creators a lot more to work with than they got with LoK.
LoK could have had so much more potential had they chosen a different time period where things were much more turbulent, in turn giving more material for the creators to use.
+TheRelentlessKnight I wouldn't say "way superior" I wouldn't even use the word superior, its more... side by side if you ask me
mynegaims Nah. It's all forced conflict with a shitty cast.
TheRelentlessKnight
you crazy. I wasn't feeling the first season all that much due to the slowness and lack of plot and espically the fucking love triangle, but once you get past all that, good god its a master piece! its just more nostalgia and good times and the fact that it was pure badass for its time with the avatar which is why I would rate it higher than korra.
I pick Anag I can't lie he was way funnier and plus he had to learn all the elements... Korra had a headstart
well she had to learn them all but she was better off the bat, In the end both Anag and Korra are equal in my mind
+lukeirot yeah I guess
not to be that guy but isn't it Aang instead of Anag?
Korra had way much more emotional growth from beginning to end, something pointed out by tenzin in book 4 if I remember correctly.
Who the fuck is Anag?
The graphic novels should totally get tv adaptations id watch the shit out of it
If they dont fuck it up anyway
hell yeah
DaMainMann Underscore yeah I'm shocked they haven't already. It would bring lots of revenue.
DaMainMann Underscore Agreed
Except the comics were pretty bad. The characters didn't act at all like you'd expect them to based on what we know about them. They'd have to heavily re-write the dialogue and story to make it decent.
I prefer Aang, as he showed the one of the true powers of being an Avatar, by having an "Self Activating Safety Avatar Mode" e.g. when he got caught in the storm and his previous life saved him by meditating n saving Appa and himself for over 100years ( I thought that was pretty cool ), falling into the icy waters after fighting Zuko for the first time to save his ass and many more. Aang just felt more spiritual while Korra felt more political. I wish they would create an Avatar series for the previous Avatars. Kiyoshi would have been interesting!
I used to think that the air bender in the intro was aang.
Yea we all did basically
+Matthew Samar Me too!
What?!?? It's not???
+Matthew Samar used to think the earth bender was "The Boulder"
+NappyPappy4life it's the one before him (Roku)
There are like 10 facts for each fact
+Ricardo Sheler balls deep.
+Anime Balls Deep balls deeper
+Ricardo Sheler How the hell does that work?
+Ricardo Sheler and that's what I greatly dislike of video series calling themselves "107 facts about this" because in reality they only have 7-12 facts per video, I counted. The reason why they expand is because there are variations of each fact, kind of like pulling a loose thread and it just keeps going; it doesn't mean that there's more than that one thread within that particular layer of clothing.
Video series realizing that there is only a certain amount of facts then elaborating is how it should be because it won't confuse the viewer when the author decides to return to a previously established "fact."
+RacinZilla003 yeeeeeeeeee someone that gets it
Aang is better.
+D34THMACH1N3 FTW I may agree with you on that point once I watch Korra for myself, I don't care how many people don't like it I make my own opinions.
But if you're talking about skill as a bender, well you are half wrong.
Remember the Avatar State? Unless they have retconned something in Korra (they may have, I don't know) then every Avatar that dies makes the Avatar State better. In the Avatar State you are the embodiment of hundreds of generations of power and skill from the best in the world. Even if she's horrible the rest of the time, she should kick ass slightly _more_ than Aang did in the Avatar state.
Now this doesn't really help if they just wrote her to be shit anyways, she can't go around that way all the time and if she's _really_ shit she might not even be able to talk to Aang, Roku, and the rest or even use the Avatar state if she messes up that chakra and is too stupid to find a guru.
Now again, I have not seen this series. All of this is hypothetical based off of what I know from Avatar.
I've only seen a few episodes of The Legend of Kora, but I'll probably watch it once I've read the comics of what happend after the Firelord was defeated.
I. Thorberg Korra is objectively less powerful than Aang, with the exception of before the fight at the end of the Book of Spirits.
Aang has ten thousand years of Avatars to call upon in the avatar state, Korra has only Rava.
I. Thorberg
Lets consider the fact that Aang beat Firelord Ozai during the fall of the commit. That gave all fire benders, including Firelord Ozai pretty much unlimited power. Now even though Aang wouldn't of won with out his Avatar state; he still managed to put up a pretty good fight against him. Kora couldn't even dream doing that by herself. And when I said Aang was better, I meant through his and her's normal state of form, so basically, no avatar state. Counting the avatar state wouldn't really be fair as it's basically when all the previous avatars engage in the present avatar's body.
And guys, it's only avatar; there's seriously no need for this to get heated.
***** Fucking loved it when they introduced Wan, I've always wanted to see the beginning of the cycle.

is this the ganxiba thing?
The last airbender DEFINETLY beats Legend of Korra.I mean,we watched the characters from The last Airbender grow up,and fell in love with them.We fell in love with Sokkas sarcasm,Aang's sillyness,Kataras strongness,Aang's love for Katara and more. The idea was, that we'd do the same with Legend of Korra. But instead,we felt like we didnt get enough of the old characters, and started missing them.Instead legend of Korra,we wanted more team Avatar. The movie was a failure.I have watched legend of Korra, but I have also watched The last airbender at least 4 times.Bring back team Avatar!
