    BOOK A LIGHTHOUSE MENTOR
Are you or someone you know doubting Islam? Do you find yourself struggling to find answers? Do you have a hard time speaking to someone about Islam? Are you considering Islam but are unsure about certain concepts? Are you an activist, Imam or community leader who is unsure about how to handle questions related to science, philosophy, the Islamic moral code, etc.?
You are not alone. Over the course of the last decade or more there has been a rapid proliferation of content online and in academic institutions that has eroded the faith of some people.
Seeing the rise of this phenomenon , Sapience Institute is introducing a One to One mentoring service called LIGHTHOUSE.

    Quick summary:
    Knowledge is justified, true belief(s).
A Belief can be false or true.
    Theories of knowledge:
Correspondence theory: that which corresponds to reality is true.
Coherence theory: that which is (merely) coherent/consistent is sufficiently true.
Pragmatist theory: that which is useful is true.
    Objections and clarifications:
    • Correspondence theory is the most widely and generally accepted of the three. It's also Islamic and necessary to accept for a believer.
    • Coherence theory is lacking because it is not sufficient for something to be coherent to be true. It has to correspond to reality as well. For example, a video game could be coherent, but that doesn't make it the same as reality. This will also lead to contradictory beliefs that are internally coherent but are incoherent as a whole.
    • Pragmatist theory says that something is true as long as it is useful. But it is perfectly conceivable for something to be uselessly true or usefully false. For example, "all berries are poisonous", is false, yet that is useful, I.e., true according to pragmatists.
P.s. I'd initially made this for myself. It might lack some important points. I welcome suggestions/comments to edit or add anything to it.

MashaAllah. Every time I get around a group of friends and they are going on and on about fantasy football, or bitcoin or their retirement plans I always find myself yearning for deep and meaningful conversations like this. I often find myself wishing there were coffee shops modeled like the “salons” of the past where men came together and sat down to converse in hopes of gaining a deeper understanding of things that actually matter. JazakAllah for taking the time and creating an environment where people can come together to expand their cognitive horizons.

Small request concerning the editing : I have a hard time comfortably hearing/understanding everything that is going on. Sound mixing may be difficult especially since the setting may not allow for additional conveniently placed microphones in the room, but at least would it be possible to have subtitles showing up whenever a student asks a question for example, and in general whenever something is said at a volume much lower than Hijab's usual tone ? I haven't seen anybody else mentioning it but I think it would be a good thing and worth the effort :)

    Theories of truth:
Their criteria for truth is consistency.
    Three major S of thoughts.
    1) Correspondence theorists:A belief is only true if a corepondence exists. Like I have a ring.(happened something in external existence).
But this(the other) is impossible in Islamic framework. Like it is present in my mind.
    2) Coherentist theory:A belief is true if it cohere with the body of statements that we take to be true.
It is necessary but not sufficient conditions to be true.
    Here is consistency.
So a computer game be true according to them
    3) Pragmatists theory:Truth is what ever is useful. John dovee
    Truth is tentative;....
It is truth if it works.
A propaganda work is true then(.. To them). This is problematic.
    We would try out....
Like what creates more stability in economy is true. If a theory can't be isolated and experimented it can't be true.
    Michaiaville:cosequentionlism.
