Yeah it was a bit tricky in some areas. And yeah I've kept a lot of my old games too. Which is why I've decided to start going through them with reviews. At least the superhero/comic book related ones lol
Tony Jay also voiced Galactus in the second season of the 90’s fantastic four cartoon. It’s him I hear in my head whenever I see galactus in a comic. This was a fun game, although I never beat it. The sequel was even more fun for me.
Love this. I find myself missing this game quite often and I keep coming back to it. The nostalgia is real! It's such an awesome game. Would love a brand new third person X-men game where you can play as several X-men with different superpowers and explore the X-Mansion and such, fighting classic villains.
I desagree with magma, shes my favourite caracter from the entire game, and I always excited about playing with her in the first missions in the danger room (as you can tell by my name xD been using it ever since 2004)
Wait, the guys who voiced Frollo and the asylum guy from Beauty and the Beast also voiced Magneto? Holy crap my mind just got blown, how did I not know that??🤯🤯🤯
I never clicked with Colossus's voice-mainly because it's the psychiatrist from the Terminator films doing a Russian accent. But yeah, we lost that Magneto a while back, and we lost the OG cartoon Magneto, AND Cyclops, last year.
@@ChannelNerdgasm I remember beating it and it’s sequel, but I believe it was by the skin of my teeth with every hero dead except one with very low health lol.
When I was younger I thought that way, but I think if you play it enough, you learn its patterns and the best abilities to level up for each of the characters. Certain ones work better with others - in combination. I do think this game gets easier as it goes on though. The hardest level is the HAARP facility when you go underground - at least in my opinion.
I actually like this game much more than any other series. Much more grounded, not spamming enemies, and limited energy so need more proper use of abilities Legends2 has various abilities but everything feels the same. The plot is weaker i think. MUA1 still feels like Legends2, which I’m not quite like. And MUA2 is like a warriors game. Spamming enemies with abilities. And Iceman normal attack is so powerful, much stronger than Wolverines o.o Literally one punch everyone from mid game
You can wait until the next mansion interlude to talk to Nightcrawler again and play the Sentinel flashback then when you're at a higher level. I think the same goes for the Juggernaut flashback. But there is a point where it is no longer available as you can't interact with every character at all mansion interludes. Edit: sorry I was wrong about this ; I tried this in my last game recently and it didn't work. You get the same conversation , but the prompt to activate the flashback does not appear. You'll have to play the flashbacks when they're offered , before leaving the mansion.
0:57 you might be the first person to point out the discrepencies in some of Xavier's lines in this game not being all from Patrick Stewart. I didn't pinpoint it until now when you did the side-by-side but you're absolutely correct, they don't sound completely alike. (The final cutscene, and the Character Select when you select Jubilee). Judging from the credits, Tom Kane must have been the uncredited voice double.
I just do it manually. Because I make sure the points go where I want them to. Makes the game easier. Maxing Wolverine's healing factor as soon as you can is a lifesaver in areas. Same goes for Cyclops' and Storm's leadership skill. If I recall, it increases the XP you earn for the team.
Manually , because you can't reassign stat or skill points in this game. And unless you're going to level grind past level 35 , you need to put those points where they do you the most good.
If you’d like to fast track a superhero game for me to review on the channel, you can nominate it over on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/channelnerdgasm
X-men legends is the best. Without it, there’s no marvel ultimate alliance
And that's what people forget
Yup i love mua a lot but i have to agree with you here
I want a remaster or remake of this game so bad
I love this game. I still own it since I don't tend to through away or trade any of my video games I love. It was hard as heck at some parts though.
Yeah it was a bit tricky in some areas. And yeah I've kept a lot of my old games too. Which is why I've decided to start going through them with reviews. At least the superhero/comic book related ones lol
Fooking morrow

Beast only misses that first mission if you don't talk to him , after that he shows up in the roster of available playable characters.
I desagree with magma, shes my favourite caracter from the entire game, and I always excited about playing with her in the first missions in the danger room (as you can tell by my name xD been using it ever since 2004)
Did you watch the cartoon in the 90’s?
Playing this game again after yyyyyeeeeaaarrrsss of not playing it and my goodness are these levels long!!!
Same. Cost me about 60 bucks between getting HDMI cables, a HDMI adapter, a new controller, the game itself, etc.
Jon Ericson u still playing it? Is it worth the time? I stopped the weekend i posted this 🤣🤣🤣
X men legends 3 please. This is the best way to create an x men game
By creating such a game, they can tell a story, include a much larger roster.
Wait, the guys who voiced Frollo and the asylum guy from Beauty and the Beast also voiced Magneto? Holy crap my mind just got blown, how did I not know that??🤯🤯🤯

I love this game still have it and still play it
I loved this game so much, 2 cranked that shit up to 11! I wish we got a remastered.
Too many rights issues I think for that to happen.
@@ChannelNerdgasm too true my friend
I agree Master Mold was hard af.
Unless you mash the assist button and then your teammates spam their super moves lol
@@ChannelNerdgasm I remember beating it and it’s sequel, but I believe it was by the skin of my teeth with every hero dead except one with very low health lol.
Master Mold is easier with cetain characters and equipment.
You can beat him in less than a minute with the right combination.
The ONLY Problem I have, is that THIS Game is Too Damn HARD-as opposed to the Rest...😔

@@ChannelNerdgasm IF Ur talking about that TIMED Mission, then Ur Spot On.
@@IceTC2847 the timed mission was the ship level i think
This was the first game I was gifted when I got a PS2 slim in middle school. I really wish there was a remaster

Oh yeah if you max out his ice damage on melee attacks he cleans house lol
After using his powers the first few times I played him , now I just put all of Iceman's stat points into Body and melee with him the whole game.
"D'aagh! My strength has failed me." - Colossus after dying
Oh remember this game ! I couldn't beat Pyro then quit playing

X-men legends 3 Please!
I wish. Doubt it will ever happen though. Ultimate Alliance 4 is more likely.
Ur in Luck, because There is a Part 3 for PS3. Google it.
@@ChannelNerdgasm ultimate Alliance 3 still couldnt hold a candle to xmen legends 1 or 2 i was extremely disappointed
And the gameplay is already change a lot now.

They need to remake all the x-men legends games for next gen and pc
This game is great!!
Sure is!
There's a full walkthrough on IGN site it tells you everything
PS2 is the best version because of codebreaker can get you to level 99 maximizing the characters powers making them extremely OP.
Is it better to upgrade manually or automatically?
I just do it manually. Because I make sure the points go where I want them to. Makes the game easier. Maxing Wolverine's healing factor as soon as you can is a lifesaver in areas. Same goes for Cyclops' and Storm's leadership skill. If I recall, it increases the XP you earn for the team.
@@ChannelNerdgasm can the danger room help earning more items and exp?
Experience yes. If you keep playing the challenges over and over. I forget if item drops happen though (at least good ones lol).
@@ChannelNerdgasm as long as you don't complete the challenge, you can still get items, credits and health/energy drops

as good as MUA istheres no infinite combo like in the xmen legends. i default to spamming abilities in those games instead of melee.