Sokka is literally 8000 times better than Bolin
Shane G Ikr
Sokka simply isn't a character one can replace. And idek who Bolin is (I guess he's from Korra).
@@lemons2300 he's basically sokkas replacement in LOK
I like both
Sokka was actually smart but provided adequate comedy relief... Bolin was just an idiot.
I would love if they continue with Aang after the war
Sweaxy Sweaxy they are making it
@carbed and ready to stalk Just Google it
Sweaxy Sweaxy they did in the comics now aang and katara are togethet aang masters the avatar state in the rift comic he fights a giant ancient spirit it was amazing read it dude or u can watch on youtube
Abel K1NG xo can you send me a link??
yellow eyes u mean where he fighst the giant ancient spirit?
I thought the air bender in the opening sequence was Aang this whole time
Same because in Legend Of Korra isn't that her bending the water??
Riyan Minaee yea
Yes, but the difference is, in Avatar, they show just benders who are masters in their specific bending style, while in Korra, they're all specifically Avatars during that sequence. Hence why it shows Roku, Aang, Kyoshi, and obviously Korra.
FireLord2506RS Thanks for clearing that up
Aang was a master of air bending that’s why he had the tattoos
I think the difference is that LoK didn't have a major plotline. It was just Korra vs Amon, then Unalaq, then Zaheer and then Kuvira. They were all main antagonists. So it had to build tension and climax four times, whereas all three books of LoA revolved around the same antagonist: Ozai. Other villains like Zuko, Azula, Zhao etc were minor villains that made the series more exciting but no matter how many victories Aang had, Ozai was still there. I think that's what made LoA easier to watch, because at the end of each book you still wanna know what happens next. I think that's the missing thing in LoK that makes people feel disappointed. But I still think that Zaheer, Kuvira, Avatar Wan, Tenzin and Amon were really good characters. Certain parts were really moving and well written. Like LoA, LoK had deep spiritual messages and that's what makes it a worthy sequel. Also the animation, music and choreography was probably of higher quality than LoA. The only thing that gives Aang the slight advantage over Korra to me personally is that LoA is that the exotic, eastern inspiration was really present. The world felt overwhelming and the eastern philosophies were constantly there. LoK feels more western, as if we shifted from old china to industrial revolution England. But Legend of Korra is, no matter what people judge, an excellent piece of fiction that was really well put together. Even if it had it's minor flaws that might be off putting to some. Yeah, the humor and light hearted moments in Legend of Aang are irreplaceable but as long as you don't try to compare the two of them every second both are amazing in their own right. Thanks for reading. hahaha
Personally, I thought they should've made a series about Wan. I found him and his story to be way more likeable and interesting than Korra. *Casts Flame Shield*
This is like pin pointing my opinions of the 2 series
+lytningthief honestly Wan is cool, but I feel like it would've gotten boring honestly. Like there's only so much that could have happened
Jenny Hwang
I disagree. Plenty of things happened on Aang's search for bending teacher's. He had funny and or cool misadventures, ran into some enemies, and developed some new skills. The writers could easily make Wan's adventures much more interesting. And if you're wondering about who he would face enemy-wise, I'd wager he'd meet up with plenty of evil spirits who sided with Vaatu as well as some bandits/pirates etc.
lytningthief Yeah I see what you mean. I just like the idea of Korra because it's in more modern times and you can see how the Avatar reacts to changes in the world in modern time
I honestly prefer aang to kora. I never liked how she was so braty and bossy (compared to aang at least).
She wasn't really bossy but I will agree she was bratty in the first series.
***** yeah I need to rewatch the series
Idk why its so damn hard to TV to have a badass female who isn't a bitch. And, I'm counting Toph in this too. I mean, no one would say Aang isn't a badass and he a goof.
Ben2099-1 I like how Korra grows throughout the series though. She's a very different person by the end, and I like that.
yeah. a lesbian that dated everyone of her friends by the end of the series. I wish I was making that up.
I though it was hilariously ironic that Zukos maternal great grandfather was Avatar Roku while his paternal great grandfather was Fire Lord Sozin.
That's the point
They should have made those comics, "The Promise" and "The Search" into more episodes. As a prologue. That would have been nice. They still could do it!!
UnitedWeStand4EVR i second this so bad 😩😩😩 @konietzko get crackin wit dem episodes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I read somewhere that they were going to turn them into episodes, but Nickelodeon said it was "too dark". So it was scrapped.
Fran Viera then they should put it on other channels, where they don’t say it’s too dark
so if they would make another avatar the avatar would be in the earth nation ?
+kioma james yes unless they skip a cycle.
Wish they make 2 more avatars to complete the cycle of air, water, earth, fire
but didn't korra destroy the cycle forever?
