- Well, I attempted the Butterfly Swirl this time.....and failed miserably! lol However, the end result is still quite pretty!

How can you call something so pretty a fail?? Soap has a mind of it's own. That lot just didn't want to be a butterfly - more an orchid or hummingbird? Looks gor - G - us! As usual xx
Things in the freezer or fridge are dehydrated slowly, all that happened was your coconut oil lost some water :)
I think it turned out awesome. I actually liked the bolder pink color before you added mica but it's still sweet 😀 Your videos so far from most soapers I've seen are my favorite. I think I relate to your crazy personanility cause I'm a nut to....lol Keep up the great work. Too bad you don't do candles. I LOVE candles....😉
I love the soap even if it wasn't a good butterfly swirl. Yahida is the only soaper I have seen that can actually make a pretty butterfly swirl and she aces it soooo easy. I don't soap but I have a bar of every soap Yahida has sold and agree that the soap must stay very loose when it is poured if you want to get the beautiful butterfly. Yahida's swirls are so whispy and delicate and that can only be achieved if the soap is very thin at the time it is poured.
Back to you- you made a dark and passionate soap and I a impressed. I watch quite a few soapers on CZcams and almost every single one of them is too scared to really color their base soap. They will talk about their plan as the beginning of the video and far too often the plan is to color the base either white or some other color but when they add the colorant and give it a whizz and it is still basically the creamy color from the oils. Then the next thing isn't adding more colorant...oh no, the next thing is to say "that's ok, this is what I wanted" or "I can' live with that". I always want to scream, "NO add more color and see if you can get what you really wanted" because a black or white base is so much more interesting.
I also love the black and silver herds on top. Gorgeous color scheme as well.
I DO SOAP, and there is such a thing as too much mica/color. It can stain your towels, and lather that color and stain skin. We have to go by “guidelines “ if u will
Yes I am binge watching all of Katie's soap making videos as well. I got the confidence to try drop swirls and they all come out looking very interesting!

I was wondering if you could let me know how you alter your recipes to slow down the thickening? Also, what do you do with FOs that accelerate trace? do you just avoid them or is there some trick I am missing? Also what about oxidation from FOs that have vanilla in them? I have never seen you add vanilla stabilizer. Thanks :)
I think you should get a portable dishwasher. It just hooks up to your sink and then when you get done with it you roll it in a corner or out of the way somewhere.

how do you make your piping soap because i tried to make it and i failed and spilled my batter but then 2nd time i didn't it great but it melted because i think it was like half soap n half sugared powder and it was a catastrophe !

can you tell me where you got your chunky glitter and the heart glitter? I think the swirl (butterfly) turned out nice. I could see a hummingbird in a couple of them.
On a few they came out Sorta looking like a Butterfly.
This is like a medium high top. I prefer this to the high tops. Better balance between the soap and the frosting.
Stupid question coming...did you use Fo in your melt n pur embedds?
Hardly a fail. Very lovely. Do you use an additive in your piping batter. My hands on the bag tend to warm & soften the batter, so I get frustrated then undisciplined so to speak

Did you dry brush the silver mica on the heart mp?
You’ve found fragrance oils that dramatically slow down trace so it might be a good opportunity to revisit this design with all the knowledge & experience you’ve gained since this attempt

what is trace?
Even if it did not give you a butterfly in your swirl they are still beautiful. On your red color you mentioned you used the Red Lake 30 dye but your link is for the Red Lake 40, I am just wondering which is the correct one as your red is perfect.

Merit no, she sales it. You have to buy the piping bag set in order to get her piping recipe.

when making soap with high tops, how do you cure it for the 24 hours? and where do you sit it for the 24 hours?
