  • Little did Harry Kewell know that when he scored in a 3-2 loss against Brisbane Roar for Melbourne Victory, that it would plant the seed for future Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou to take his fellow Aussie to Glasgow with him a decade later.
Here, the former Liverpool and Leeds star, now coaching at Celtic, details what it's like to work with Postecoglou on a daily basis.

Spurs fans who are sceptical about AP's ability to man manage big players need to watch this. Harry was a stellar talent and the respect he shows for AP gives a clue to how he can transform a mindset from entitlement to a winning mentality. TBH it's what we need at Spurs.

Glad I ran across this. It reinforces what struck me about Ange, at Spurs, right away. He knows exactly what he wants, tells his players what he expects, and this adds a little for me about how the people working for him feel in return.

Until our supreme leader Kim Yong Levy is gone i seriously doubt much will change, if he was about to change tactics on transfers etc he would surely have reappointed Pochettino. Still the football should be much better to watch but don't go getting your hopes up with baldy in charge.

As an aussie football supporter for almost 30 years in the NSL, A-League and national, I must admit I've always liked Harry. Can't ever blame the bloke from not being as passionate as can be and has been quite humble with the management phase of his football life. The expectations on the guy when he was a young trailblazer were ridiculous, but everyone was so happy for him when he was in lethal form at Leeds. Hoped he would be unplayable at Liverpool too. I was in turkey and went to watch Galatasaray play in 2008 and he was there and you could tell he was just loving the latter years of his career there. Fans loved him, chanting his name and he was loving being on the pitch. I was really happy for him. Scored a goal at the Ali Sami Yen that day too. Bravo Harry 👍

celtics and rangers or at the least just the celtics should be allowed into the epl because the rest of the teams are so much worse and are at a similar level as each other in scotland. EPL should be a uk league and it'd be a much stronger league and for the region as a whole in regards to international results if the best clubs from each country in the UK would join. it would still be majority of english teams, but will include 1-2 best clubs from other countries in the uk. similar to a-league where they have majority australian teams but took the 2 best new zealand clubs.
if celtics keep it up for the next couple years they defs should be in epl. the whole scottish league would be totally boring to watch knowing who will be the cup winners every fkin year.

Postecoglou is a joke. His tenure included three straight losses in the 2014 WC finals, conceding 9 and scoring 3. He was satisfied with that performance. He managed to qualify for the 2018 WC on the strength of winning 50% of his games with a set up that leaked goals and usually within the first 10 minutes of the game. He then bottled it and left the team without a coach for 2018. Spurs are going down because this will be the first time Postecoglou has been responsible for a team at this level with no easy games. As apposed to Celtic where there were no hard ones, apart from the Champions League where of course he didn't win a match.
