I played the violin for about a 10 month to a year. That was about 7 years ago..... (I was in one of your chrismas videos). Im now going to try and learn it again. I have forgotten pretty much everything(notes, how to tune, ect) BUT one thing. I still know were to place my fingers. I'm guessing like what you said "Muscle memory". Hopefully I can stick with it this time.
i played violin in middle school for two and a half years but sadly moved to a school who didn't have that program and i haven't been able to pick up a violin since, and i'm 20 years old now but i'm sooo excited to pick it back up again
Hi you will be OK. I've just started playing again after 37 years and it's coming back much faster than I thought ,Alison is right ,I'm 64 now and wish I'd never given up for so long ,you are young don't worry you will probably enjoy your playing more after you return to playing,

Good to know. I started playing the violin in October and was making good, steady progress practicing at least three times a week but since April I’ve only gotten my violin out about three times due to a combination of being busy and the nice weather. I’m looking forward to getting back to it properly once things settle down again. I love your videos.

Been playing over 40 years. Unfortunately i can go easily 6 months without picking it up. The main reason for this is that i don't enjoy playing on my own. A new found world renowned acoustic guitar player is giving me some inspiration. I'm not picking it up though. Frustrating.
