    I am fed up with the West, we are letting Ukraine down wtf

    • @traumflug
      @traumflug Před 2 měsíci

      That's a too broad view. There are many great people on the west. Think of President Pavel, who "found" 800.000 artillery shells. Think of Estonia, which sent all its howitzers. Think of Denmark, which will do so before long. Think of all the air defence systems, which made life in Ukraine not safe, but a lot safer. Think of Joe Biden, who does all he can to get that package done.
      Actually, there are only very few jerks: Orban and Trump, and the lazyness of Scholz and Macron. It's the drawback of democracies that these few can hold up the whole process. Still they can't stop it entirely, and that's good.

    Thank you Georjis! I agree with your excellent assessment of the reshuffled staff. I also want to mention that, since Syrsky's appointment, I have seen western media characterize the appointment of Syrsky (..and the subordinates who you discussed today..) as a "...crisis..."! While I am aware that UP & most other Ukrainian media will generally use the exclusively positive official records of Syrsky & his recently appointed subordinates, I think it is entirely fair for all of us to accept the facts in the articles about Syrsky & his recently appointed subordinate as true. Of course, once we've learned the facts, we all can make our own judgements about the changes at the top of the AFU. FWIW, it is pretty clear to me that the negative terms used by some 'western' media, such as "...crisis...", are inaccurate to the point of being ridiculous.
    The facts speak for themselves. Syrsky & his 'inner circle' were not born yesterday! Ukraine has been dealing with the Russian political & military threat ever since Ukraine gained its independence, plus the AFU has been fighting pro-Russian separatists & the Russian military for 10 years. Consequently, Syrsky & his team are all extremely experienced, well-trained, proven *warriors* who have also demonstrated their worth in administrative, supervisory, and leadership roles. So, IMHO, It appears that some 'western' media have done little or no research regarding Zelensky's justifiable political & military desire to inject 'new blood' into the leadership at the top of the AFU. It also seems to me that Zelensky wisely chose to make these changes at a time when Ukrainian citizens & soldiers are feeling more frustration & disappointment than was felt in 2022 & 2023, and Zelensky ensured that the transfer of power within the AFU occurred well ahead of the end of the spring muddy season, when military activity usually expands & accelerates.
    Furthermore, it is obvious that Zelensky does not have an ego so large that he feels he must micro-manage the AFU. (..a common issue throughout the history of war around the world). Instead, these changes & appointments, which Zelensky was required to approve, represent Zelensky's great respect for the AFU and the high value he places on unique expertise & extreme dedication of the AFU's leadership. Simply put, Zelensky knows where & when he must defer to the military commanders, and the military commanders know when they must defer to Zelensky's expertise & experience with domestic social/economic policies & international politics!
    Finally, I will strongly encourage everyone reading my comment here to share Georjis' video about Syrsky, plus this video about Syrsky's subordinates. Sharing these two videos will be especially important with any individuals or media which continues to frame the changes at the top of the AFU as a "crisis" or in any other negative manner. In fact, everyone is free to cut & paste my entire comment here & share it with those who need to have a better understanding of the new leaders of the AFU. (..just use my YT name when you quote my comments as your source...). Slava Ukraini !!!

    Thanks for this update Georgi. It's good to know that the new commanders are a very competent team. I was a bit concerned that they might be some of those Soviet legacy generals. It's not clear to me though who Syrsky's #2 man is though. Slava Ukraini!

    I was also surprised by the leadership change however the more that I hear about Syrsky and his team, the more I feel confident that this is the type of team that we need in order to win the war on our terms. Perhaps it is not as political as the previous team, but that's probably a good thing.

    BTW, as there are so many videos and analysis of this war one might think someone might try to model these in some sort of wargames (be they operational or tactical).
    In regard to the tactical there is a game that might be readily adapted to be used to do this, GMT's game MBT which simulates a hypothetical war between NATO and Russia in the cold war era in that much of the equipment being employed now is from then.
    e.g. Goggle
    MBT from GMT - Scenario 1 Turn 2 (with some added Advanced Rules) -Spotting, Command, Combat phases
    plus I added a comment there on this idea.

