This is one of my favorite scales. Because of it's structure it is one of the most important scales there is. I also like the Kumoi scale quite a bit. A book like this for Major b6 Pentatonic would also be very useful.

I have just recently bought your book‘chromatic lead guitar techniques which I think is excellent. I love sound of the strat and single coil pickups which I also play. I would like to ask you what overdrive pedal you use. Thank you, I will purchase your new book soon.

Hi Chris, for rock, I usually use a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive (the yellow one) through a Cornford head; however, for the chromatic book, I used a Zendrive pedal and a Marshall compressor (pedal) and a typical country-style slap back echo.
