the speed you read books at is actually unnnnnbelievable
I listen at 2x speed and I think you just get used to the wild speed haha. Like its painful for me to listen 1-1.5 speed now 😂

When I am at full mental ability I can also read very fast. However, when I am not able to physically read due to my disability, I listen to books fast. I read about a 1-1.5 pages a minute when my disability isn't a problem

There is something called skimming
You can read fastly by just looking at the most important words in a line and you get the ideas
She can also skip the useless phrases in dialogues (she said, he said....)

@@sorine1746 It is easy to read fast when you are reading for a 'vibe' than actually for learning.
@@sorine1746 I usually read 100-150 pages an hour for most books, and it's just my natural speed lol. I don't skim or skip anything; I just don't subvocalize which allows me to "block" words together (i.e. if my eyes can physically see 4 words at once, then I don't need to individually look at and interpret each word on their own - I can read the 4 words in once glance, and then the next 4, and then the next, etc.) 🤷 nothing wrong with someone who *doesn't* read that fast of course, but just bc something is incomprehensible to one person doesn't mean it's not possible for someone else!!
Video idea !
A 24h hour readathon, but relay style. You're two person and you can stop as long as the other takes the relay to read. Per exemple, you catch a nap while the other person reads and vice versa, but one person always have to be reading! (Maybe you could even push it to a 48h goal.) Anyway, sounds fun to watch!

i love the way you edit your videos, but i would love it if we could see more clips of you reading!! i had to go back in the video because i was so confused that in one clip you started shark heart and the next one you were completely finished with it! I know you read fast and you were probably just sitting in one place, but getting an update maybe even halfway through or something would’ve been great!