    The general staff were all sacked when the general was sacked. That was just before the fall of Adiivka. If the result of this change was the loss of the city and the beginning of Russias movement west. On the face of it, it seems to be a bad idea. Remains to be seen if Ukraine can find either a military or diplomatic solution. If they don’t act soon Ukraine may not have much to offer for diplomacy

    BTW I just saw an interesting video for a FPV Killer
    Google
    Ukraine's Handheld FPV Killer?
    I left a comment there on how these might be mounted in a cluster on a vehicle vs being fired hand held.
    I might add to that comment that this cluster mount could also be mounted on a cargo e-bike (long tail or front loader) that could go with the infantry that otherwise would not have a vehicle to mount it.
    It could be transported on the e-bike but fired by having the rider dismount and using the e-bike as a tripod on wheels.
    Also, since it is electrically fired, one could make it so they don't all fire at once to lesson the recoil.

    On a somewhat different topic. Coop cages.
    And no, that is not misspelled I meant coop and not Cope, as in Cope Cage but Coop Cage as in Chicken Coop.
    For one might Goggle
    Land Guard 19 Gauge Hardware Cloth, 1/2 inch Chicken Wire Fence, Galvanized Welded Cage Wire Mesh Roll Supports Poultry Netting Cage
    And look at the picture there.
    So these can protect chickens form predators such as racoons and foxes and such.
    But with a bit of redesign they can protect AFVs, MBTs, and artillery and such from UAVs such as those nasty Russian Lancet drones.
    The idea is to build a large Coop Cage around a AFV (or such) much the same way one would build a chicken coop, only it is larger, but built in sections like a chickens coop that can be easily disassembled and then moved and reassembled.
    One might build a coop cage say next to a building or a tree line and then cover it with camo netting as well.
    The AFV can shoot right through the chicken wire if needed.
    On the move on can make a smaller version and use that as a mega cope cage. where the extra pieces or doubled in thickness so that the AFV can carry all the pieces of its Coop Cage in the Cope Cage configuration.
    This is designed mainly for larger UAV defense such as a Lancet drone and will work OK against FPV drones only they can employ several, one to punch a hole and the other to go through the hole.
    But with a couple of camera the crew could see where the hole is and aim a small UAV defense weapon at that hole, such as a shot gun or cluster of shot guns on a mount with say a shield for the operator as a last ditch defense weapon, or the like.
    This perhaps can take a bit of the sting out of the Lancet threat... and maybe Lancet is Russian for Racoon after all!

    • @RonLWilson
      @RonLWilson Před 2 měsíci

      BTW, one can built lots of empty Coop cages as well as decoys where the bird has flown the coop.
      That would be much easier and cheaper than building say a M1 Abrams decoy, just build a coop cage decoy with a camo net that prevents any UAV from easily seeing if the bird has flown the coop or not.
      And any farmers nearby can use it to to keep their chickens as well and give them a deluxe edition chicken coop!

    • @RonLWilson
      @RonLWilson Před 2 měsíci

      And these could be electrified as well.
      e.g. Goggle
      How Electromagnetic Armor Vaporizes RPGs
      While that technology has proven to be problematic against RPV and AT rounds maybe they can be effective against drones that move at much slower speeds.
      And BTW, the difference (in my mind) between a Cope cage and a Coop cage is that a Coop Cage is much larger and is meant more for a static defense measure and not so much a vehicle on the move, i.e. cope cages are mobile while Coop cages are moveable.

    • @RonLWilson
      @RonLWilson Před 2 měsíci

      And one might make these as a geodetic dome, that is electrified and has towo or three layers of screen.
      e.g. Google
      The Ultimate Geodesic Dome Build Guide - Most Beautiful, Inexpensive, No Hubs
      And ten car batteries is series might be all the electric power one needs, that would be 12x 10 = 120 volts of DC with a very high current capacity, that should be enough to wreck a UAVs day, no need for expensive and problematic high voltage capacitors.
      And one in ten of these might just be decoys in that they are easy and cheap to make and move and set up, hard to destroy (in that there is not much there to destroy) , and easy to repair.
      Maybe one can call them as such Doubt Domes, in that I doubt that any thing is in them but who knows maybe something is.