+KKAnimated she destroyed the first cycle now she is the first in the 2nd cycle which is why her avatar state is weaker than aangs
flamethekid wish I see plot right their if they would continue the next avatars purpose would to restore the cycle
Every time they comment about the animals they forget to mention Bosco, the earth kings "JUST" Bear kkk
"...This place is weird."
Such a good fourth wall break 😂😂😂
I loved Bosco!
Victor Oliveira kkk? Ya racist 😂
i think the legend of aang is better. Korra is to action orientated, were aang is more on emotions and the spiritual philosophy
yaasss
"legend of Aang"
+Perspektive77 I completely agree. Aang is miles better, Korra can't even compare.
+Perspektive77 just going off the episodes i would say im split between the two. in terms of combat i would say that Korra is more powerful mainly because of the power she has in the avatar state near the end, where it was just her own power because she lost connections to her previous lives. however, i believe Aang is more wise and understanding being shown that he is more mature, at the physical age of 12-13, than Korra who is 17-18/21. Though if Korra was able to learn more from Aang and his struggles Korra would ultimately become (in my opinion) the most powerful Avatar thus far.
AsianBuzz
that is where i think aang is the better developed character. because he was not the demigod that korra became early. aang was vulnerable and not the super sayanlike master fighter. overall i think the aang series is a better fitting cartoon/anime for adults, i was 21 when i discovered aang the first time and finished it when i was about 25. korra didnt gave me the cool vibe of the world/worlds anymore that i had with aang, it felt a little like those teen highschool things from the USA. but hey, thats just my opinion.
The creators basically killed off aang and all of his memories. its like they spat in our face after giving us a huge journey with him.
zadose Worst part Sokka wasn't mentioned at all
"And they didn't even wanna show us what happened to our beloved characters in the future."
That's what the comics are for.
For that reason, but not only, I don't really view it as a sequel.
I know sequels can be like that, but to me it didn't feel like a sequel... Either do a sequel completely cut off from the world of Aang or do it properly tied to it and satisfactory. Maybe I just didn't like Korra simply because I didn't like it. I guess a lot of my dislikes are just personal lreferences. Nevertheless Korra lacked most things that I loved about Avatar and just didn't feel like a sequel.
essennagerry same here ! I regret watching korra every single episode i watched last 2 seasons only to see if she made contact with aang and other but that went in vain
CeCe Goddess they said that sokka died
Aang was a better Avatar, and all around fighter, when he only knew airbending than Korra was when she knew all styles of bending. No joke, the whole time I was watching the series I was going "Aang would do this. You screwed that up, Aang would have done it like this. DODGE! DODGE LIKE AN AIRBENDER!"
Aang was also 12 when he mastered all techniques known at the time and defeated fire lord Ozai when Korra at age 17 struggled too hard to defeat Amon (and everyone else that followed).
Because shes not an airbender and all the dodging and flips and shit that Aang does arent in her nature to perform. Aang was nimble and his movements were light, largely due to the fact that he was an airbender and grew up an air nomad, Korra didnt. If you had Aang and Korra do a swimming race, for example, Im sure she would smoke Aang, because she grew up in the South Pole. Korra was definitely more powerful, she maybe wasnt as good of a natural fighter just because Aang could move WAY better than she ever could, but she had a much better grasp of all the bending styles. You guys seem to forget, Aang didnt MASTER all 4 elements when he was 12, he just became adept enough in all of them that he could defeat Ozai, which he still needed to go into the Avatar state to do in the first place.
Syntherus You’re dumb if you think Aang would defeat Korra. She’s way more versatile and powerful than Aang. She has faced more powerful opponents than Aang ever has. Overall, she’s just an overall better Avatar than Aang.
And needless to say, but Aang was a wiser and more responsible avatar than Korra. AND HE WAS FREAKING 12!
B Irons I beg to differ the only reason korra would be "stronger" she knew water, fire, earth, wind bending at least the basics but if my memory serves right she has a pretty good mastery of them more than aang although aang was frozen for hella time and only knew air bending he caught on water bending pretty fast. Earth it state by toph it could need work and fire well since he hurt katara but maybe if he didn't we would been great but I doubt it . He masters 32 air bending techniques and made his own to get his mastery shit at a young age he got energy bending thanks to the lion turtle and for his self nature he was a bad ass air bender while kora was a lesbo presumptuous bitch ! That's all I gotta say i take aang over kora any day XD
wow i learned so much in this! I particularly liked that bit about the chinese (?) characters written with the logo and the map.
Also, I like Aang so much better, not only because his character has a lot more substance (no offense, Korra), but also because, for a 12-year-old, he's so wise and he handles situations with a level-head and I thought that was interesting.
+nnndaprilster :]
He's 12? I thought he said they changed from 12.
+Rebecca Sosa-Coba he's considered 12 because that's the age he was frozen at but truthfully, Aang is 112 year old, 100 year passing him while we was stuck in game that frozen state Katara and Sokka found him in
Nope, he changed from 10 to 12, Katarra was 12 and she was changed to 14. Sokka changed from 14 to 16.
I wish the creators of the show would make new seasons with the ideas of the comics that would continue where the series end.
