The good news I’m financially ready to go the bad news. I’m in the worst shape of my life and I have a hard time fixing it.
I understand
I believe in you
No more carbs and alcohol
You want to live !
Oh brother another amazing video. Can't thank you enough for the information you put out. Also love the way that no matter where you are at you make it seem like it's the place to be!
I appreciate this feedback!
Thank you
4:50 just buy moped or kapcai in malaysia and zipped around just like @smallbikestuff did. You got more milage to cover every corner of the rainforest
I’m nervous on those in Asia haha
I understand what you are saying though :-)
@@RetireandGo dont be you will be doin just fine. Grab some tent and google any plentiful camp site all over malaysia from the beaches to the city, waterfall and mountain, we had it all
yes, last year a metal base crown from Hawaii from many years ago chiped. Had it replaced with a zirconia- excellent work was just over US$400
Outstanding
I appreciate you commenting with this information
Living the life man! Great video again. I have a flight to KL next week and looking forward to it
Oh wow !
That’s great
You will love it
KL is the new .. New York
The food is good there but expensive, they add 10% service fee.
I’m seeing that more now
Fees and taxes
Ugh . Oh well, eat the street cart food ! It’s fresh
@@RetireandGo Yep, as long as people go there they will keep up the price.
Mahalo for the great post,
I might add a couple of things to your List:
Concerns about onward ticketing and immigration: (now becoming a thing with immigration) If you're like us, retired and not having a set itinerary, read up on the internet how to address the issue. One idea is to book a low cost airline refundable ticket, AirAsia is an option. Right now were in Bali, Other suggested booking a ferry ticket from Indonesia to Singapore. $25, refundable. No big deal if I can't get the refund back.
Another item I never travel without, Travel size Gold Bond foot powder. Have done quite a bit of motorcycling overland. NOTHING works as well for the dreaded ‘Monkey butt’. You will be so happy if you are in need. Also the best stuff for foot ailments. Remember “take care of your feet” Especially when we get older, infection in the feet can quickly lead to life threatening issues. Especially in S.E. Asia. The wet stuff you're walking in sometimes contains raw sewage.
A Hui Hou,
Maybe someday well cross paths
Thank you for this information!
Great job
I hope to enjoy Bali this year as well
Welcome to Malaysia!
As a suggestion for you, if you haven't yet done so, consider a future trip to the archipelago of Langkawi. The views from the mountain after having taken the cable car are just incredible, and you will have memories that will last a life time.
Stay healthy and safe always!
That does sound amazing
I appreciate the information!
Another great video! I'm excited to come along with you. Stay safe 👍
Nice! A whole world to explore ahead
Aloha. Too bad you will be leaving Thailand and I will be coming to Thailand soon. So, no expect to run into you, huh. 🤣. Looking forward to watching your next location. I will check this location to get some stuff to bring back USA. Aloha!
Oh yes always visiting a new location
It keeps my retirement interesting
Otherwise I just sit in one place haha
Oh you are traveling to Thailand? That is great !
Thanks for sharing. I also love KL. Love the mad dogs touch ;-)
Yes watch out for them mad dawgs :-)
Keen foot ware is top notch, eating well only helps, Costa Rica is number 1 for dental, had a bit done there in my life. You only improve with each video brother, PEACE!!!
Oh interesting!
I enjoyed Costa Rica early this year
I will have to remember this about dental thank you
Happy to see you in Malaysia, but sad I will not meet you in person in Pattaya. 😢
Malaysia is wonderful
I think Bangkok and KL are very livable and walkable
I have those Keen sandals!!! THE BEST 😍
How would you compare Pattaya to Chaing Mai for digital nomads/expats?
Pattaya has many low priced hotels and rooms
Chiang Mai is cooler I think that helps
Chiang Mai has a nice walking area in old town
Finding strong WiFi for nomad work is key
After a lifetime of travel l to use a cabin backpack plus 2 side handles wheels and pull out extension, foldable scissors (no custom problems) pocket ripstop backpack (for shopping) a tiny packamac and a 1 inch bedside torch to name a few🔦🛍️🌞
I love all this information
Thank you !
