    YES - We have to take a look at this in Return Feed Season 2!

      Ooooh season 2… the suspense. The series has helped me work out a no frills solution for behind the goal footage using an old iPhone using VDOninja

    We have already been using this in production events and it works great! We have just been pushing audio over Dante instead of loop back. The M1 basic Mac is handling it like a champ!

    I ordered an M1 mini, eight port Decklink, Atem Extreme SDI and a rack mount Sonnet TB enclosure as soon as this was announced. Also ordered a Midas M32c to run Dante audio mixing duties. Incredible capabilities for the price. ZoomISO for the win!

    This is great. You may recall that when you did your series with John Barker I was saying what about Zoom ISO. It is great that the new version has solved a few of the issues and that it looks like the real deal. Thanks for sharing this demo with us all

    great video! been using this for 2 years fantastic, had a bit of stuttering with m1 mac mini after 4 outputs (limit is going to be 8 outputs), but upgraded the 2nd year to a m2 mac mini no worries. same external Sonnet Enclosure and a decklink quad2 card in use both times

    A higher level (simpler) view of this use case would help me. As in “you need this if you want to…”. Also can you speak to the zoomISO pricing? I’m not sure which level of zoom membership one needs to access this and/or which level of zoomISO one needs, lite or Pro?

    Appreciate the video. We have been looking for a really good solution to do this. How do you manage the panelist interacting with each other, is that left to the native Zoom meeting?
    We have been using Zoom Webinar to do the large events and left it to Zoom for switching back and forth between remote panelist, this does work but we have limited to no control over the panelist in this scenario.
    As we live stream to a Zoom webinar, I guess having all our panelist in a separate Zoom meeting with Zoom ISO will give us all the production control, then we can take that produced feed and stream it to the enterprise Zoom Webinar.
    We are in the middle of updating our control room with a new Ross Ultrix Carbonite FR2 and want to include the Zoom ISO setup in the design.

    Ryan, do you have any recommmendations on a safe way to record the ISO outputs ? I do use vmix pro to do this, but I donot find the ISO recording in vmix reliable.

    • @RyanSomerfield
      @RyanSomerfield  Před rokem +1

      Depends on my setup, for software i record using NDI monitor the feeds (multiple instances open) or if using hardware go to a decklink card and hyperdecks/atem mini extreme iso. nothing is fool proof, i generally do 2x full setups on different internets for redundancy :)

      Unfortunately I have no say in that.. but on the contrary it’s nice to have more apps for Mac! I am about to build a PC pretty much entirely to get SDI out of teams for my clients who require teams.. it’s a pain! But it seems zoomiso is pretty well tied into the Mac hardware/software.. it may come to pc?? but I have no insider knowledge at all on that at all.

      @@RyanSomerfield Andy Carluccio from Liminal talked on OfficeHours about the choice to make ZoomISO reliant on Apple Silicon - there is no equivalent to those video capabilities in Intel at present. The guys from QLab said same thing in their recent OH appearance - Apple Silicon is ridiculously good.