There is comics they made u can see them at Google
you mean the airbender in the opening isn't Aang????

Korra can never compare to Aang.
ikr,
cause she has a way better character development
Ma Sa RIGHT???!!!
@@rishavroy3756 Yes, she does. By the end of the series she is no longer headstrong, quick to violence, and cocky, but patient, humble, and sympathetic even to villains. AANG was the one who got everything handed to him. Yeah, Korra could bend three elements as a child - it took her _thirteen_ years to master them and a season to get over her airbending block. Aang tried to waterbend once and already he was better than Katara. The same for fire, and he got over his earthbending block in a DAY.
The biggest evidence of his lack of character development was the finale, where the lion-turtle literally just showed up out of _nowhere_ to grant him the solution to beat Ozai without killing him.
Stfu
@jack slayer Aang had a year to master all four elements and Korra had 17 years to master all elements and yet she nearly dies
@@marktwayne9796 How can you say that? literally just after she lost her bending in the first season (except for airbending ) it was given back to her ,alog with the avatar state. We didn't get to see her change or realize she took bending for granted.I mean even her relationships , there is way to much romance in LOK we didn't have to wait for her to be in a relashinship like Aang and Katara. THere is way to much brakeups and that stuff.
I like the series with ang better I feel like the culture was captured better in the last airbender and legend of korra became too techy and advanced for me it was cool at first but after season 1 I felt like focus was really taken off of the avatar part. The spirits even looked different and the concept of the spirit world changed too. Plus there was more action than character development bc less episodes which made me sad. Just my opinion but avatar felt different after korra. Liked the original better. Was still a cool series tho and loved the music and art.
Plus legend of korra wasn't the same after korra and mokko broke up. Sorry I think I butchered names.
Too much going on in legend of korra
Avatar the last air bender over Legend of Korra anyday.
Aria Why?
...Aria you can never compare a sequel to the original they will never be in the same league. This fact is obvious dude
mohammed ali Korra isn't a sequel.
I WANT AANG BACK AND SOKKA SOOOOOO BADDDDD
Sokka was always so funny
Nr 2 was so long for a while I thought you forgot to change the numbers :P
+Demogorgon White lololool
Kataram? Its katara
I know right #2 💤💤
+Wolf VD24 Sure he is
+Demogorgon White Holy shit I just noticed. It's fuckin more than half the video
Brave Solider Boy.... I'm tearbending
My first language is Cebuano and I freaked out when I found out that "Zuko" was named after "suko", which means mad or angry!
+Julliana Inding cool
Cebuano is a dialect, not a language. How I know, my parent's are both from Cebu, but they call it Bisaya.
+Jkkjer actually cebuano is considered as a language. it is taught to us since highschool up to college
+Jkkjer Its actually a language like Tagalog, Kapampangan, and others.
+Jkkjer Its actually a language like Tagalog, Kapampangan, and others.
I must say, I cant really say that I prefer 1 series over the other. Korra just feels exactly like avatar with a new set of protagonists and a new story, which I dont like either more or less than the previous
That is a compliment to both series' of course, I dont know any series that can hold up such quality over so long time
+red toasti I know exactly what you mean and so much has changed between the time aang was the avatar and korra being the avatar. in korras time everyone knows how to metal, blood bend etc when only a person or two knew how to do each thing the eras are jut two different
+red toasti you are so right in so many ways
+mookie hubbard dont forget lightning bending. I mean only the royal family could do it anng's time and in Legend of korra its a common skill for firebender adults and its used to power the whole damn city! Haha
+I. Thorberg yeah I see what you mean but would some wat they would've found a technique around blood blending meaning be able avoid it in a spiritual way maybe and for metal bending im sure one could teach there self like toph did btw ive never read the comics but will start because theres so much to know thnx
I. Thorberg so you are saying it's the same but it's different?
I just found this out from my art history book!
In the episode when the gaang went to the town where the volcano erupted, but nobody believed it would because the fortune teller lady predicted that wouldn't? And she used cracked bones to tell her predictions.
Well I just read that priests actually did use cracked bones to communicate with the supernatural world, and the cracks in the bones are what inspired shapes for Chinese writing! That's awesome!
I would want Water bending. So much diversity. Ice bending, Gas bending, Water bending, Blood bending. I mean I love the idea about being able to control someone else's body. You could also just make a simple cut in your enemy, and then have all the blood in their body come out of it till they have no blood in it. Or you could simply bend the blood into spikes and impale all of their internal organs. Or just harden it and make a jewel out of it and sell it as a "blood jewel". If none of that works, just bend the blood and stop it from flowing to the brain, they'll just die in 5 seconds. least painful death. Even after they die, their flesh bag can still be used as a puppet. when you think about it. You could also make this indestructable metal armor, put water inside, and use it as a puppet. turn the moisture inside a doll into water and use it to bend and use the doll as a puppet. Then ice. If blood bending isn't already too OP, it has a natural advantage against fire and air. fire cause, water puts out fire. air, because, air has moisture, and you can just turn that into water. If you train hard enough, I betcha you can even conjure the perfect being. Bend water into the shape of a person, and have it fight, and its immortal till you get exhausted. Hell, you can make a giant behemoth out of ice or water. you can even make Gas and shove inside people till they suffocate.
woah that's.. BALLS DEEP MAN!
