Ed's mood will drop, anybody would feel down, stuck in bed in the same room for days, nit well, worrying about health, travel, insurance etc. Keeping his spirits up is important. Well done for helping out Nick.
"Thank you" for taking all that time out to send us such a detailed update. This is a warning to all of us to make sure when living here and of course back home to have our resources in order God forbid were next.. Praying Ed's mass goes down and they are able to find a better anti bi for him.
Thank you, Nick, for taking such good care of our mate, Ed, in his greatest hours of need; you are the best. And may Ed be blessed with a swift recovery in his treatment given the change of antibiotics. But if not, hopefully surgery there will lead him to the right antibiotic treatment to rid him of this nasty infection. Thank you for keeping us all apprised of his condition.
Hi Nick & Camera Dan Thanks for the update on Eddy good to hear there keeping him in ICU for the next two weeks he be in safe hands. Again along with your many subscribers and Eddy subscribers we would like to thank you for your support and time and kindness your showing Eddy during these difficult times your a very decent man. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
Hi, Nick. It's not surprising that Ed's mood isn't great with all of the uncertainty he has about what is happening to him. Also, there must be some genuine fear that this could get worse. You are a good man for taking the time to get us these updates on Ed's condition. This is not the first time you have done this kind of thing, I remember you did the same for Kev In Thailand before Cancer finally beat him. Nick, you have a genuinely good heart. Neil.
Hi Nick As you can see by the amount of comments Ed is a much liked vlogger. We all wish him a speedy recovery & thank you so much for your wonderful work.
Thanks for the update. I have been looking out all week. It's great of you to keep us connected as Ed could have just vanished, and we really care for him.
Thank you so much for updating us, and for the great efforts you are making to ensure he receives the best in care and treatment. 3 cheers for Nick, and the Drs and nurses team caring for our Steady Eddie.
Thankyou for the latest update Nick.Your doing a great job looking after Eddy's wellbeing.Hopefully the change in the antibiotics will be more beneficial to him in reducing the abscess. All the best to Eddy, thanks again Nick and,Dan.🙏🙏
Thank you Nick for the update and doing your best for him. Hoping that antibiotics will work against the abscess. Thinking about Ed from South Africa🙏🙏🙏
Well done Nick, Dan and the team. You’re all doing a great job. What great friends you are, being there for him at this most difficult and traumatic time. Good luck to Eddy. Best wishes from me here in Bang Saray.
You are doing so much thanks for sharing everything Nick and thanks for advising Edd nick to get to the right hospital Edd can be stubborn but you have helped him so much thanks again
As Always Nick Thanks for the update on Eddy and your bar of course see you in July, and again you are a good man for doing this for Eddy as we all know here🙂
You are a good man Nick. I bet there are many people who have watched this video who wish they had a friend like you. Thank you for keeping us updated, it is much appreciated. Ed is very lucky to have met you.
Nick thanks for the update tell Ed to stay strong not great when you are in a hospital room for a long time he is in our prayers true legend you are helping him & he is a true legend also
Great content as always nick. Its worrying where he got the infection. M8 of mine got bacterial meningitis from songkran many years ago which was very bad at the time. Got to be very careful in thailand but enjoy it also. Last year i got ecoli and ended up in hospital and was really ill. Its just the luck of the draw sometime. Speedy recovery i hope for ed. Thanks nick
Thank you Nick for keeping us updated. We are all concerned about Eddie, and hopefully his back in the UK soon to continue his long recovery from this dreadful medical situation. Cheers mate. 👍
Nice one Nick ❤, get well soon Ed we enjoy your videos and look forward to many more in the future your in good hands now. from a Scouser in Australia 🙏
Please tell Ed to hang in there. With everything unexpected happening it's easy to get your mind into a tailspin. Let Ed know there are many people pulling for him with love, care and compassion that he get's through this with a miraculous outcome and shares an incredible story. Thank you Nick for being by Ed's side. You are the friend that many people aspire to have in their lives. Keep on being you. Aloha, from Hawaii.
