Hey Chuck, Great seeing Brent and Lori again. They definitely have that newbie look on their face. Brent has the right kind of courage to really enjoy Thai food. Lori and Brent couldn't have better tour guides than you and Paige. Having friends come to Thailand I believe benefits us more than them. We need that break from everyday life here. I can see and hear how happy and relaxed you are with spending time with them. I know you are enjoying reciprocating the hospitality they gave you and Paige in the States. There's nothing like good friends!

Hey Chuck and Paige and Brent and lori, good to see your friends made it to Thailand with no real problems, except the jetlag of course. It happens to most people. I was surprised that the traffic was not so bad going south. You mentioned Cha-Am, that is my personal favorite place to go to. I find it to be very laid-back and very friendly. I have not been any further south than Houlihan so I don't know anything about the lower than that. I will have to fix that when I get my new scooter.
I would be terrified to ride a scooter here 🤪
I think your friends will have a great time especially after they recover from jet lag.
We are so much better now. I hear the jet lag going back is the hardest. It’s worth it for sure!

Be careful eating in that Italian restaurant. I had a salmon pasta dish a while back and I was extremely sick all night long. I never knew being sick could be so painful.

Is that hotel in Samut Prakhan? It looks like the hotel my wife and I stayed at on the way back to Seattle one time. We had dinner on the roof…it was decent, and the prices was reasonable.

Really fun to see people experiencing Thailand for the first time.
In March, we stayed at the Hilton Hua Hin and ate at the Lo Stivale. We sat at that same exact table. Definitely will visit Hua Hin again.

Great choice of hotel there at the Hilton - i don't think you'll regret it.
Stayed there for a few nights previously & wasn't disappointed.
Everytime i look it seems to be approximately 4,000/night, including breakfasts.

Spent a lot of time in Hua Hin, and lived at the hotel you're in. Great restaurants and shopping, but lots of falang.

It's very easy to follow along we started out in Bangkok and ended up in Hua hin. That is the "Chunk" of it....

I lived in Hua Hin for 1 year. I know I previously mentioned Korat, but your mom might also like Hua Hin, because it has a certain level of western comforts, couple malls, many farang restaurants and community. And you travel through here often. But I don't think Cha Am is an ideal location for her initial period of settling in. 😃
I need to hire a guide when I get there 😂

Ok…finished watching the arrival video….I was talking with Gip about how nice it must be to have friends who have lived in a country long enough to know the in and outs, the culture , and the tips and tricks to navigate the experience. My experience has been mostly solo around the world and maybe with one or two others. So, this is good…and I’m jealous of the airplane Japan style toilet…had to be an ANA upgrade since the last time I traveled …I was a Star Alliance member for years before I retired and they didn’t have those….uh, maybe they did in 1st class. Anyway….we stayed at the Hilton in Hua Hin before the flu…I’m Hilton Vacation Club member and we love that place……say hey to The Captain and Lori…..have fun…..c u on the next one….:-))