Appreciated
You prepare just in time. Today Thailand is raining, I heard both Pattaya and Bangkok are raining today and the weather is quite breezing.
Yeah the rain comes while I’m walking sometimes
I need quick dry clothing and shoes
Really good vlog very interesting and informative , I've been Thailand 5 times now so I'm going to Malaysia in December to spend Christmas and New Year have a great time and live the dream.
You are doing it right !
Keep us updated on the next trip
You deserve it
@@RetireandGo Sure will got to leave UK now it's finished take care and good luck
Nice looking forward for the next video! What is the Hotel address or website and how do you like it after saying for a few days?
Sutus court is available through the travel apps
Great rates
Central location
Got my haircut and teeth cleaned in Danang Vietnam and it was $10usd. Today in Madrid, I paid $16 for a haircut plus $2 tip
Awesome prices
Thank you for this information
Hi there. Always enjoy your videos. I'm planning on coming during low season and I'm interested in PAI. When your back in Thailand would love to see your input if you have not been.keep up the good work😃
Thank you so much
I should be going through Thailand a few more times this year
It’s my home base
BEST video of yours I've seen so far. PACKED with info, I took about 20 screenshots for reference. LOVE when you specify the gear...I'm sold on the Keens for example. Would love the exact terminology for your shorts I couldn't find them ( with all those pockets).
Thank you so much
Yes the shorts are O’Neil TRVLR expedition
I’ll pin a comment on it
I appreciate this question
You look so alive always, The haircut is incredible. Take care, love the spork. Lol. Great little dual use item. Thinking maybe a little headlamp for nighttime walks. Or a cool bushwacker foldable hat with a screen for bugs. 😊
The screen sounds like a great idea
Do you hike Asia ?
We are up on 136 acres on a mountain top, we hike local, on the land but..we are heading to Thailand for 2 weeks in August. First time Thailand traveler's. @@RetireandGo
I travel with an osprey 30 liter backpack whether I’m gone a week or 6 months. I used to wear keen sandals but found they make your feet stink. Not sure why?
I love the osprey line of products
I owned one for almost 20 years
Hiked all over with it
I miss those massages! I got one every day when I visited Thailand.
I understand
Very therapeutic
I love my Keen hiking sandal's, best part is the strong toe protection area. My 1st pair lasted 3 years first place to break was one of the straps across the top that attach to the sole, luckily I was in a fishing village in Nicaragua, and payed a fisherman to stitch it back together, lasted 3 more months. My new pair the only thing that I do not like is the stitching on the heel area rubs me raw. I hope it softens up. Safe travels.
I agree!
That toe protection has saved me !
Three years!! That’s awesome
I switched to allbirds. The ones I have are waterproof and very comfortable
Thank you for this !
I always appreciate gear information
Travelling all the way to Southeast Asia with one backpack is outstanding. I’m clearly not as advanced as you are. I need to figure out how to do that and how many litres of a backpack do you take? Is it a 40 or bigger?
you will be able to do this. its a 26 liter i think ? its not large. SEA is hot and humid. two shorts, three light shirts, ball cap, sandals that are walking ready. one bag of toiletries and chargers for your phone. go
First of all, Pattaya, Thailand can be hot, but it's not as hot as you think. I'd say it's always perfect beach weather unless it rains. It never rains much when I'm there. Second, you don't have to buy these sandals. Sneakers, socks, and shorts are actually better when you're doing a lot of walking. Personally, when I wear sandals, which is not much, I wear Tevas.
Thank you for the feedback
Have a good day
these prices are always such a culture shock!!!!! thanks for always including the prices for everything in your videos!!! so many people dont do it its ridiculous! take me to the kingdom LOL
You are welcome
I’m trying to remember to put them in haha
Make sure you can carry on all of your recent purchased items through airport without problems
Good point
That is part of one backpack travel
No purchases
Or small, very small haha
Right on bro! Keep it up! You help so many🙏🏼
Very kind of you thank you
Have a great week
Let's go Let's grow 🎉
I agree !
It’s grow time !
