@@Lavenia12 she doesn’t go into detail bc that’s not the point of the video. it’s a challenge, not a spoiler filled reading vlog. she probably doesn’t give more than a general explanation bc a lot of people would say she spoiled the books.
@@Lavenia12 well reviews are not explanations of the books themselves, they’re how she felt about the book. and i don’t think the point of wrap ups are to really explain the books either. more like just to show what she read and what she rated it. i think if you want to know more about the book itself, book-specific reading vlogs would go into more detail

Honestly it’s harder to pretend that you read a book than actually reading it lol
I’m kind of a slow reader, and I constantly see comments on bookstagram about how people are “lying” when they say they read 20-30 books a month and I find that honestly stupid. The amount of books a person is able to read in a day, week, month, or year depends on so many things like their reading speed, their passion for reading, the amount of time they have, the genre of the book they’re reading, the length of the book, whether they have kids or not, whether they’re self employed or not, and so many other factors that go into it. Just because you see a person that says they read a lot, it doesn’t mean that they’re lying. You wouldn’t call someone a liar if they said they watched 4 seasons of a long series in 1-2 days, would you?
that’s so crazy that people don’t think you’re reading the books, I read pretty fast and can finish a book in 2-3 hours. Literally the other day I read hunting adeline (700+ pages) and finished it in about 4 hours because of how invested I was.

Play a podcast you don't really give a damn about, so you don't really listen to it since you're not even interested, it's just noise
@@houdahaoufi9556yeah that wouldn’t work, for me at least 😅 the words still get picked up and interpreted by my brain and it distracts me from what my eyes are trying to input. Different strokes for different folks though. I listen to instrumental or ambiance tracks that are wordless and I can concentrate ❤

Personally I feel like starting at midnight one night and finishing at midnight the next would be the best way to go about a 24 hour challenge. Like set a alarm to wake up the night you start like at 11:30 then get started reading so your only going through half the night at a time.

I can typically read a 350 page book in about 2-3 hours depending on complexity. So I totally get where you're coming from. I think people are just jealous. Ignore them. You're awesome no matter what they say. 😁

Do you skim or thoroughly read? Asking because I want to increase my speed and looking for tips! ❤ And if skimming how can you tell what’s important and what to focus in on vs what’s just “fluff”?
@@Wndrlnd9 It really depends on the book! Sometimes I skim but I try not to, so that I can leave a fair review. Mostly I skim when I get bored by the book.
I can read really fast too, in school we had a limit we could check out but because I would go to the library multiple times a week the librarian doubled my limit and my teachers used to give me hell for reading the material so fast in class and didn’t believe I could go through it that quickly so I get it 💗
I don't understand how people are questioning your speed when reading. If I genuinely am not busy and I am interested in the book i will finish it in less than 4 hours. So I dont understand why they questioning you😭😭

I stopped joining reading challenge because of people accusing me of cheating because I'm a fast reader, it got very frustrating and getting attacked for silly things isn't fun, I read for fun not for competition anyway but I'd love to do a full 24h of reading, I always fail 😭 challenging myself is harder than challenging others

First of all when people have been reading for years and actually ENJOY reading ,it’s not hard to read fast! I've Heard is better to start in the morning because if you start at night then you've already been up for 12 plus hours so you'll technically be up for 36 plus hours rather than just 24 hours. So you start in the morning when you wake up and then you go till the morning the next day is 24 hours versus starting at night when you've already gone about your day.

i can ready about 100 pages an hour when i’m really into a book but sometimes i can only get 50 pages an hour if i’m having a bad day. everyone’s speeds are different all that matters is that you enjoy the book❤

You should read A Magic Steeped in Poison, it’s a YA fantasy/mythology book and what I loved the most was how it jumps straight into the plot from the first page. It doesn’t take chapters for you to figure out everything you need to know. And the story and magic system is so interesting.