Bertran Rodriguez - Alvarez
All for the purpose of killing? I'm glad it's only a fantasy.
Le Susie Man's best dream is to have a killling machine beter than anyone elses.
With earth you could turn everything into lava and escape any metal prison or even see through walls
Wow...This is Spirit World deep. 😂😂😂😂😂
I can't decide between water bending and air bending. I also prefer Aang. I couldn't get in to Korra's series and frankly found her annoying.
Undead Ladybug I also can't decide between water and air. Air cause uhm, FLYING. But water is just so darn cool, diverse, can be a tool for fighting and for many other things. And the healing is such a big plus point!
Undead Ladybug You don’t know what you’re missing with Korra. You’re ignorant for passing up that opportunity, just saying.
essennagerry but you have to let go of ur earthly things ppl you love etc
I watched it... You are not missing a lot .... It's not bad... But it's not something great as well.... It's ok ...
@@pramabanerjee2767 It's not a memorable series. It's a meh
I'm sorry but I can never like Korra. I became too attached to Aang and I was sad when I realised that he was dead in the second series. Also I think Korra is a show off and thinks too highly of herself. I just can't like her knowing that Aang is dead
Exactly the same, you pute it in words
Well, ATLA taught me that death is an illusion.
I prefer Aang!
waterbending
why ? because water is literally everywhere. and don't even get me started on bloodbending, I'd be the puppet master.
Yeah, air isn't everywhere like water...
@@jocao2831 Bruh-
Aang had substance and worldly depth. I carry him in the ethereal fabric of my morality.
literally everything about LoK was sooo rushed. it started out great, i was so hype for it. however in its defense A.T.L.A. set the bar very very high. i feel like if they had incorporated more of it into LoK they would have had better ratings. i think we were all craving for more of the original cast members stories in LoK. my most favorite episodes were those about Toph and her family. i really wanted more Sokka in LoK bc he was such a great character. i also loved Tenzin's kids and siblings. LoK was disappointing in that they could have done sooo much better, it was alright, but we all expected it to be as epic as Avatar the Last Airbender. i feel like they didnt commit to the world and tone they already created while creating Korra. this makes me so sad. but it is what it is.
king of hills lol xD
lol
lol
+Phil P lol
lol
lol
AANG
why?
It has a great plot, a lot of motivation, reasons for why Zuko was a villain, etc etc etc. While in the Legend of Korra, it's just her learning how to air bend. There is probably more to it, like the blood bending, but I lost interest after a few episodes.
The only thing Korra did better was the animation quality but that's logical since it's more recent
Alexza Bernandez The legend of Korra had a great plot too and so much potential but Nickelodeon fucked it up when they cut funding and 'caused the creators to rush it. ATLA is legendary and the original thus nothing can compare but TLOK did some things better e.g graphics, the 'villains' were very intricate and season 2 was fucking amazing. Season 3 fucked everything up 'cause it just felt like a filler and the finally battle at the end of the series was infuriating 'cause they sacrificed plot for action. Oh and as much as I appreciate their representation of a marginalised community at the end of the series, I still found the ending stale and boring. Oh and Korra severed all ties to the Avatar's past lives by essentially destroying them. It's up to you what you prefer but overall, ATLA is the original and will forever remain the best in most fans' eyes. You should still watch LOK tho.
Chim Cham sure, when I have the time I'll watch it
Korra is decent, s2-4 are fun s1 is boring
Chim Cham She did what now? Destroyed Aang in a sense? Destroyed the Avatar? What the heck?
Gosh, I almost thought I'd try going forth with the second season. I watched the first then dropped it. Good decision.
just saying this now you guys forgot to add the fact that Zutara was actually supposed to be a cannon shiping in the show but they took it out because Nickalodion wanted to go with the Cleche of the Hero getting the girl AND WENT WITH KATAANG!! sorry i ship Zutara so yeah
Thinking about it Zutara wouldnt have been to baf
yeah
+Abbygail Culbertson Lame as shit. Good thing Nickoleodiani knows whats up. Aang+Toph would had been awesome though.
omarct wait did you call me Lame as shit
thanks
Genuinely interesting to watch, much better than most countdowns (first one I've seen on this channel)
There's loads I learned that you can't get from the series alone. I like the way you packed all the character facts into one point, I thought I was getting 10 and it's a nice surprise!
+Cam Brown thanks :D
+Anime Balls Deep one question....what are you always chuckling at? lol
+Orion3k Same :')
I would want earthbending because it's pretty much everywhere and it looks very useful
also if you master it and get the right mindset and everything as an Airbender, you can fly
i would like to bend water. water is everywhere too and i like water. but about that earth being everywhere thing, wouldn't you destroy streets and stuff if you started bending earth? it's not like in avatar where most of the ground is just rock.
well if you only look at those points then why don't you want to ben fire or air? you can do that at any time.
