- This is a 2018 Ram Promaster 2500 159wb. I added spray foam insulation, luan walls painted white, rear wall (per owners request), with a 5000 btu window a/c unit (yes you do have to have the back doors open to run the a/c), it has a twin bed, seating on both sides, a pull out table, chest style refrigerator/ freezer, a 5kw Chinese diesel heater, 18" sink, Residential faucet with hose, 7gal fresh water, 7gal gray water, butcher block counter top, a 24" closet, bulkhead wall with sliding doors, 10 LED puck lights, dimmer switches, 2 maxxair fans, 600 watts of Renogy solar, rover 40a MPPT charge controller, Renogy 2000w pure sinewave inverter/ charger, 2 Vmax 6v 225ah batteries (will be adding 2 more soon), and a 4 camera monitor system. My part of THIS build (owner already had some of the stuff) was $15,000.00 parts and labor.
I am located in Taswell Indiana (47175) ,

Absolutely beautiful design.....really. Not sure that I will ever have a van, but if I run into someone who needs one.....I will for sure get them to look at this video. Great job, and Its nice that she has the option to turn the closet into a bathroom. Bravo!
Gorgeous craftsmanship Red. You always hit it out of the park. 💜
Ani Brito where can I get information on the video monitoring. Can it record on a loop? Great job BTW.
Ani Brito oops, that was supposed to be a public comment.
Good thing because I wouldn’t know the answer 😂
Remarkable workmanship! Excellent job on the bulkhead pocket doors.
Nice work
I’d have to have a bath/ shower and a Tv. Then good to go😁
Awesome for a travel nurse
One of the best build I've seen on CZcams. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!!! What a great job! Love how everything fits so cleanly!
Would never have thought to put a pull out table into the bed frame. So nice!
Thanks for describing the dimensions. I wish all van tours did that. Would help the rest of us with our builds.
Very nice, I noticed that you often recycle good items such as factory lamps or clients sinks, fridge. It all makes sense and good savings.
I like the sliding doors on the cabinets which guarantees that nothing is going to ever fall out. Nice job! #RCD
I think that this is the best setup, so far. I too would like a shower but she's a nurse so perhaps she can use the hospital facilities.
Your workmanship is spectacular. ❤️🇨🇦
Congratulations ! Awesome workmanship, superb look. If I could, I would trust you my van conversion.
Really like the build. If I ever...you're the man. No stove, no shower, no toilet. I'd have to have all those. Super clean look.
The stove is solvable with a portable propane stove, though, and the toilet by getting a composting toilet and putting it in the closet, for instance. Possibly on sliders so you can pull it out. I'm really surprised a build for a lady doesn't have the toilet situation covered already. A shower you can work around and shower elsewhere, but if she wakes up in the middle of the night, having to leave the van or even having to find a toilet and then leave the van just seems like a bad idea. A home without a toilet is just silly in my opinion. I'm a guy and I still want a way to go to the bathroom without having to find some disgusting public toilet or using a bucket.
@@lorcro2000
The toilet can be the bucket system. Go, seal, and toss.
@@bernadettebockis4120 Sure. It's just fiddly, kind of disgusting, stinky and there's always the possibility of an accident. A composting toilet is a proper toilet, with ventilation that sucks out any odors.
@@lorcro2000 Can you be Stealth with a composting toilet?
Im new to all this. Wondering if I found a spot, say in a large apartment complex to park, would the ventilation to the outside be a dead giveaway that someone was in there? That the van probably didnt belong there??
@@sheiladale6200 There's probably nothing like stealth to begin with. People who have lots of vehicle dwellers in that area tend to learn to spot them. A van needs things to be livable anyway, like a Maxxfan or two on the roof, solar panels etc. And you need to block windows to not roast in the sun. You can't eliminate all clues regardless, but if you park smart you can work around it. As for the toilet, you can vent it under the van, so that's not going to be a giveaway.
Love it Red. You always do an outstanding job. Everyone loves mine. Thanks as always
You do great work. I'll keep you in mind when I get ready for my van build.
Your getting better with each build.
Love the 4 camera monitor system idea... wonderful craftsmanship!😂👍♥️♥️♥️
Awesome build I love the back wall design on your projects
Awesome build! Think I might be coming to see you in a couple years.
Great idea for having a 4 camera security system. Another great build. You do awesome work,Red..Really great the A/C will work off the solar system.. I agree would need to make the closet a little bigger then be able to have a shower.. I notice no toilet..That I would need..Lots of storage space.I enjoyed the tour..Thank for the video,Red..
@@bookbakery Yes that would work or porta pot.Thank you for your reply..
I am sure she will be thrilled. I love the bbc safety features, perfect setup.
Great job! It's nice to see a really pro build.
A really nice van. I'd prefer a wet bath and would store more water. All up though, really good for a single traveller.
I really like the idea about having the cameras all the way around I thought of that myself but I would have had a much bigger monitor to peek in on what was going on outside. And for me I would definitely need wider than 24in also LOL thanks for the insight I will keep some of your ideas in mind
Best conversion I've ever seen and I've looked at a lot
Awesome build. You’re a master. Such clean lines. Super.
Liked the fact that you did a good job at a reasonable price.....I am also an RN (nevermind my youtube name) and am looking to do 3mos travel nursing assignments starting late next year so a mobile home like this one (I've been looking at the same 2500 hitop 159 WB version) would be my home away from home.
nice build! that camera system is very interesting.
