- I'm on vacation, so why not buy a vintage machine and fix it at mom's house? It was very hot on her porch and the production isn't my normal style, but I think we all can learn together if this is possible. Cleaning and adjusting a Japanese Universal Sewing Machine.

I'm a month late in watching your videos. really enjoyed then..I just before this one watched your blind hemmer video.
I will be a fan now and go back and watch all your videos. . the verses are a added joy. thank you.
A dime makes a very good screwdriver for needle plate screws. Thanks for another great video!
This is a great idea for a video that is more interesting than the usual restore/repair. Thanks.
Hello! I'm sad to just find out that you were in Florida for vacation. I have a machine that needs some TLC.
I like the 🌴 tree.
I think it was worth the effort.
I hope you enjoyed your time at your mom's house.
Blessings
I think it is a beautiful machine. America use to make machines that last now they make them for the trash.
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Got a White 777 from Goodwill once without the tension. I fitted a brass tube to the pin, added two discs of plastic for tension, and taped a bent paper clip to the front for a take up spring. It took some fiddling, but it sews just as good as any other machine with the tension on 4...so, necessity is sometimes the mother of invention.
Now you have my interest in this machine. 20 Cams, can't wait to see (those stiches) that video.
Im just now realizing you're the guy I buy from on Etsy, your tires are in my mailbox today ... very cool. Oh, and thanks for always sending out my order within 24 hours, thats always surprising, better than i do.
I like the palm trees 🌴, and the machine. Very smooth and quiet. You just can't beat the Japanese machines from that time era.
I am doing same work like hobby. And still I am learning. Loves to you from Turkiye. Have a nice works
I can't see the brand name on that machine, but it looks very much like the one my grandmother had that is still in her house, and one my 90+ year old Aunt still has in the basement of my grandmother's house. Japanese made in the 50's or 60's, Remington brand.
Thank you for your time and effort to post this video!
sweet old machine
What a beautiful machine!
If you don't have sandpaper, especially for a very small area, ask your mom if she has any emery boards in her manicure supplies. (Emery boards are sandpaper on narrow boards for filing nails.)
How did you get into sewing machine repair?
Very enjoyable and informative video!
I would like to see more thrift store refurbish then sell!
I always think the metal vintage machines are better than the disposable big box machines if they are running
I have a "Consew" model Japanese machine from about the same era. My great-aunt, a collector, gave it to me since she already had one like it. I thought I might clean it up and sell it, since I have a few already, but after sewing with it -- even before I cleaned it -- I realized just what an awesome machine it is. Built like a *tank*, and now cleaned and properly oiled, it has been fantastic for sewing patches onto leather vests. I could only want for a bit more room to maneuver under the harp. Other than that, it's quiet, powerful, and resilient.
Still want a pink Atlas or blue Morse, though. =D
First thing my mother would say is, “Those are my sewing scissors, put them back!”
Smashing ☺️☺️☺️
Are you still in Florida so I can drop off the designer se to your trunk?
What is a good *dual voltage* sewing machine to take to ✈️ Europe?
If my sewing machine, in the middle of a project, started sewing really slow and I’m not able to speed it up by pressing harder on the foot pedal. Do you know what the issue could be?
Hai! I have a question my sewing machine is always in zigzag. How to repair it
You have to change the metal plate to the straight stitch plate and change the foot to a straight stitch foot
I was a fan right up until the mention of patron.
The man is an average guy trying to make a living, machines and supplies cost money. Scrooge.
