- The TPMS system on my Equinox was not showing one of the wheels. In this video, I replace it and pair the sensors. It is an easy job, and with the cheap Amazon sensors and tool it doesn't cost much.
Hope this video is helpful for someone.

I'm glad it was an easy fix. That said, i find it annoying that cars these days have so many unnecessary electronic features, though :)
Yes, it wasn’t that bad. I really would prefer a simpler car, I’m seeing a lot to go wrong in this one.
Thank you for posting this video. One of the rear tires on my 2015 Equinox has a bad sensor. I ordered the sensors and the tool from amazon to replace myself.
Very cool, thanks for watching!
I'm glad to see you could fix this easily without it costing too much. 👍
You really have a way- especially getting around $70+ for a 2$ part- another great video
Thanks, I wasn’t going to fix it for that price.
Great video. That tool is very handy too. When they rotate my tires they don't reset the system. I have them rotate my tires because I get free rotation for the life of my tires.
Yes, this tool should be in the car. It is essential in my opinion. I'm getting spoiled by tpms like everyone else lol
Thanks for the help. I did one today and struggled a bit to get the old sensor out and new one in but ultimately did so using my jack to break the bead and collapse the sidewall. The bead sealed right away which I was concerned about. Glad I got the relearn tool and a valve installation bar. Need to do the other 3 once they go bad.
Glad it helped. The more I use this system the more I like it.
Thanks, you did a great job.
Thanks for making the video, I am going to try doing this
Good luck!

You are welcome
Ughhh I was hoping I could do this on my own 😭 I don’t have the wheely-gig tool to pop it off. Rats!
Yeah, they have to make things difficult. The tool is pretty cheap though.
Hey Luke, was looking at those air pressure sensors on Amazon and noticed they say not to try this replacement and relearn if you dont have a proper scan tool that can "talk to it" to wake them up, does that relearn tool take the place of the scan tool? Thanks for any info
It worked fine with the tool I got on Amazon. It is cheap and is handy to have for the future as well.
Did your air compressor rebead the tire or did you have to do an extra step?
Yes, it managed to air it up.
Are they still working good? I’m about to buy the same ones and do it today if they are.
Yes, they are still going strong. No problems as of yet.
@@lukeFugate I have a 15 Equinox. Followed your directions and worked out great. Took me a min to get the tire back on the bead. No one told me to take the core out when inflation to make that part easier.
Cats never change,
true
I tired to do this and I was having a hard time since my tires are brand new so I had to take it to the tire shop and paid $5
Sorry it didn't work for you. At least you found a cheap place to get it done.
Such a pain. At least it's not Mercedes.
True, I would say a Mercedes would have to go to the dealer and cost a fortune.
Never inflate ANY tire that is not held securely in place !
Good tip.
Please get to the point in the video, I had to watch the whole thing before I actually got to the part where you fixed your system
All you need is a magnet.
Really? I will definitely have to test that. If so I'll make an update video. Thank you.
