I remember this show!! One of my grandma's watched it. I was very young but always wondered what happened to her. I can still hear "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," in my mind. This was interesting. I learned a lot. Thanks, as always, for quality topics. You're making surgery recovery more bearable. 😊
It seems like it was on much longer than two seasons!!

Louise Lasser was an outstanding actress who was one of the best at making the characters she played seem completely real. She is underrated and should have been offered more leading roles in movies, TV, and on stage. I haven't seen everything she acted in, but in my opinion she should have won the Emmy for her performance in Mary Hartman, especially for season 1. I am very surprised that Louise has not been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I remember this show on TV. It seemed to come on late at night, probably passed our bedtime (I was 7 or 8 at the time). I remember Carol Burnett doing a parody of it called 'Mary Heartburn, Mary Heartburn'.

I remember” Mary Hartmann Mary Hartman” I was ten back then.Boy was it depressing but I liked to see her come into the kitchen,as seemingly all the episodes started out 🤣. I was so young and naive,I didn’t know what the show was about😆.The most surprising fact for me was her being married to Woody Allen of whom I don’t like.

Its been years since I saw that movie but Take The Money And Run was a great satire and parody of crime movies and Cool Hand Luke. I really didn't get into Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman but Louise Lasser was a good comedic talent that seemed to have potential to become more. It's too bad that she also had so much tragedy in her life with her parents.

I remember my mom watching Mary Hartman back in the day. It played after the 11o'clock news on one of the New York stations. My sister & I weren't allowed to watch it, which was a smart move on my mom's part. The adult material wasn't suitable for 8& 9 year olds.
