Louie Prima was such a fun performer! This is from his Las Vegas lounge act years - this recording was meant to capture the atmosphere at his live shows. I believe that's his then-wife Keely Smith with those great background vocal parts.
Louis Prima was also the voice of "King Louie" from the movie "The Jungle Book." This very band was used to record that song "I Wanna Be Like You." There was definitely a reason they called him and the band "The Wildest." Cause like you said, you can tell they were having a party! How about "Pennies From Heaven" next? Or a duet from him with the girl in this song. Keely Smith is her name.

My friends back in the 90's used to rock a version of that song as part of the bogus punk rock circus act they used to perform before their drummer was shot dead by an irate driver.