I'd wanna water bend
me too, there is a ton of water where i live.
Aang is my favorite. Prob because it's more familiar to me. Korra. I watched some of the episodes but never really got into it.
Wolf Girl You don’t know what you’re missing.
Wolf Girl I watched some episodes of korra and it is trash
yeah wasn't really into it -_-
fuck korra, I want another aang avatar
I honestly need in my life right now is either a new series of Avatar, a new season of ATLA or a new movie that is done right!!!
I refuse to watch the legend od korra because of my zuko nothing can top zuko.
even though zuko is in it?
Zuko shows up but as a Retired Fire Lord and can still kick ass. His Grandson is also the Commander of Republic City's Navy who is named "Iroh" after Zuko's Uncle and bares a striking resemblance to Zuko and Aids Korea after she saves him.
Julie Ann Anderson Yeah I was so Confused at first when I first saw and heard him.
Vocal Tune Korea? North or south? XD
+Yami Assassin Salazar I think they meant Korra
We need more Avatar. I have seen and read everything now I don't know what to do... ahhhh!!!
Love the intro you guys really outdone yourselves and you are always improving your videos

Anime Balls Deep only saying the truth man :)
+Almonzer Fayyadh I always thought it was monk Giatso (Aang's teacher)
+Anime Balls Deep how do i find the manga can you send a link plz thanks
naruto uzumaki hey there is an app called a+ manga its on android you could check it out if you want its for free it has 90% of all manga
I binge watched Avatar a few days ago, and I hardly remember it xD I think I'm going to binge watch it again... This show is really great.
man, the worst is the sad feeling after i binge watch avatar, probably have to watch it again xD
Anh Den Avatar, Game of Thrones, and Lost are shows I could probably re watch forever lol.
I like Aang best, but Korra is cool in a different way.
caitlin venable Korra makes me mad because the creator said Korra was meant to be Bisexual (Lesbian)
This makes me admire the show even more.
Obviously aang is better in everyway korra excluding the first season only solves problems that she caused.
I would want to blood bend.....and I would choose ang simply because we no more about him from when he is a child to an adult and he is way stronger just saying do you guys remember when he fought the fire Lord total chaos
He was in the Avatar State throughout that though. As for bending skills, Korra was way stronger. You ever seen her water bend?
Yeah the avatar state that korra later completely fucks up because she's a moron(excluding season one of course she was awesome then) better every other season I just wanted her to stop messing everything up
+CJ Nicosia well if she went avetar state she would beet ang cous she ould have all of his strangthe but ang is way better at using it cus he is more connected ith the sperit world sory for bad spelling
+CJ Nicosia I think Korra isn't an idiot. The reason she gets beat again and again and again is that Aang had several things going for him during the last airbender books.
Aang had the advantage of knowing more about his enemies than his enemies knew about him. He knew almost from the very beginning that he would have to face the fire lord, and trained every day for that meeting. Getting combat experience from frequent encounters with the fire nation. Who conveniently only attacked him with forces and in ways that were right in his team Avatar's stretch zone. And whenever the team was presented with a no win situation they could always fly off on a bison (that was nearly impossible to catch at the time).
Korra on the other hand had to deal with opponents who appeared suddenly, and immediately had techniques, plans, or technology tailor made to completely overwhelm korra's team Avatar. Whereas Aang had almost a year to prepare for the confrontation with the big boss. Korra is lucky if she could even get a month or so to prepare for her opponents. Even when she does have prep time her team was almost always split up for one reason or another. Aangs was almost constantly on call. Additionally since korra was trying to protect a city she couldn't afford to run or hide from enemies that clearly outclassed her. Forcing her into no win situations that ended up in her getting her butt handed to her several times over.
Finally Aang almost never had to deal with politics. While Aang was fighting like some French resistance guy in WW2. Korra was trying to slog through conflicts more akin to the Vietnam war. Aang almost always had the people behind him. Korra on the other hand had to fight to stay in there good graces, and was severely limited by the machinations of the states she protected.
+xertris Well said ^^
the airbender in the intro is Aang
Thank you!! This guys a dumb ass
I always thought it was aang when he was older.
I personally thought it was monk gyatso
Maybe younger version or older than he was when Roku when learning airbending
The Airbender ins't Aang. It's just some random dude. Look it up.
Looks a lot like an older Aang as in the Legend of Korra flashbacks. I might have mixed this up with Korra but I saw that sequence as a homage to the past avatars so it made sense to include the current one. Makes more sense than including a character that isn't in the series anyway.
I would pick earth because earth benders can have good defense because they can make walls of stone and their offense is good because you can trap ur opponent and u can bend up rocks and throw it at them or you make a stone block underneath them causing them to get thrown in the air and tumble
Rexz Bharlie and metal bend
Rexz Bharlie Imo air it's so op think about it. You put out fires, push away water, and medium sized rocks. Also you can gilde, jump high, and run uber fast.
Cyborg2waffles And fly!
