  • @nickthewizardkillercooper8021

    Remove the coolant lines and bypass them water will get past that o ring and short the stepper motor then the ecm

    i have to rev the engine in the mornings for my car to stay on. Do you think i need to replace the iacv or just clean it ?

      @steagathebeach Před 8 lety +1

      +steven sixtwo i have the same issue on my 00 max se and i think it just needs to be cleaned, it's always in storage every winter but i do start it every 2 weeks, again this spring i put it back on the road and as i drive it more it rides better after 3-4 drives. Since getting the car 3 years ago i have replaced the MAF sensor and spark plugs and wow what a difference but i do get the occasional rough start in the morning and i give it just a little gas to have it not stall. I get the P505 code but not often say every 2 months. I would like to clean it but will have to watch some more vids !

      +TheUltimate65 have you checked to make sure you don't have a vacuum leak cause a consistant 1700 makes me think it's getting a little more air than it should

    Same thing with my Nissan Maxima 2001. It's a lemon O2 sensors. Catalytic converter, IAC , ECM. I should have burned it

    I changed my iacv on my 01 and now it fried my ecm.

    • @jamiejonesthecarman
      @jamiejonesthecarman  Před 8 lety

      +Faraz Nabibaksh how does that happen

    • @faraznabibaksh
      @faraznabibaksh Před 8 lety +2

      The iacv sends signals to the ecm and usually when the iacv burns out the computer gets mixed readings so the ecm burns out to save the other electronic components like a safety precaution.. usually the chip inside the ecm burns out and falls off inside so all you need to do is buy that chip and solder it.. do not change just the iacv and try to start car it will burn the iacv.
      Steps I used to fixed this issue.
      1 Disconnect the battery
      2 Remove the retire throttle body and disconnect the iacv and tps
      3 clean out the throttle body using the throttle body cleaner and let air dry for a 30 minutes
      4 install new iacv and tps
      5 reinstall everything EXCEPT THE BATTERY
      6 Remove the ecm
      7 put it rebuild or new ecm and have someone program it
      8. Start your car.
      9. Problem fixed.

      @digitalbots Před 7 lety +1

      Faraz Queens village mine burned out as well. When you fixed your ecm, did that fix your problem

      You will have to send the ecm off to be repaired. They don’t make new ones anymore

  • @zuchciu
    @zuchciu Před 4 lety +1

    Nonsense. IEC valve controls your idle. And is vital component to your car. Reason why this component is pricey is that this valve is actually a stepper motor opening and bypassing air to your intake when main throttle is closed and is controlling directly by ECM. Installing aftermarket poor quality motors may cause damage to your ECM module becouse there is no overload protection.
