    In this video we look at how to have your ETHOS transmitter read out values, for example the battery voltage. This can pretty much be any value on ETHOS, including all the telemetry sensors you have discovered. In the video, we take the battery voltage as an example. Showing how it can be read out from operating a switch. Or automatically read out when the value exceeds a specified target.

    How would you do multiple call outs on a switch. Example, RSSI, Volts, Temp, and amps.

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 2 měsíci

      Just list them one after the other. The special functions will activate in order.

    Followed the video and started over couple of times and still couldn't get it to work. When I changed the active condition from switch to logical switch BATT SWITCH as shown at 6:50 in the video and toggled the switch but got no read out audio at all. What am I missing?

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 8 měsíci

      The BATT SWITCH is a very simple logic switch. So there’s not a lot that could be wrong. It should trigger if either of the two lines in it are true. If only the switch is not working. Make sure that when you select the switch, you are holding it, then click the return button while still holding the switch in the correct position. If you’re using the same switch as in the video, it should show SG with a down arrow. When you move the switch. You should see that line go bold in the logic switch. And the name of the logic switch should go green.

    Thanks, how can we readout "Cell Lowest" like in Edge TX with a FrSky FLVS volt sensor? I've tried with no success.

    I love your micro test balsa plane that you use on your test bench. Did you make that yourself? If so, did you make a video on the build?

    which brand/size etc of micro sd card do you reccommend for the TX20s...i get a lot of "emergency mode" situations....which i have read are caused by the sd card..thanks

      @MrD  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I’m using the Samsung Pro Endurance MicroSD cards. They are made for being accessed often, and have performed faultlessly.

    Hi Darren. My transmitter which is the X 20 S does not offer me the play value command. I think I may have deleted it somehow because it did in the beginning. It also does not give me the welcome to Ethos command on start up. Anything that has to rely on reading a value does not work. Is there anyhow I can reset to the original settings or download the software to the original settings? Thank you very much. Stephen

    Great video. About to buy a X20S and will certainly go, in details, through all your videos.
    Question on the telemetry topic : with the TD SR12, are telemetry for battery and altitude / altitude vario included into the receiver?
    Thanks!!!

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi Eric. Looking at the web site, it should. There is an onboard barometer. So you should get altitude, vertical speed, and the voltage of the battery.

    Hi Daren.
    Thank you for another great video, you help me a lot to understand Ethos.
    I have a question, I will use a TD12 with 2 2S LiPo batteries connected.
    It’s possible to setup an independent alarm for each battery?

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 8 měsíci +2

      The TD R12 will take up to 10v input voltage. So 2S is fine. But it will output that voltage to the servos. So if they are not HV servos, you would need to use a BEC before putting the power in to the receiver.
      I can’t see a list of telemetry sensors for the TD R12. It may be that each battery’s voltage is returned via the telemetry sensors. In which case, each battery can be monitored.

    Darren is there a way to add yaapu to the frsky x18?

    • @MrD

      Hi Ruby, yes there is a repo for the Yaapu mapping widget for ETHOS. The telemetry script for ArduPilot also works.
