I really appreciate the way you edited the music in the video. The volume is turned down whenever you switch to the underwater camera, and turned back up when you switch to above the surface. It really gives a certain depth to the production, and is highly underrated!
Hey Marty, I'm just now seeing this one ( May 30, 2015 ) . Really glad I caught it, the fishing was great ! I Learned about " Frog Toggs " . I usually don't care for loud music on fishing shows but that piano jazz was so smooth . . . . sweet brother, sweet ! The underwater shots were awesome too ! Thank YOU sir !

Marty first of all, man you have really inspired me to do more fishing from my kayak. I'm also in the Tampa Bay area, St Pete area actually, so it is so cool to see places I recognize in your videos. Thanks largely to your inspiration and advice I landed my first Sheepshead yesterday in the bay at Anna Maria Island. Geez that was fun. My dog, Maggie, goes with me and she'll growl and bite Red Fish and Trout but she's scared to death of those hillbilly teeth on the Sheepshead 😊
Anyway, thanks for inspiring me to be better and helping equip me to accomplish that. I truly appreciate you.

One thing I loved as a kid fishing in Florida are the way those Mangrove Snapper pulls. Tight lines and another awesome video!

FrogTogs tend to tear. That said they are very light, compact, and cheap. I've tried to use them for motorcycling and the wind alone will tear them. That doesn't apply to kayaking though.

I have fished in that canal so many times with my grandpa. It is so nice seeing you fish these spots on the TB estuaries and in the alafia river area/ williams park bridge... Great underwater footage Marty. I agree, raining or not, when you gotta fish...you gotta fish! All the fish seeked cover under the bridge, when it rained. Lol! And you were there ready for action. All kidding aside, I find that fishing sometimes picks up when it begins raining.

Hey Marty I've been watching your channel now for about a week, first time I get to see the amazing videos you put out. Thank you so much. Man this gives me a huge inspiration one of the main reasons why I'm finally moving back to Florida to stay with my father and my sisters but your videos make me appreciate what life has to give keep making videos brother you're doing an amazing job there's not one video I don't like I'm hooked on your channel hopefully when I get down there we can go fishing together I have a long history of building boats and I hope we can exchange ideas. I'm already thinking about getting a boat but now you got me hooked on kayaks I think I'll do both

I've always wondered why sheepshead were so hard to catch. Little bastards are clever enough to avoid larger, more obvious hooks, and they sit at the bait and pick it apart carefully rather then gulping it down and running with it like reds, trout, snook etc. You've given me a few ideas about fishing for them now. Thanks a ton, keep it up.
Good video Marty, real nice audio and editing. Hope you do more underwater video, I was surprised how smart the sheepheads were. The pigeons made me laugh, I knew a girl that told me the fish were always bigger under bridges that had pigeons.

Marty that snapper you caught. We call them Mangrove Jacks over here in Australia. They take lures and white bait..............especially white bait dead or alive. The best result I had was using a fish we call Whiting. It's a sand dwelling bottom feeder that varies in size. Either put it on a hook whole, or cut him up. Prawns are also good, the livelier the better.

Marty, what a great vid. These truly are better and better. A wealth of info and entertainment as well. Fish those sheepsheads with a # 6 circle hook and you'll increase your catch 10 fold. Can't wait till the next one.

That was amazing footage. Really good work. This is something you'd expect to see on TV, man. Those sheepshead were so careful not to bite the hook...especially the larger ones. It could have been my imagination, but I swear they literally rolled their eyes down to look at it as they nibbled. I would try a smaller hook, dude, or maybe larger crab. I'm still learning a lot but I noticed the bigger ones bite when there's little to no light. So you might want to try night fishing that bridge for sure.

Great footage man. It was eye opening too. We have a lot of sheepshead here in La. I had no idea that many could hang out near a struggling crab, and not have instinctual bite, like “I better eat it before my brother does” race to it mentality.