Great build. Plenty of storage too.
wow!! really love your work!! looks very nice!!
You do nice work! Great job!
Fantastic eye for space and detail!
This gives me a much better idea of what I can fit in . I’m definitely saving this video . I’ve been looking for a video with the security cameras . I’d like to hide mine in a roof rack . I think I’ll eliminate the cooler and put a stand up refrigerator where the bench seat on the passenger side is . I don’t know what I’ll put where the cooler is . Maybe a cabinet with a cooktop above . I’m sure it’s perfect for her just the way it is .
Amazing job! If you're still doing them in a few years when I retire I'm coming to you. This is very close to the layout I want. Cheers!
Crazy amazing craftsmanship!!
Another really nice job
Great job man. Good informative tour! 👍
Lovely work.
Lots of good ideas.
WOW, you are great at designing a perfect van 🤩
The perfect van is what the customer wants. Thats what he does.
You do amazing work. It is beautiful
Fantastic build and demo.
Great job Red!!! If we ever decide to have a build out done, we'd love you to do it!! Excellent work!!
Wow i love it. Couple changes i would make. The side door on the van when its open i would add a like fenced in with a door on the side. And the rear the same way with a door in the center. Two exits are better that one. The fencing to keep pets inside.
You do really good work man!
Great job! Hoosier here planning and dreaming of your work in my van someday! Take care🚎🤓🐕🐕
FANTASTIC JOB on the build and the video very thorough but not to talkative. I am a Furniture Builder/Cabinet Maker/ Kitchen Remodeler. Lived in a bus in my younger years and always had an appreciation for this kind of stuff. Maybe someday talk the wife into a van build and going on the road LOL. The family lives in Michigan may stop by sometime who knows? Think it would be great to do what you do.
Awesome build. Great space.
Love the security and ac
Looking forward to get one built. Right now I'm Van shopping.
that's great work Red
Awesome look,secure, great for a travel nurse...i
You did a great job.
For a spartan build, it all looks great. The new owner will have what she asked for, nothing more or less, to suit her taste. The way it fits together, it should hold up well over time.
What a great thing you have done..😁
Nice looks like a perfect set up
Nice work!!
Very nice work!
First real stealth camper I’ve ever seen.
Great build!
Amazing. Great job!
What skills you have !
Beautiful!!! Bravo 👏
Great WORK !!!!
Stunning!
Great job!
A very nice build. I look forward to consulting with you somday.
Great job.
I really like it!
Great job
Okay Best one I have seen youtube!
I absolutely love this. Please do my E350 extended cab with fiberglass roof cap
Pefect job!
Hey homeboy! I put in my comment before I finished hearing that you are from Indiana also I'm visiting right now in North Carolina I might just have to stop by
Great Job!!!
Gorgeous
Wow! Love it!
Hi Red, excellent build! Have been looking into a Promaster. Thanks for sharing your build. As others mentioned, curious about the 4 camera monitoring system used and any installation details you could provide.
it is amazing!
Very nice !👍
Would love you to do my family of 4 conversions every thing tho maybe drill holes for bed platform for air flow so no mold insure later . Great build red
If you don't keep your van shut up all the time its not a problem. I drove truck for over 20y and never had any mold problems. She's been living in this van for almost 2 years with no problems.
Very nice!!
Wow! Nice!
Very nice!
Very nicely done. I'd like to know how the cameras are attached.
Great Van. I would like windows.
i am a nurse
this is perfect
now i know which can to buy AND where to get it built ❤️🙏✝️🇺🇸
Nice quality build, not the layout I could live with, like being in a emergency under ground bunker when closed up. Not sure how anybody could live in that full time with no windows.
But you did a fine job with the instructions you were given.
Pat - Some people say you don’t live in your Van, you live out of your Van. You just use it to sleep in.
Jordan Elias Yes I hear that, Bob Wells says that all the time on his channel.
well done
The craftsmanship is amazing ! There aren’t any windows 🥵
It has 2 fans and a a/c
Excellent, as a single woman I like the security cameras, I like this build very much. My concern is lifting waters containers. Is there a was to make an access to spout on out side of cabinet, bring hose in to insert and fill?
If I can do this some day, since I have allergies is there safe insulation products. Like the ventilation fas and air fans. Waiting till there can create 1000 watts in a small footprint on the roof. Thank you for you tour, I love the real wood, non off gas products in use.
It's like a mobile panic room! :-) Would be nice if the cameras came in white. Really nice build though.
Wow. Wish I could get that much solar on my roof.
Quality👍
This is my favorite build so far. Thanks for sharing.
What the make of the camera system?
Nice
Love!!! ❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️
wonder if other security for cab doors, like slide bolts not easily reached through the windows, might work, and add loud siren she could set off manually
What would you need a slide bolt for? The bulkhead door is not to keep anyone from getting to you. Its for privacy and to buy you time to get your protection of choice.
I love everything! Beautiful work 👍🏼 Can she lock the back storage (garage) ? Can you turn off the light on the back when the a/c is running at night?
Yes, the storage doors lock. Yes, it's the factory light and has a on/off switch.
nice
This is really well thought out and beautifully executed. How long did this build out take?
3 - 6 weeks
Like a mobile safe house