Who needs to fly when you can hop on a ball of spinning air?
Air nomad boy showed in the openening scene is Monkyatsu younger version.
+Syahmi Abdul Majid Monk Gyatso?
NSissyfour yes gyatso
young gyatso has a much rounder face
Aang hands down. The air bender series was THE story to watch unfold. Korra is simply a cartoon.
I have too many detailed issues with Korra to wriye here. Let me just say that the last air bender truly offered a journey worth following.
It is a crying shame that M Night Shamelon and friends failed to honor the cartoon with a collector's item worthy trilogy.
I want a book that states every Avatar and their personalities, published by the creators of ATLA and LoK. I think it would be pretty interesting. Who's with me?
Sokka is Funny Bolin is not.
+sonic55193 A meme was more precise: Sokka became funny, Bolin was and became lousy. (it continues with all the other main characters how they had a negative character development)
so easily aang over korra
Guys, Avatar is not an Anime
go Fuck yourself, weaboo
Still a good show
In Japan, they consider anything that's animated as anime including Family Guy and the Simpsons. Panty & Garter belt ( Sorry for the misspelling) doesn't look like the 'traditional anime' style, but is considered anime. AtLA looks has a 'traditional anime' style, but is considered a cartoon. AtLA is an anime in my book
+Cats Exactly. AtLA has a Japanese style of art while P&GB has more a Western style of art.
Ikr
i just finished watching the series (after only watching a few episodes as a kid) yesterday and cried. i fell in love with all the characters and seeing them grow was so emotional. zuko's character development made him one of the most memorable characters in history for me. everyone needs to watch this series- literally everyone. it's adorable, quirky, action-packed, dramatic, and full of life. i'm currently reading the comics and will start korra as soon as i'm done, but i know it won't compare to atla.
the song isnt called little soldier boy. its leaves from the vine.
Legend of Korra isn't as good because it feels like it has to lean too much on the old jokes and refferences of the original, rather than create new ones. I also feel like it takes itself too seriously sometimes. So much emotional drama. Along with the fact they don't travel the world like Aang did the whole thing just feels cramped to me. Maybe I can relate too much to the westerness of Korra so it feels like I know it too well for the culture to be interesting.
Sierra Davis Everything in Avatar felt so natural and real. One of its best features.
Sierra Davis I
I believe Aang is better than Korra, although she has much more relatable problems, she acts too fast, and is reckless . Aang has a great sense of humour, and a sad backstory. To compare these qualities is hard on Korra, as she is very rash.A better comparison would be Bolyn ( not sure if I spelt that right), and Soka.Soka, although stupid, he is actually one of the characters that is well loved, due to his great sense of humour , and making him a non bender makes him who he is. Whereas Bolyn, yes has practically the same backstory, but is a little bit more dramatic and gets himself into stupid situations. Toff is fantastic, and has a sense of wry humour. She commands respect and is a great teacher to Aang.
Lil' Pachirisu Sokka stupid? He was the brain behind every major plan, he even invented stuff like the submarine.
Was gonna say this, Sokka is shown as one of the smartest characters in the show, with his inventions and plans, hes an idiot sometimes but idiocy and stupidity are two very different things
Lil' Pachirisu Soka wasn't stupid at all. He was the comic relief which is why his personality was a bit more goofy but he was actually the man with the master plan most of the time.
For real? Sokka was deadass the brains of the group and one of the smartest characters in both series
Sokka straight up invented a submersible steam engine to launch a sneak attack on the most powerful navy in the world.
At the age of 12. (13?)
So you know. There's that.
I really need those graphic novels.
That will be all.
Also I finished the entire show in three days
THERE ARE SO MANY EMOTIONS HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE

Also, Earth Bending because it is literally just better than all of the other elements, hands down. It's OP as fuck and way more useful in everyday scenarios. Although, due to it's healing capabilities, water is REALLY close on the list.
Well the strongest element is by far waterbending. But I dont care... FIRE IS THE BEST!
Water bending by day
.. blood bending by night
... U have no match for blood bending
FaLLeN Technically, 99.9% of all water benders who are even capable of blood bending can only do that on the full moon. So, that power isn't really part of the comparison, in my opinion.
I am not sure of tat cause when katara was hunting her mom's killer she used blood bending on fire nation officer.... Also in legend of Kora blood bending was common
FaLLeN It was not common to be able to do that in Korra, it was very rare and scary to everyone. Only very specific characters who were freakishly powerful water benders have ever been able to do that. It's not a normal thing they can do.
Do legend of korra next :D
he did Korra already. not in the sexual way, but in the video topic way.
10 things you didnt know video?
+Sun Jetzu yep
LOK sucks
Am i the only one who just want a whole new avatar series about the avatar after Korra? And then it should not take place in republica, which i hated about The legend of Korra....
+Vareus 安东尼 same
...And that Avatar has a quest to wander the spirit world to assemble the severed Avatar state at some point.