I’ve never met Ed personally but I’m sure like a lot of others have watched many of his videos. It must be a nightmare with the constant waiting around to find out what’s going on but it’s good that he doesn’t have to go through it alone. Looking forward to future updates with good news. Cheers
That’s what I’m wondering too. Seems they could get him to Bangkok via ambulance for the actual surgery. The longer the mass sits on that brain, more likely of permanent damage. It’s a shame insurance dictates treatment.
Guessing the insurers want to get him back to UK so they can dump him on NHS and say not their problem anymore. Crazy thing is he will probably get far better treatment in Thailand than UK
The insurers have a duty of care now and so far they have stepped up. One more week on his current antibiotics (they changed) to see if there is improvement. I think they want to get him back to the UK but they just might have to operate here. He couldn't be in better care surrounded by the best neurologists who seem to know what they are doing. The time is frustrating but the whole situation will take many months.
Ed's probably better there than being at the mercy of the NHS. My dad went in in Feb for pneumonia and they tried with antibiotitics for 2 weeks then we got the 'pallative care' line. 7 hours later he was dead.
That’s terrible ! Very sorry for your loss 😢. One thing I don’t understand is why they just don’t treat him fully in Thailand, especially as he lives in Thailand - he has insurance so just treat him there ! That’s what he pays insurance for, same as when I’m in Thailand I get travel insurance.
On the other hand , I was in pattaya waking up to find I couldn't move in extreme pain in my neck and head, saw numerous so called specialist and scans only later to be told I had a trapped nerve, (all this over 5 days) I was that bad. I felt I was going to die because I was badly straight through customs got to England same day my doctor visited me called a ambulance loads of tests in 5 hours was having a emergency operation, apparently I had sepsis in my neck, it had eaten my disks in my neck and then started to eat my vertebrae causing it to be like Swiss chess and collapsing trapping my spinal cord, all this had been going on over several days, thanks to the complete incompetence of the so called specialist I now have constant pain and disability for the rest of my life, which could have been avoided if I had the operation from day one, and if I had not come home to England the Nero surgeon here told me I would have died within a week, so before wishing you were in a Thai hospital believe me from my experience all they cared about was how much money they could get out of me even when I discharged myself, they told me no we need to treat you for at least another week, if I had listened to them I would not be here and this is one of their top Nero surgeon they brought from bangkok who completely missed all the symptoms of sepsis
@@justluvit1Nail on the head pal. I believe the NHS is a highly skilled and experienced institution, which is definitely better overall than the Thai medical system which is reliant upon people paying for their care. Also chances are that any truly qualified Thai doctor would've been educated in the UK.
*New Subscriber* : A friend in need is a friend indeed, and you are proving to be a solid friend to Ed. Well done that man. Fair play to both Nick and Dan. You will go down in history for this and no one will ever forget what you have done for Eddy. I bet it must be taken over your lives at the moment. Thanks for the update 🙏👍 I don't do social media but i would like to visit, I'll message Ant or pop in the bar one night. Take care eddy try and stay positive, we are all here for you mate
When my husband got ill in Pattaya ,I phone our insurance in Canada and the send us to the Bangkok hospital. I med another foreigner that went to the more local hospital and he got transfers to the Bangkok hospital because they sometimes can’t or won’t deal with foreigners due to language and care problems. There is only one thing to do get the travel and med insurance possible.
Thanks for updating us. Some of us have been following Ed for quite a few years now and are genuinely worried about him. I can't understand why they want to send him back as opposed to dealing with him there. I've never heard of this condition before. I hope it's not something more sinister. God bless Ed.
Like when you have a tooth abscess or any abscess anywhere on the body they cannot touch it until the infection is under control as it simply will not heal..any infection can also cause a rise in blood pressure and temperature as the body fights the infection …it’s a delicate situation for poor Ed as any infection can take weeks to completely heal..hopefully the change in Antibiotics will help..our thoughts and prayers are wishing Ed a speedy recovery.
Nic thank you for all you are doing for Eddie. Thank you for keeping Eddie’s friends and subscribers up to date. The only small mercy is that this is an infection and not a tumor. Hopefully the new anti biotic will do its job for the better. 🙏