I've been to KL once and it was OK, but I really liked the KL Bird Park.
Yes that whole park complex is so beautiful
Just bought my 1st pair of Keen in Bangkok. Love them.
Outstanding ! Yes I do love them
They are top quality
I learned the hard way about not protecting my feet
I be there in June and will check it out.
Another great vlog,thanks very much🎉
You are most welcome
Thank you and have a great day !
Aloha💛, ready to go is always exciting, opens up new pleaserful adventures and maybe some not so nice as well ..
Thank you for this information
I agree taking care of your feet is so important
Thanks for video on packing
Absolutely
I hope it helps get your gear up to ready state
$15 for that cordon blue is excessive IMHO!
It’s a little more pricey than most of my meals here true
Have a great trp. Stay safe.
Thank you for this
All the best to you
@@RetireandGo next Danang!! Awesome!!
@@brucesnyder690 it looks good !
Great video. Informative, to the point, always interesting point of view.
Thank you so much
Have a great week
Love your channel! Excellent presentation and meaningful conversations. How do you book your flight, without having to buy a “return ticket”!!? Thank you 🙏🏽
I recommend having a return or onward flight booked and three days in a hotel to land and arrive in
Great info on gear!! Will get those Keen's walking with sneakers can be hot there😅
You will really enjoy the quality
Looking forward to seeing Malaysia.
Absolutely
I enjoy bringing these beautiful places to you

Oh yes he is in the area as well true !
I want to go to Chiang Mai this year also
It’s so nice

Yes that’s really sweet
Easy to live low cost in Malaysia

thanks for another cool video!! im a los angeleno, americana and OH MY GOSH my first trip to thailand is going to be focused on getting my teeth cleaned!! $3000, for a tooth vs $450 in Thailand!? is it like, you just make an appointment and go? i broke my toe 2 months ago and have yet to get a primary doctor to look at me here in the great USA!
Outstanding
Check out Pattaya international dental center
Heading to Malaysia in late April 2025. First time.
Oh this is wonderful
I’m very glad you are going
It’s a nice place to travel to
So how was it?
Great video 🎉 could you add gym reviews? Just an idea 💡 I sure it would give you more video content 😊
Hmm interesting
Gym reviews
That could be your channel !
You go to different countries and go to gyms , fitness events
I like how you show the prices
Thank you I’m trying to show as much as I can :-)
Have a great day
Thoughts on worth adding a pair of hair clippers to someone's minimalist pack? I personally prefer to buzz cut my own hair every week especially in that heat.
Not a bad idea
A little rechargeable clipper
How do u got from the bus to centre world? By bts or taxi?
That is $3 by scooter or it’s a one hour walk
I walk
But my backpack is light
Hey man, love the content! Wondering if you could help me out with a Visa question? Im coming to Bangkok for the first time on a 30 day visa exemption from the U.S. Im staying for 6 weeks so i understand I'll need to extend this. Im also traveling to Vietnam after 2 weeks. Do i need to get the extra Visa entry stamp (because I'm only allowed 1 entry) or will going to Vietnam for 7-10 days allow me to enter Thailand again on a Visa exemption? Appreciate any help. Thank you!
First don’t overstay your Thailand stay
Get the extension taken care of early so you don’t forget
You can re enter Thailand by air often but not so much by land
Thank you
How many appointment (or days) does it take for the tooth crown?
One week if you want cubic zirconia
It’s worth it
$460 !!

I've been checking out your videos for a few months. Booked a trip to Thailand in October and I'm looking forward to it. I've checked the SouthEast Asia visa requirements for Canadians, and I always see they say they sometimes ask for proof of funds. Have you ever been asked for that? Do you know what kind of proof they are looking for? Do you need to log into your online banking in front of them?
For Canadians I’m not sure
I think if you get this sorted out you should start a social media presence to explain to Canadians what you find out !
Dont worry about all that...if you do youll never leave home!
With this haircut you are ready to join the service again 😂
Yes true haha
So nice in this heat !
How many ladies have fallen in love withnyou there so far?
Haha none :-)
Have a good day !