I would be an airbender
being able to fly, never having to pay for air-conditioning and the pure amount of pranks I can do with it are limitless :3
People who think Avatar is an anime are stupid. Anime comes from Japanese animation. If it's not Japanese it's not anime.
anime is a style of animation. doesnt matter where its from, its like saying abstract art is not art... as long as it follows the rules of the style regardless where its from it is considered anime. quick fact anime is short for animation lol but it has become a style of animation.
The air bender seems kinda obvious, it looks exactly like Aang.
I think he looks like the teacher of aang (Gyatso maybe)
Anime Mage Most air benders looks the same, so you can't confirm that it is aang.
+ reformed desire - While that is true, his body structure seems the same, thin arms, same with legs, height. No beard or moustache seen, so this isn't someone with a beard.
I pick Aang. His character was really funny and the story was 50x better than the legend of korra
At the end zuko said, “a year ago, my destiny was to find and capture you” which means that the whole series takes place in one year.
AB-Deep: First of all, wonderful video! As a writer and published author, it is part of my job to keep up on everything - particularly anything with television shows, books, and movies. You are very knowledgeable - thus, you have earned my subscription!
Most of those facts are well known to fans of the series - especially the martial arts styles for each nation. I like that you really did your homework on the creators backstory and some of their influences. All the shows you listed are really good as well. Which one is your favorite?
Did you know that The Boulder is voiced by none other than WWE Wrestling Legend Mick Foley? I liked the facts on Toff and did not know that she was originally supposed to be a he. I personally like the fact that most of Aang's teachers and companions are women, as it forces him to truly explore and accept his emotions and feelings before engaging in battle. I adored both Zuko and Azula as characters - the really are the yin and yang of fire (ie: The Creation and Destruction Cycles of Taoism). See the links below:
taoism.about.com/od/cosmology/a/Cosmology.htm
scienceofstrategy.org/main/content/creation-and-destruction-sun-tzus-elements
Also, it is important to note that each of the Five Elements - Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Metal - each have two corresponding colors to represent their places in both the Creation and Destruction Cycles. This may be reflective in the costumes each of the characters wear, but this could be up for discussion. The colors are listed below, with the first being Yin and the second as Yang:
Water (White & Black)
Metal (Gold and Silver)
Fire (Red and Purple)
Air (Yellow and Orange)
Earth (Green and Blue)
So next time you hear about colors "clashing" when you pick out the wrong colors, now you know where it comes from and why!
Have a Nice Day! :)

I would like to be waterbender :D You not only can defend yourself with the power of water, you can heal!
I have been watching the last avatar for a long time so aang. I like the best TEAM AANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Air because you could just blow away water, redirect fire, and sever an earthbenders connection to the ground.
So what happened to Zukos mother? I really don't care of someone spoils it I just really want to know.
she moved on
MRDZ Entretainment moved onn..... she got another husband? What's that supposed to mean?
CASE got it in the first try... Yes, I'm sketchy on the details, but it was the deal between her, firelord azulon, and second born son ozai
MRDZ Entretainment so she just ran away after being exiled and got another husband? How did Zuko react to that?
read the comics online, i already know :D
I would want earth bending because it seems the most useful and does the most damage.
Water - it's basically splashing water
Wind - ah... it seems very weak.
Fire - I don't want to burn my house.
Aang is better. Korra is annoying. WHY THE HELL DOES SHE KNOW 3 ELEMENTS IN THE AGE OF 5?! (or something close to 5).
Water: Blood bending but besides that water has the most practical use. If you are out trying to survive, you could pull water from plants to drink or drinkable water from dirty or tainted water. You can also heal with water should you get injured. Wind: Its not that its weak; it just serves a different purpose. It allows you to avoid fighting all together. Let's say someone is trying to hurt you. With the other elements you have to worry about wither you're stronger than your attacker. With airbending it doesn't matter because they can't hit what they can't catch. Fire: It has more raw power than any other element including Earth but yes with that power comes a price and you could very well burn your house down.
+Brokenwingedheart yeah but you can remove dirt particles from the dirty water with earth bending
I'd choose earth but your logic sucks. More then 70% of the Earth is water. There's also water EVERYWHERE. And control is a key with fire bending. Bruh
I. Thorberg I didn't know that being selfish and arrogant means that a character is relatable.
+I. Thorberg lol you say wise and smarter yet she can't switch her fighting style even when she's losing
What about the bear? The one that got eaten by the last earth queen? There must be a story behind it since it's the only normal animal.
Hazim Jamli
The animals which are normal are an exotic type of animals in this world. But the bear isn't the only one.
Katar: "Just Bear"
Toph: "This place is weird."
i love both legend of korra and legend of aang, i preffer legend of aang regarding the setting and the fact that everyone seems much more powerful, i also like azula which you obv Miss in legend of korra, but i also like legend of korras setting as well as i preffer the action and plots a little more because its all a little more mature,
besides that amon and zaheer are just badass , the only think i dont like about legend of korra is that the structure is always similar: korra meets person, person wants do do sth and needs korras help, her friends tried to warn her, she turns them down, person turns out evil, korra finds out and is sorry but then makes it
