You know Leonard cheating wasn't at all out of character- the same exact situation happened with him and Priya. She was back in India and the long distance led to him making out with another woman, feeling guilty about it and telling her immediately where she revealed she'd slept with her ex. What's out of character is that he was able to keep it a secret for so long, because this happened 2 years ago and ultimately that's what Penny is upset about, the two years of lying. It destroys the trust, makes you wonder what else they're capable of, what else they would hide from you.
I always hated the fact that everyone would laugh and joke about how Leonard would never cheat on Penny, and always imply that Penny would leave Leonard for someone. When in fact, Penny was very faithful to Leonard. Even when she dated other guys, she still loved Leonard. On the other hand, Leonard easily hooked up with someone else very soon after their breakup, and even when he was dating Priya, he cheated on Priya as well. He is not a playboy kind of cheater, but his problem is not being able to push away girls who come on to him. I am pretty sure this was how the kiss between Mandy happened - both were drunk, but Mandy initiated the kiss, Leonard could be shocked but kissed back for a while and then suddenly realizes he is dating Penny and pushes her away. I can believe that Leonard will not initiate the kiss, but I am totally sure he definitely kissed back for a very long time before pushing her away.

Also it was a bit unfair of Penny to get super mad at him for that, when he didn't actually cheat/pursue a relationship with Alex. At 1:35 when Leonard's phone rings, watch Penny dive in to see who it is. It could be from their conversation in the car about the girl L kissed. It looks to me like it was purposely exaggerated so we'd see it.
It always annoyed me that there was no follow up to Bernadette knowing that Leonard cheated on Penny and never said anything- they played it for laughs, but that's such a huge betrayal of her trust and honestly out of character for Bernadette. It's also pretty shitty of Howard to have told Bernie because you're putting her in a position where she has to choose between keeping the confidences of her marriage and doing right by her friend.

The crisis on TBBT weddings were really tame compared to those.

I just can't stand the extreme misogyny that Sheldon displays and the sexism in the show as a whole and I hate that Sheldon kept getting rewarded and never had to really face consequences, compromise or sacrifice anything despite his sexism, selfishness and narcissism and the same kinda goes for the other leading men too.

I don't really find it that funny though as it's totally possible to depict sitcom men who respect women and are good, decent people (Jake from B99 (all the B99 men), Chidi from The Good Place, Ben from Parks and Rec) and there was no need to make Sheldon so hateful and misogynistic. Also, it makes it even more uncomfortable for him to be so sexist and to insult her to an almost dehumanising degree when they wanted to get him and Amy back together anyway.
