One of the things I wanted was rear windows on the new Promaster Van so I ordered some glass and start cuttin Randy has a unique hair action today :) - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Looks clean! Only thing I would recommend to others watching this for install advice would be to file you cut edges and paint them to prevent rusting! Otherwise straightforward!
Big set of Balls, cutting up a new van.... :)
Looks awesome
hahahaha yeah how much could a new door cost if I screwed up ..... LOL
Great Dave..now you can sleep out of the rain after Jennifer sees the video of herself on the patio!!!
NOOOOO doubt Vern LOL
Stylish and practical. Nice work on the install Dave.
Not sure on the practical after IM done hahahaha thanks bro :)
There were a couple of times that I was holding my breath waiting for the window to fall ! Lol. And, there can’t be too many Milwaukee tools left that you don’t have!!
I have "most" of them LOL I thought about dropping it also - whew :)
I'd have never thought installing a window was that easy....at least looked that easy.
Really wasnt that hard at all M, biggest deal is cutting the hole :)
nice bud. your house looks amazing from the front. total difference
It is "slightly " better hahaha Thanks for the kind words :)
Seeing out of the back is a good thing lol …. Great install Dave , cant wait to see more. Take care brother...
Thanks Bro !
I think the van series will be good, keep em coming. Enjoying seeing how you build it out. Haha 12v hair dryer!
LOL yeah Randy's hair was a bit off that day ..... like he had been ..... working - hahahahaha
The Nissan at 3:41 looks like the back doors on my Transit Connect.
I got a new door , just havent had time to paint it and install LOL
Looks great! Probably wouldn't hurt to run a few 12V led lights in the back too ;)
Love this! Dave, what vinyl trim molding did you use???
Hi! We are going to install our rear windows and your video was helpful! Question for you: where did you get the rear window molding that you put in before the window? Ours didn't come with that and we are wondering if we are missing a piece or if we need to buy it elsewhere. Thank you!!!
Maybe it is too late for you .... but man ..... hearing protection. It is a good idea.
What ??? What ??? Speak up .... Hahahaha
I noticed you didn't use the recommended primer before applying the adhesive. Any problems? I'm asking because I just installed a side window using Sika's "primerless" P2G only to find out they also recommend using primer so now I'm worried that the bond may fail.
You said in the video that you had already ordered the side step. Do you have a video or the part? I need to install on my Promaster. Thanks
crackin me up!
Hi dave , where did u get the glass from?
👍
Recently installed these and followed your video exactly (Thank you for posting this)! I’ve since ran into a “hiccup” with both windows leaking. I’m pretty sure I used more urethane than you, and am baffled. Did you run into any problems with leaking? Any suggestions to remedy?
Did you figure out the leaking issues?
Damn Dave !!! Looking svelte!!! How much have you lost? Keep it up!!! It must be the michelobe ultra!! Lol
hey dave, are you getting the locksmith package for the van or are you putting your own stuff in? man,I love these vans so much, wish the usa had a diesel though.
They dont make the Diesel any more -at least for now, I bout a "Electrician package" made by Kargo Master then spent another 2K for additional shelves and junk - it is looking goooooood LOL
the hvac took the longest time :)
@6:35 cutting metal hot with no eye safety? I'd like to install vintage black steel louvers with just a mosquito screen on the inside on a promaster city rather than cutting a vent in the roof.
Nice work, are you going to be installing dingle balls too? 😀
Hmmmm - Im thinking about that LOL
yeah dave you'll get a lot of light with those tinted windows lol.
I know right ? but truthfully it is more than you think - wihout any windows I felt like Helen Keller LOL
that's why I like you Dave you funny lol.
savage no safety shield while cutting....... boom disc explodes and takes Daves eyes out hahahahahaha
Safety ? We dont need no stinkin safety ..... hahahaha
the American Culture no work safety and no proper training for people in the trades. A company I worked for over a decade ago opened up a manufacturing plant in Texas building oil and gas equipment. I tell you trying to get skilled workers is extremely hard. A person can be flipping burgers at mcdonalds then buy a welding helmet and a chipping hammer and boom that person is a welder. Plus it seems most trades people down south seem to have some sort of criminal record or addiction problem. that's my experience and opinion
It's epidemic, acceptable, and spreading.
Save that sheet metal, that is good for patch panels.
it actually is - very stiff :) ID - you know the thing to do for me is to "save something - the hoarder in me actually wanted the wrecked beyond repair Ranger hahahahaha
Redneck Garage my dad is on his 3rd Ranger, he bought a new one in 2010 because they were going to stop making them. He still has it to this day, has like 30K miles on it. I even bought one new in 07. I have a real soft spot for Rangers too, they’re so good. Such a shame yours got wrecked.
That is awesome about your dad - that Ranger will last him forever :)
Creeper van..lol....
Dan - get your mind out of the gutter hahahahaha
Dude, are you losing weight?
Yeah lost 40lbs :)
Has to be the worst window fitting video I’ve seen, no primer, not enough adhesive. just pushing the cut part out no thought about paintwork
