- Hey guys! I'm testing out the Carnival Colors Collection from Nurture Soap today AND I'm using a new fragrance, Camu Camu from Nature's Garden Candles. By the way, I know I said that this fragrance dupe was from a company that starts with the letter "L" and rhymes with "crush", but it's actually comparable to a multi-level wax warmer and melt company. :) I've left links to colorants and the fragrance in the description.

ALL the colors look so vibrant and something I really love...even the blue you didn't really like. I think that soap came out wonderful. You do such a great job at what you do! I can see how much you enjoy it.

So pretty!! I think the blue looks great. The blue kind of anchors the other colors and keeps them from "fighting" with each other for attention. Like using a little black in a soap to make the other colors stand out.

The cat story, is exactly how I got the cat that literally became out child. His name was Weber but rarely was called anything but The Baby. One ice stormy night, I heard a kittenish cry outside. I looked but couldn't find it. But I kept hearing it, so I decided to go out the patio door this time. And he sat right outside the door. I opened the door and he walked in went straight for the food dish of our other cat. When he finished eating he walked down the first set of stairs, around the corner, down the next set of stairs and used the litter box. He came back upstairs jumped up into my husband's lap who was asleep on the couch (he had the flu) and promptly fell asleep. That night and for most every night after, he slept under the covers with his head on my arm like a child would do. He was after all the baby. I put up found posters, not one call came in. My gift from God. I miss him dearly, but at least I got a taste of being a mother. Gosh I can't even see the screen, to many tears.
Ok I can see. I was wondering if you would consider making a tornado themed batch? Last Tuesday a massive one hit our town and property, it completely wiped 0.9 miles of our road, which was the hardest hit section out of the 29 mile path. I am the luckiest of all of us hit on our road, only 85% of our property was destroyed. My house stands on the 15% that wasn't damaged. God answers prayers, and granted us that miracle. For there is no other explanation. I've had meteorologists climbing all over the property since the storm, they all leave shaking their heads, my house should not be intact and undamaged since the tornado pasted right over it destroying everything North, East, South, and West of it. Truly a miracle. Anyway, I not only buy soap to wash with but I also preserve and keep some. I would love to have a soap to commemorate this event in our lives.

For those looking for the large bucket containers, those are known in the food industry as "cambros" and can be purchased at restaurant supply stores, bulk food/supply stores (like Smart&Final) and online; just search "cambro" and you'll get a bunch of links. The company makes several different kinds of containers, this kind is polypropynene, it is somewhat flexible, not rigid like their polycorbonate series and is also lighter in weight.

I believe you can also get the larger buckets at a cooking supply store because they are the same type what the restaurant I use to work at used them as well.

It's so vibrant. I love it. Seems like the blue may have morphed a little? One of the companies I get my Mica from, here in Australia gives free little sample packets in your order.
I'm a fan of Bulk Apothecary and Rustic Escentuals, but being in PA, shipping isn't bad. I think Bulk Apothecary and Nature's Garden is the best shipping price for bulk oils and wax or other super heavy items for me. Brambleberry is stupid expensive shipping to here though.

I just wanted to give a bit of my thoughts about some distributors..... Kevin Devine got me hooked on mad oils... They are like my special treat to myself. The colors are AMAZING, some of the scents they have that others dont are soooo yummy (thai sticky rice for example) and yes there is candy and a cool little organza bag with there logo in every box but yes there prices are a bit higher and you cant get most of your oils so they are a treat for me but i love them and the other company you mentioned is Bulk Apothecary there prices are great. There packaging is always good unlike some companies that put your shea butter in a zip lock that causes so much loss you will never have this problem with them. They are my go to for raw materials

One of my big questions with soap making is the clean up and there doesnt seem to be many videos/explanations on doing this. Is it safe to clean up your utensils in your kitchen sink? Do you have a video or would you mind doing a quick run thru on how to when you have a minute?!

I order from Rustic Essentials(Aroma Haven) quite a few times. Hwever, I only order like 4 ounces of each kind of fragrance at a time since I make small batches. The shipping is not bad for what I need...my biggest shipping killing company is Brambleberry...I LOVE THEM but the shipping kills me!!! My fav for shipping is of course Wholesale Supplies Plus...orders over 40.00 have free shipping!!
