That was a great group, friend. I developed a flinch a couple of months back, and you gave me the earplugs tip. I did not try it, just concentrated on not flinching and it went away. Thanks for the reminder, never know when it could happen again!
I was shocked on how ppl complained of accuracy bc i took mine out first day and made some scope adjustments and i was hitting silver dollar size targets with it at 25 to 30 yds and it seemed like it hit pretty hard i was impressed
That was a pretty nice grouping Chief… you got that thing pretty happy…I had a Blackhawk elite II (I think that’s what it was called) that I gave to a buddy. I liked it a lot… he’s having a blast with it too… heavy rifle, but seemed to do alright with CPHPs… good budget rifle, just had to tighten the screws after every 25 shots or so…
I did a bore polish on my impact and it lost energy. When I pushed a pellet through before I polished it, it was stop and go in like 4 spots then the choke barely applied in the last half inch of barrel. My advice about the barrel, don't mess with it.
i own one and love it,i found there is a trigger adjustment for the range of the draw it does not lessen the pull but you can make the draw shorter and i also use pointed pellets but use the 17 grain rugger pellets,it works great for keeping woodchucks out of my garden lol
Great shooting Travis. The Pelletgage and a little sorting and you'll be shooting near 1" groups with that rifle. The bad thing is in the last 2 years it went from $129 up to $165 at Wally World.
@@ohshoot444 Nice pickup for you then. My buddy got a good one too! Like I said 35 yards on a 1' spinner. He did 7/10 and I got luck and got 9/10. Did you get those RWS samplers? Try those pointed too!
I like the look's of it ! Exept the plastic rail it looks like a nice air rifle overall Pointys in .177 are doing fine in alot of my air rifles so I was hoping you would love them a little bit more at some *point* hehe ;p Great video once again Sir!
70 degrees huh? It’s colder than that in Honolulu right now LOL! We have thunderstorms keeping me from shooting today😤🤣… good to see you shooting bro… happy for you, sad for me😂
I've dropped beaver, at 40 yds with it. Same ammo. It's not my bolt action, target guns. But, I never expected it to be that. It's what you bought. It's good at being that.
Probably just a loose fitting pellet sometimes the skirt on the pellet gets tweaked bouncing around in the tins , I made a mandrel for my pellets and checked all before using for small game hunting
The usual comment is that Crosman pellets work best in Crosman guns. My Benjamin Titan .22 shoots Crosmans OK, but RWS Hobbys are the best so far, about 3/4" for 10 at 20 yds. I have some Ruger SuperPoints to try. I haven't found anything that work in my Ruger Air Hawk .177 yet. I have tried mostly Crosman, Daisy, and Gamo. RWS will be next. I have an assortment. If nothing there works, I'll look for some JSB or H&N. Something has to work in that rifle. That's what I think about this Ruger Impact. Keep trying. Something might surprise you.
While it looks crappy I'm sure that the scope rail is acting as a pretty good shock absorber for the scope. I take it there's no way to adjust the trigger? I'm sure you could easily drop a 1/2" from the main group with a much lighter trigger.
I used to have one of those and seems like it had an adjustment for trigger travel only. That is, first stage travel I think it was. But that was all. Otherwise the trigger sucked, very hard and crunchy feeling. The rifle I had was very accurate and powerful though. I just couldn't get used to the trigger so I gave the gun away.
That was some good shooting buddy. Do you know why when your live, on our TV there is a few seconds of delay. I signed in and all just didn't know if there was something I could change. Thanks buddy
What lubrication do you suggest then? Because I think the manufacturers of airguns wouldn't suggest something that wouldn't work. But I'm always open to new info. Do you manufacture airguns?
Hello, I would like to know where I can get a diagram or a video of the trigger parts, please, since in Uruguay I have not found someone to put it together.
Yeah that’s normal. I’d shoot it 50 or so times and put some silicone oil down the transfer port (a drop or two) and clean your bore. There’s a lot of assembly lube left in those rifles and that loud noise is detonation of that lubricant.
Ever since I was nearly cornholed by Bigfoot I carry mine everywhere

Son, you are very knowledgeable.loved how you gave the temperature before placing that nice first shot

You know how it is you're always going to have a flyer. Have a good one Travis
Howdy from OBX. Eventually id love to live out in the mountains of NC. Thanks for your time in making this video.👍
You're very welcome! I'd like a house down your way one day. I was at Cherry Point for a few years. Loved it down there.
Trigger is completely adjustable and once you set it right it’s amazing
You should do a video on it.
Not too bad bro a bit windy to plink today awesome show
That's why I added a bipod on mine for accuracy

Congrats
I have done the same with the earplugs and I agree. Even if the gun isn’t too loud it can still make me jump if I don’t know when the trigger breaks.

Thanks for that info! I’m not 100% sure about bore polishing myself.
I have the original impact in 22 and I had to put my scope down onto to dovetail rail.
I have the same gun, you can adjust the trigger pull with small screwdriver through trigger guard!!

I’m not sure I’d pay $165. I have a lot less for this one. I don’t think they could get the scope to work and sold it cheap.

got the trying to freeze junk happening here in the middle of Indiana.
Very nice shooting ruger ain’t that bad there accurate
Walmart online has the winchester 1100s for $24.98. great deal
I bought 4 at that price! I'm really liking this rifle after getting used to the squishy trigger. It's a hard hitter and accurate out to 30ish yards.

Same ammo.

40 feet, not yards, lol...
I did feel inadequate lol.

I’m super limited in what 22 cal pellets I have. But, it’s a fun rifle to shoot for sure.

I’m not sure why it does that. I wish I knew though,
@@ohshoot444 thanks buddy. I guess that's just the way it is. I've tried everything.
just a youtube thing, when you're live there's a pretty big delay reading comments especially, if that's what you're meaning.
@@modelnutty6503 The TV is always a few seconds behind while watching. Another words if Travis shoots when see it on phone it be 5secs later on TV.

different networks?
Silicone oil , any oil in the air side will fry an air chamber in an Airgun if anything happens to be plastic.

I would try the forums
Quick question, did your ruger impact elite quiet down after a few shots into it?????...just curious before mine did

I got way better accuracy by removing that awful plastic bottle on the end of the barrel, along with re-crowning.
Can it drop a thug if attacked from the shadows while stepping out of my car
No. Gonna need to get a glock for that.
