A suggestion for the stock deployment is to mount a QD sling point to the bottom of the stock near the hinge. You then connect that via paracord to a shoulder holster attachment. What this does is when you thrust the gun forward, the stock automatically unfolds so you just have to bring the gun to your shoulder. We setup our MP5ks and UZI like that for PSD work decades ago.
Huh, funny enough, I've been working on something really similar for the past month or two. Like basically the same exact thing, but G17 with a full shroud around the slide, a definitely-not-a-front-grip redesign of the trigger guard and some more cyberpunk aesthetics
Just popped a dagger slide on my 80% build. I was really impressed by the milling, cerakote, and overall fit and finish. Definitely a steal for $199 (complete slide with cut outs, threaded barrel, and optics cut). It was cheaper to buy that than build out my current gun; crazy price
I thought the exact same when I got my slide in hand! The cerakote is beautiful and functions flawlessly, I'm running a Foxtrot Mike threaded barrel with mine and love it
Very cool, I love the concept of a holster-able stocked (braced) pistol/pdw. I've been planning/designing a USW 2011 build, we'll see if that ever turns out.
I got a MCX for my Glock 17 i wasn’t using and put a ROMEO5 on it. It’s fun plinking and now use it. Love what you guy’s in the printing world are doing, and love it makes the powers at be mad.
I was questioning why you went with the 19 slide until you pointed out the cheap PSA slides. That's smart. It would be a cool gun to suppress or compensate
I think mabey the trexarms ragnoroksd holster might be able to work if you 3rd print some sort of spacer or a thicker fork to give your self more stand off distance for brace clearance (don't know how achievable the second would be) but of course you would have e to switch out the light to the surefire
Unfortunately, since this utilizes a custom frame itself, there wouldn’t really be a way to do this exact setup as an add-on conversion kit to an existing frame. I based it around B&T’s add on concept but theirs is so expensive and an SBR only.
Very cool video with lots of info, I’m new to this not sure if you have already done it but how about a video for beginners. Basic equipment need and supplies. Thanks
Very cool. If I had a 3D printer this would be an awesome project. I had to settle for Recover Tactical instead. Oh that reminds me, can you make a Blade M11 style pistol?! With your 3D printing you should easily be able to print a cool front end for your MPA30 so it looks like his in Blade! Just a thought in case you got bored!
I don’t consider the Recover Tactical settling lol it’s effective, affordable, and it’s in stock. Ya can’t even get the B&T or Flux Raider hardly, never in stock, and super expensive. I’m happy with a PSA Dagger and a Recover Tactical brace setup, perfect for a small bag, at around $5-750 depending if you run an optic.
Honestly, my 930T front end block could easily be modified to be more Blade-like. I've been hoping to find a good .45 Mac clone to build one from but they're few and far between.
Have been wanting to print something very similar, but glock 40 size, going full shroud should give enough real estate for a forward mag holder, and small rail section for a light. My fusion skills haven't gotten me there yet. Edit: also, would go homogeneous unit, instead of frame and kit.
Awesome work! I'm thinking about getting into 3d printing- I don't know much about it, any suggestions on what a good intro model would be that would work with the content you put out? Thanks for all your videos
As a connoisseur of pistols that can become pdws, any thoughts on a big chungus version (17L length slide)? I think that it makes the most sense for the max possible length for the folding arm brace... and the b&t usw cannot accommodate that idea.
This is a beautiful project, I am planning on doing this, any idea or option for doing this without a red-dot? Since you know the top plate is modular. I plan to build one, see if I like it and then I may buy a red-dot for it?
Managed to snag this months ago, v2, not sure if there's been updates, but I can't wait to slap it with my PSA Dagger slide. I previously had it on a Digital Nimbus Labs PDW, which was great! But man I love this look on it, and will go this route and see how it goes. Thankfully, my pmags can fit it... is v2 the latest one? I haven't checked in a while.
@@booliganshootingsports Awesome! Thanks! 1 more question - would you happen to know if a Pinty Pro MOA Red Dot Reflex would fit it? I want to say yes, but I'm not 100% sure.
Ease of printing, having it be modular, not having to replace the entire frame if the rear mount breaks, etc. There are loads of one piece chassis setups like the Invader, I wanted something more streamlined and modular. And a rear pic rail just adds bulk. Design the frame and rear piece to fit the exact accessories you want, that’s the magic of 3D printing. You don’t need to work around things with shortcomings like picatinny rails.
Looking at getting a 3d printer and plan to print something like this for my home defense gun. Since I don’t know anything about 3d printing yet, would changing this to fit a 17L be too difficult? What about a version of this adapted for the Big Chungus?
It would require a full redesign to use G17 rails/locking block to use a 17L slide, and you’ll also run into size issues being able to print it. The rear needs to be stretched like 2-3” over the rear of the Big Chungus and that thing barely fits on the standard Ender 3, lol
There is a P320 to G17 magazine frame out there. You can edit that. If you don't know how to do CAD I suggest designspark. It's free and super simple to use.
Sand casting aluminum for high precision parts isn’t feasible for most people and honestly, doesn’t yield you a ton of benefit over properly printed parts.
Do you think you could possibly do basically the same thing but instead of the brace being the frame. Insead could you make one that locks into the backstrap pin like the Flux Defense G17 Brace. I am only saying this because I am unable to own a Firearm at this moment (Not IN trouble with the law just underage) and I think it would make an awesome airsoft attachment. In doing this you also appeal to a greater audience. so, why not?
This doesn’t work with any existing frame, the frame is 3D printed. So it’ll work with any G19 compatible slide/barrel/other parts but the maker of the frame doesn’t matter since it’s not reused.
Can you sell me that kit??? My glock is sbr'd and I've been on a search for 2-3 years looking for a nice pdw setup. I'm currently running the b&t usw and Flux defense won't release the Gen 3 braces anymore lol
Unfortunately, this won't work for you as it's not an add-on kit to an existing frame. You have to print a new frame which wouldn't transfer over with your SBR'd frame.
@@booliganshootingsports I just like the overall size of a 34 or 17L and I imagine it would make a nice pdw. I still say you should try one with a 19 or 17 upper but do a right side fold to make it holsterable. I think you could still "flip" it, just need to figure out the motion and practice it
